Op, I can relate. A lot of people are depressed in Nigeria and it is only going to get worse.

More sad is the fact that we don’t have support groups or psychotherapists to help with depression or manic depression. I have a job but I am still pretty depressed so it’s a new normal in Nigeria. And the funny thing is I am tired of using alcohol and sex to ease my own depression. But I have never thought of suicide though. I plan to start praying too like one of the posters said. Op, don’t kill yourself ooo abeg. We are all in this together.

A man's productive life goes all the way down to 70 so at 34 you have probably used 49 percent of yours. You actually need to sit down and think about what you want to really do with the remaining 51 percent. Starting a career now is a bit late but since you live with your parents have you thought about starting a business? What are your interests and skills and where do you see yourself in 5 years?
