AlhajiYoung: The Fulani community in parts of Kajuru Local Government Area, Kaduna State, have abandoned the area after an attack on Feb. 11, which left 66 of them, mostly women and children dead.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that what remained of the Rugar Fulani community were burnt houses, animals, motorcycles, kitchen utensils, as well as were bodies of women and children buried in a ditch.
Gov. Nasiru El-Rufa’i, accompanied by General Officer Commanding 1 Division Nigerian Army, the Police Commissioner and journalists who visited the villages on Saturday, found the entire area deserted with no humans in sight.
Speaking on the attack, the GOC, Major- Gen Faruk Yahaya said troops deployed to the area after the attack, assisted by some villagers, discovered 37 bodies of women and children buried in a ditch and the settlements burnt.
“We were informed that the women were lured by the miscreants to the stream, and on getting there, they were slaughtered.
“The figure of deaths recorded by us is 66, but in collaboration with sister agencies, we will ensure peace is restored and people return to their settlements”.
On his part, the Commissioner of Police, Ahmad AbdurRahman explained that though the police had mopped up the area, the residents still fled their settlements in fear of more attack.
He confirmed the arrest of seven suspects in connection with the attack, adding that they would be charged to court on Monday.
The police chief said investigation was continuing, adding that it was largely to identify the miscreants and isolate them from the good people within the communities so as to restore lasting peace.
Also speaking, the governor lamented over the politicisation of the situation by being in denial of the real issues at stake.
“Some leaders are living in denial. They are saying only 11 were killed and the security have said 66 were killed while the community said over a hundred were killed and missing”, El-Rufa’i noted.
He advised the people to be vigilant, as those politicizing the issue have disregarded those that died simply because they were not from their tribes.
“All lives are sacred and equal, hence we must collectively bring an end to this menace,” he said.
(NAN) Hope the same approach would be used when next fulani herdsmen go on rampage against non fulani communities elsewhere. what is good for the goose is good for her gander |

kirajustice: @POLITICSNGR
PoliticsNGR has been furnished with a leaked tape of APC National Leader, Bola Ahmed Tinubu promising to share huge sums of money if President Muhammadu Buhari wins the 2019 General Elections.
Tinubu Could be heard saying in Yoruba;
“For all those who have come to Bourdillon, you know why we are here. We are here for mobilisation. You know what I mean by mobilisation.
So, as registered APC members, you have to go and get your neighbours to come out and vote for the APC. It is after I have seen the favourable results of the elections that I will bring out good money.
Buhari does not have the money that I want to steal and he doesn’t have the money I want to take from him. Also, he does not have the war chest for this presidential election.
Therefore, whatever I’m promising you is for real – and it is coming from my own pocket. It is not until I go to Alausa before I can get money to give you.”
Listen to the Shocking Tape HERE
https://politicsngr.com/breaking-leaked-tape-tinubu-promising-share-huge-money-buhari-wins-listen/ Wrong to say he is loyal to Buhari.....his mission is his own future ambition as presidential candidate of APC.....as such he sacrifices the progress of Nigeria. If Tinubu were current Nigeria's president would he allow economy go this bad and ruin his name ? I doubt.....but he has a mission. change the bad change....bring the good one. Be Atikulated |

Am not yoruba but my love for Osinbajo i cannot even explain, a very simple, godfearing, charistmatic, energetic VP that ll take over in 2023 by the special grace of Almighty God Jubril of Sudan is my friend . |

