The Alliance on Surviving Covid-19 and Beyond (ASCAB), chaired by human rights activist and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Femi Falana has demanded justice for a female student of the Shehu Shagari College of Education in‪ Sokoto State, Deborah Yakubu after she was killed for allegedly insulting Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

According to report so far Deborah was violently stoned to death and later set ablaze by the angry mob, who are mostly students of the college.

Father Allegedly Impregnates His 14-Year-Old Daughter In Bayelsa.

The Bayelsa State Police Command has arrested a 38-year-old father, Baridap Needman for allegedly impregnating his 14-year-old biological daughter in Yenagoa.

The suspect, who hails from Ogani Wily Kaira Community in Ogoni in Rivers State, was arrested following a formal complaint from the State Gender Advocacy group, Gender Response Initiative Team (GRIT) led by Dise Ogbise Esq.

According to Ogbise and Mrs Mary Accrah Pekeowei, the GRIT was tipped off by a concerned neighbour who noticed that the victim was five months pregnant and that the father was responsible for the pregnancy.

It was gathered that the arrested father had been violating his daughter since the age of 7, by fingering the girl, but things got worse when the victim’s mother died a few years ago.

According to Nigerian Tribune, the accused father went on to replace his deceased wife with his daughter on his matrimonial bed.

It was gathered that while the 14-year-old girl who was in Junior Secondary School 3, was sleeping with the father on the bed, her two younger brothers were made to sleep on the floor.

Woman Arrested After Offering $500K To Buy Another Woman's Baby In Walmart Checkout Line.

A woman has been arrested after offering a mother hundreds of thousands of dollars to buy one of her children.

According to a Houston website, Click2Houston, Rebecca Taylor, 49, approached a mother at a Walmart checkout line in Crockett, about 120 miles north of Houston in the second week of January, and started remarking about the woman’s two children who were in a shopping cart.

According to the report, Taylor allegedly offered the woman cash for her infant son and the woman refused. Taylor reportedly started yelling and increased her offer to $500,000 before saying she would abduct the child.

The mother of the kids got away from Taylor and contacted police. Taylor was charged with sale or purchase of a child, a third-degree felony, and was released on $50,000 bond on Thursday, January 20.

Tiwa Savage's Leaked Tape Featured in a Recent Federal University Exam Question Paper (Photo).

The leaked tape saga of Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage has again become a social media conversation after a federal university had it featured in its examination.

The singer's infamous moment was the number two question in a first-semester examination of the department of English and literary studies, Federal University of Lafia, Nasarawa.

A copy of the question was shared by @instablog9ja on Instagram. Question two of the exam goes thus:

The said question involving the singer was allotted 20 marks by the examiner.

I Can Never Return To Your Party - Obasanjo Tells PDP Leaders.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Saturday January 22, told leaders of Peoples Democratic Party that he can never return to the opposition party where he was elected as Nigeria's President for two terms.

Obasanjo renounced his membership of the party, when he fell out with ex-President Goodluck Jonathan in the buildup to the 2015 election.


Addressing the National Chairman of the PDP, Iyorchia Ayu and other stakeholders who visited him in Abeokuta, Ogun State, on Saturday, the former President said he had no intention to return to partisan politics or the PDP.


Those on the team include PDP Vice Presidential candidate in 2019 election, Peter Obi, former Governors, Sule Lamido (Jigawa), Olusegun Mimiko (Ondo), Liyel Imoke (Cross River) and Donald Duke (Cross River).

Obasanjo who addressed the larger gathering of PDP stakeholders after a closed door meeting, admitted that having governed Nigeria twice on the PDP platform, the party would continue to be part of his history.

Buhari Asks Police, Justice Ministry To Uphold Integrity In Hanifa Abubakar's Case.

President Muhammadu Buhari has called on all the relevant bodies to ensure that justice is served in killing of five year old, Hanifa Abubakar, a school girl that is killed in Kano state.

The president specially order the police and the ministry of justice to uphold the integrity of the detective work that busted the case by preparing well and presenting a good case that will earn the respect of the court.

It can be recalled that few hours ago, Nollywood Actress, Chizoba Nwokoye, took to her official Instagram account to announce and declare her personal assistant wanted after he allegedly hijacked her YouTube channel, siphoned all the money in her bank account, and also made away with her car.

The unfortunate news have generated many reactions from both Nollywood Actors, Actresses and Nigerians on social media, especially Instagram.
