Don't you know that the cobra fell into the well and was looking for a rescuer? The cobra only pretended to be protecting the puppies so that it will be rescued with the puppies. i don't see anything spectacular about this story, cobra don't kill what it doesn't eat. And those puppies are way bigger than what the cobra can swallow.. This is not a king cobra neither is it an anaconda or python. Snakes only inject venom into their prey's system,rarely does a snake bite with venom during self defence..it will most likely bite without venom so as to warn u off

I raised this point earlier too,those puppies look too big for that snake to swallow

wow! what a world of mutual peace and understanding even unto the breathing reptile. oh! what a great lesson and morals for we sapiens to emulate and live coz the cobra knows that if he eventually puts an end to those little puppies, someway or the other the owner could take him for a revenge. what a lesson!

Do reptiles(snakes especially) have the capability of 'protecting' another specie of animal? Snakes eat,hunt,breed purely on nature's hardwired instinct..so I have my doubts about the fancy story of 'protecting them from getting drowned' it may have left them mainly because they were too big for it and didn't seem to pose as a threat to it..and the little pups cowering in fear at a corner was their saving grace..then again cobras are one of the most 'intelligent' snakes..nature and her bag of surprises.