They brainwashed you with "hunger in the land" slogan. They said 20million Nigerians lost jobs. Majority of those people who they said lost their jobs were construction company workers whose contract monies were diverted and cgould not continue as at the time PMB took over. With resumption of roads construction, rail construction, 2nd Niger Bridge, why are they not sincere to tell us how many Nigerians have been engaged? They tell us bankers lost jobs, who liquidated those banks? Did PMB or Osinbajo take loan from these banks? Who killed Cooperative bank? Who killed Societè Generale? Who killed Enterprise bank? Who killed Intercontinental? Who killed Skye bank? Some of them took loans ranging from 10billion and above and refused to pay back. The banks folded up and you hear them shamelessly saying Buhari made Nigerians lose their jobs. Since inception Buhari didn't sack anybody. In fact he employed more graduates and junior level officers into the civil/public service. He didn't owe salary. By 28 of every month all federal workers receive salaries. Because you are not well informed you sink their lies. They say Buhari plan to Islamize Nigeria. How possible? Even Military government cannot dare it. Nigeria is a secular State. They use our Christian leaders to brainwash us because we have no sense of history. In 1999-2001 you recall the religious riot in kaduna. I was in Kaduna then, many Christians were massacred. Obj and not PMB. Do you know that in Benue State farmer -fulani herdsmen had been at each other's throat since the military era? These kind of unhealthy political intrigues can only thrive in Nigeria where people have no sense of history or some people just want to deceive themselves. Those who plunged us into the den of hunger, job loss, darkness, decay infrastructure, insecurity and poor education are posing as messiah, they killed our university system for their own to thrive. It is only in Nigeria where a sitting president and his vice would approve for themselves, while in office, the licence to build universities. It is only in Nigeria where a president would abandon construction of National library and build multi billion naira presidential library in his hilltop mansion and the youths whose future is mortgaged will be clapping for them. After you raise dollar to record high leading to closure of my poultry farm you struggling to get back to square one me that my farm close down due to the administration economic strategy what should I do N12 million just go. Vote for who ? I am tired. murecool: OFFICE OF THE VICE PRESIDENT PRESS RELEASE
STRONG MOMENTUM & CONTINUOUS GROWTH IN ECONOMY FURTHER SHOW BUHARI ADMINISTRATION'S POLICIES WORKING
*2018 overall reflects sustained improvement in non-oil sector In what is a clear indication of the effectiveness of the economic policies of the Buhari presidency, Nigeria's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) figures recorded a marked improvement in the fourth quarter of 2018. According to the National Bureau of Statistics, NBS, the GDP figure for the last quarter in 2018 is 2.38 per cent, reflecting continuous growth. Below is a statement released in response to the new GDP figure by the Special Adviser to the President on Economic Matters, Dr. Adeyemi Dipeolu: "The latest figures released by the National Bureau of Statistics, 2.38 per cent for the fourth Quarter (Q4), 2018 show an appreciable improvement in the growth performance of the economy. The figures are encouraging in several respects. Notably, the growth recorded in the fourth quarter of 2018 (Q4 2018) was higher than both the growth of 1.81% in Q3 2018 and in the corresponding fourth quarter of 2017. Indeed, quarter-on-quarter growth from Q3 2018 to Q4 2018 was 5.31%, which signals a great potential for a higher annual growth rate. In annual terms, the growth rate more than doubled in 2018, rising to 1.93% as compared to 0.82% in 2017, again reflecting the strong momentum of growth. Also notable is the fact that growth in Q4 2018, and indeed for the whole year, owed a great deal to the performance of the non-oil sector. The non-oil sector grew at 2.7% in Q4 2018 as compared to 1.14% in the oil sector. The non-oil sector also grew by 2% in the whole year 2018 which was considerably better than its growth in the whole of 2017, which was 0.47%. The share of the non-oil sector in GDP was 92.94% while the oil sector contributed 7.06%. With the maintenance of this trend, the economic diversification objectives of the Economic Recovery and Growth Plan are well on their way to being met. It was encouraging that agriculture which accounts for 26.15% of total GDP grew by 2.46% in Q4 2018, while manufacturing grew by 2.09%. The service sector which accounts for 53.62% of GDP registered its strongest growth performance in 11 quarters. Transport and storage, as well and information and communication, were particularly notable growing at 13.91% and 9.65% in the whole of 2018. This owes a lot to the investments that are being made in roads and rail as well as in broadband infrastructure. The NBS figures also show that 39 out of 46 economic activities recorded growth in Q4 2018 which shows that growth across sectors is becoming more mutually reinforcing. This growth is consistent with the policies and principles of the Economic Recovery and Growth Plan (ERGP) relating to macroeconomic stability and economic diversification. When better economic fundamentals like lower inflation rates, increased foreign reserves, a more stable exchange rate and increased capital inflows are taken together with increased investments in the real sector, infrastructure, the social sector and business environment; it portends well for economic performance in 2019 and beyond. Indeed, the economy remains well on course to grow by 3% in 2019 as estimated in the Medium-Term Expenditure Framework." The Buhari administration will continue to pursue the ERGP diligently and Nigerians can expect that economic conditions will continue to get better even as we move on to the Next Level.
