i bought a ps3 slim few months back for 61,500 at the computer village ikeja.so i guess you should be able to get one at that price if you can negotiate well.the price may even have come down lower.so my take is btw 60k-65k.

Thanks.what i mean by stereotypes is that almost everyone advises against buying a BMW for the same reasons being - it guzzles too much fuel and it is very expensive to maintain.What i ask them which no one has been able to answer satisfactorily is: of course i am willing to accept that compared to toyota and honda ,the maintenancve and fuel consumption may be higher ,but just how higher is it.For instance ,staying at ilupeju and working on lagos island without much movt. during weekends ,how much am i likely to spend on fuel?And i just did some improvements on the car i bought,seems not to be too prohibitive.So ,i think someone who has used the same car for some time could give me some forewarning.Thanks for your advice anyway.

I feel members of the learned profession need to have a forum where they can share knowledge of the practice of law.I was stranded recently when i had to prepare a process and i couldnt find any precedent anywhere.Such a forum will help in getting quick tips and advice on law as it is practised in Nigeria.It will also greatly enlighten the public.So ,i expect that experienced and young lawyers will sign up

even if its the chapter or subsidiary of a foreign company or association ,it still has to be registered in nigeria to be recognjised under nigerian law. SECTION 56 CAMA.So the process is still the same,register the trustees of the body in nigeria.

@poster,most professional bodies are established by statute i.e the national assembly e.g ICAN.This means you will have to apply for a charter from the national assembly.but before you can get this ,you would need to show them you have been existing as an association and what you have achieved so far.So ,the first step is for you to register ur association with the CAC under part C (incorporated trustees) and much later when you have gained ground ,apply for the charter.

i had the same problems initially.Apart from checking to see if u re typing the letter o instead of zero.In my own case ,i was not entering the username correctly.note that it actually starts wit the word FIRS.

I am a lawyer and i think i have your answers.To effect the changes you have indicated ,since the company is already incorporated ,you will have to obtain certified true copies of the documents from cac and file new ones to wit :forms for change of registered address of the company ,alterations in the share structure and directors of the company ,e.t.c.The new data would have to be assessed and stamp duties paid.One would then obtain certified true copies of the newly filed forms for reference purposes and evidence of the changes made.

it is obvious that the posts on this topic are tainted with religious bigotry and prejudice which has blinded majority of us to the real issue at hand here which ,i believe is the humanitarian disaster isreal's actions in gaza is capable of creating.most of the posts are classic fallacies ;like justifying the slaughter of innocent civilians in gaza because christians were killed in jos nigeria.
i do not subscribe to the view that the geneva conventions do not apply to the conflict simply because hamas is not a signatory.Quite to the contrary ,the conventions and the additional protocols thereto apply to a conflict whenever a high contracting party (i.e a signatory )is involved(COMMON ARTICLE 1).Isreal is a signatory to the instruments and this is a ground for making the conventions applicable to it.

The point i believe should be addressed is whether isreal has complied substantially with the rules of war.Of course ,the self defence of isreal is non negotiable as its allies would claim.But what about the rule of [b]PROPORTIONALITY?[/b]Is the murder (or manslaughter ) of over 500 largely civilan gazans the appropriate response to the handful of civilians killed by hamas rockets?

I have no doubt in my mind that hamas has not behaved in a civil way towards isreal;but then ,as non state actors on the international scene ,not much can be expected from them.Isreal ,on the other hand ,can ,and probably will be found guilty and punished for its war crimes in Gaza.We should always beart in mind that Hamas and isreali leaders are all politicians ,always willing to use the ordinary people as cannon fodder.The ordinary people's welfare ,whether on isreal or palestinian side should be our concern
