Humanbeings sef. When you do nothing, they complain that you are not doing anything. When you do something, they complain that you did not do it well.

Well, I must say that Jonathan is doing something. He is not like those who came and scooped our money to their satisfaction without doing anything. Reviving a rotten system is not as easy as typing criticism on computer. We must start from somewhere and I am happy Jonathan has taken the step in the right direction. I wish him the courage to surmount the rot left behind for him by past leaders.

The Nigeria Police Force is not been left out in the wind of FRESH AIR blowing across the country. Here are some of the developments in the Nigeria Police in the last 2 years:

1. Complete rehabilitation of the Police College, Ikeja, Lagos.

2. Dismantling of police road blocks nationwide. Over the years, police road blocks became an avenue for corruption, and harassment of citizens. Some innocent citizens have even lost their lives from trigger happy police officers at police road blocks. This govt has now dismantled police road blocks and replaced them with motorized patrols and in some cases temporary observation posts.

3. Procurement of about 2,000 patrol vehicles. These patrol vehicles replaced the police road blocks.

4. The marine police have been empowered with patrol boats

5. Introduction of police camouflage uniforms. Unlike their counterparts in other parts of the world, the Nigeria Police didn't have camouflage uniforms.

6. Procurement and deployment of 13 helicopters to boost the flying wing of the police. Helipads are being built in geopolitical zones to facilitate the use of these helicopters.

7. Establishment of police intelligence schools. It is shocking that this never existed.

8. Upgrade of the police intelligence departments. The Nigeria Police Force now has the capacity to listen to phone conversation of criminals.

9. Increased partnership of the police with sister security agencies.

10. Creation of Police Museum.

11. Increased training and re-training of police officers.

12. The police now has its own in-house pension fund. The is to ensure more efficient settlement of entitlement of retired police officers.

13. Construction of modern police housing estates. The first modern police housing estate, the 200-Units Goodluck Jonathan Housing Estate, was commissioned in July 2013. Another 80-Units, the Sunday Badang Housing Estate in Abuja, was commissioned in November 2013. Late sergeant Badang died in an explosion in February 2012 whilst trying to defuse an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in Kaduna. These Housing Estates are meant to improve the standard of living of the Nigeria Police officers.

14. Establishment of the police mortgage bank. This is also geared towards better welfare for officers of the Nigeria Police Force.

These and many other internal measures have led to improved performance of the Nigeria Police Force and better security in most parts of the country.

I don't know why it is easier for journalists to call GEJ's name at the snap of the fingers than other persons name. I feel journalists should disclose all information, including names of actors because GEJ has opened the country to true democracy, and freedom of speech.

pandriod: OBJ is the most corrupt ex president alive. But on the hand, Jonathan is the most clueless and useless president of all time to have allowed OBJ to walk free.
I think Jonathan has taken OBJ to the Human Rights Commission in obedience to the rule of law.
Politics › Re: What’s REALLY President Goodluck Jonathan’s Ethnic Group? by jamace(m): 8:46pm On Jan 04, 2014
Nigeria politics is no longer on the three tripods of hausa, igbo and yoruba ethnic groupings but on a 6 geopolitical wheel. Therefore, Jonathan is from the South-South geopolitical axis and that is his representation.
Politics › Re: Amaechi's Kinsmen Reels Out Jonathan's Developmental Projects In Rivers State by jamace(m): 8:34pm On Jan 04, 2014
What useless attention does AMAECHI want to attract by placing that signboard with that funny inscription on it? It is true that federal roads are the federal govt's baby but states who carry out renovations of federal roads are usually reimbursed. I know of many state govts who have renovated federal roads and they have been reimbursed accordingly. AMAECHI should tell us if he has not been reimbursed by the federal govt and once the state has been reimbursed, it automatically means that the federal govt carried out such renovation through the state govt.
Politics › Re: Nigeria Major Problem Is Not Corruption But Ignorance by jamace(m): 8:18pm On Jan 04, 2014
OP, If the 5 year old child you interviewed knew what governors do, then Nigerians are not ignorant, they only lack the spirit of doing things right. And not doing things right is corruption.

This article is truth personified and pointblank.

Whether the article is meant to divide us or not, I don't care. We must negotiate equality in this country during the national conference or we bid bye-bye to this amalgamated nonsense. To be one Nigeria is not by force.

We must not live like monkey and baboon any longer.

PDP = Holding Nigeria down since time "Imo River".
It is OBJ who has been holding down Nigeria. Jonathan is the new kid on the block, breaking the grip of Obj on the nation and setting a new direction which is just and democratic, for the revival of development in Nigeria.

Support GEJ for the development and progress of Nigeria.

Your name says it all, CRAMjones. During exams/interview, you CRAM just to pass the exam, NOT that you know what you crammed. The same thing with CRAMjones. He CRAMS the figment of imagination of APC and pours them on Nairaland just to justify the huge money collected from this paymasters. grin grin

Because he CRAMS everything, he can only remember 50 names out of 1000 politicians on watchlist. I hope CRAMjones does not go mad soon trying to force imaginary enemies of APC into the minds of Nairalanders. grin grin

CRAMjones is the THIRD FORCE of APC on Nairaland grin grin grin.
