My people, grammar no be success (with due respect to Shina Peters). Patience Goodluck, by God's grace, is up there (highly powerful) and no grammar can bring her down. In the same vein, Soyinka is a force to be reckoned with in his own field but no grammar can take Soyinka up there. Both are operating at different levels and the earlier we recognise the levels for what they are, the better for us all. |
