He has failed already. |
Elections in Nigeria in last 15 years have all been rigged.Nigeria of today is more aware than Nigeria of many years back. The consciousness of today far outweigh the wherewithal of yesteryears. The crack on the corporate existence of Nigeria is more visible now than the bond of yesteryears. The masses are more daring these days than 15 years back. The weapons in the hands of individuals are more than those of 15 years back The hatred and audacity of the masses towards looters have grown considerably. As things are now, I believe that the masses are looking for "mugu" politicians like IBB to chop their own share and do wetin dey their belle. So, IBB watch out. |

Which state of emergency? With all the looting of treasury by our so-call leaders and the helplessness of EFCC, is it not time to declare a state of emergency on Nigeria government? |

Hmnn. If only our leaders know and uphold national interest above any other selfish interests, Nigeria would have been better than it is today. |
Should a leader who claimed he built a toilet for N10m be killed? |
He has turned himself to an unfortunate oyibo ![]() |
This is pure daylight looting of his people's mandate. I'm sure kidnappers have penciled him down for necessary action. On the other hand, I see PDP as a political kidnapper, using deprivation of sense of belonging to hoodwink gullible traitors to its camp. It is long over due that it be made a constitutional matter that any one elected on one platform should not decamp with the mandate, but relinquish all positions, powers and privileges from his former camp. |
What about crack looters? Crack fraudsters, nko? |
Projects with spelt-out criteria should not be sited for mere reason of maginalisation but in compliance of criteria set-out by the power from above. If the senators felt maginalised, they should create conditions that meet the criteria in their constituencies. I personnaly concur with the action of the Gov for taking action in compliance with the criteria set by the higher authority. |

That money can not even buy a torchlight because a torchlight costs N70k, according to our oga Bank OLE. In fact, a civil servant will continue to visit the nearest bush to poo because he can never in his life time build a toilet worth N10m, according to our oga Minister Abba Ruma. |
General Ibrahim B. Babangida (rtd) is the only aspirant that can solve the problems of this country whether economic, political, social or tribal.Just like he did between 1985 and 1993. No be so? ![]() |
You were the one advocating anarchy to correct perceived societal ills. How do you compare what our politicians are doing with your highlighted statement above? |
i see. . .the state of things in abia is society checking itself, not so ?. Why are you mentioning Abia State only? Are you a stranger in Nigeria? So should we all arm ourselves and run into the streets slaughtering the first person in sight? Are the kidnappers going after the first person in sight?. |
Frankly speaking, in my present mood of bottled anger and bitterness against the maladministration of our leaders, I don't know whether to praise or condemn these kidnappers. All I can say is that when leadership fails, the society checks itself by other means, either formally or informally. |

My friend, OP, Jonathan may not have much to offer, according to you, but he is sure far far preferable to your daddy IBB. For the short period Jonathan has been on the scene, petroleum products are available, no more scarcity and long queues. Power supply too is a bit stable and I'm sure it will be better in the nearest future. The seriousness and zeal of Uncle Jonathan on electoral reform is a sure sign of a better leader than IBB. Within his short stay, international recognition and admiration for Nigeria have grown in leaps and bounds. El-Rufai and Nuhu Ribadu who went on self-exile are back to the country and having a sense of belonging which was hitherto denied them. These are just a few. That man IBB has no shame. After milking this country dry for 8 years, he is still seeking a come back. Does he think Nigeria is his property? Now, tell me OP, somebody who ruled for 8 years as a military leader who would have used military autocracy to put things in order, if he was the messiah, plundered Nigerian resources with reckless abandon and still has the guts to eye the presidency, and you are supporting his come back? Are you on his payroll? It is on record that corruption reached its zenith during his reign, with him as the looting generalssimo. I am sure he is feelng lonely and uncomfortable in his 50 bedroom mansion and looking for people to keep him company. His recklesness has just dawn on him that life is not about what one acquires (illegally for that matter) but goodwill of those whose lives you touched positively. It is a bitter lesson our leaders learn, unfortunately they learn this when it is too late to rewind the arm of the clock. OP, tell your master IBB that the people of Nigeria do not want to see him near ASO ROCK again. He has already squandered the opportunity Allah gave him to serve his people. Tell him to invite rats, cockroaches and lizards to keep him company in his 50 bedroom mansion. Nonsense! |
Lawlessness of the mighty has given birth to a commensurate lawlessness of the low. If we must restore peace and sanity in this country, our leaders must be made to face the law if found culpable. In a land where most citizens live below poverty line, one of our leaders said he built TOILETS (place wey person de piss and poo ) with N10m each and nothing happens to him. Another one bought cars, torchlights and TV at hyper-inflated prices and he is shielded from the law, in fact, he used his position and the law at his disposal to shut out those who cried foul at his corruption and everybody is watching. What about the corruption in NFF which led to the woefull performance of the Super Eagles in SA 2010 WC? Thinking about the way the mighty squander resources in a land of abject poverty, where the minimum wage of a civil servant is less than N15,00 a month combined with mass unemployment of youths, could and is already triggering rebellion in the suffering masses. In addition, our lawyers and judges are not helping matter. The looters have penetrated and bought over the judiciary thereby making figting corruption an uphill task. Judiciary is making the EFCC a toothless bulldog. Our lawyers must act professionally to term the tide of corruption in this country. Our so-call leaders must wake up and put on the mantle of leadership and not lootership. The patience of the masses is running out. What is happening now is a tip of the ice-berg. We need leaders , not looters. |
