I still have gas remaining. Had to refill twice because there was no pressure in the morning. But total na still 10,700.

If fuel come back down to 700,then I'll reconsider cng, till then, it's the only way I see to survive this shi Exactly…. I been no reason CNG as fuel na 739 but at 1,330, omooo!!! Difference is insane. |

Azertise: I haven't posted my dash breakdown and lessons so far like I mentioned in my past post, because I took a break so I just dey follow from the background, dey enjoy bants, talks, and even the occasional soft life teaching from Oga Kums . But the things I have been reading lately. Especially this CNG matter, abeg. Go and convert in peace na. for almost 3 weeks now, e remain make person dey see CNG stations for dream.
If you go to a CNG Station and you meat happy CNG users, follow them. But remember the ones that got bitten would not be there. That's how Survivor Bias works. Just like in world war, planes riddled with bullets that got back to the base were about to be reinforced where they were hit, but that's when someone argued that its the places where there were no bullet holes that should be reinforced. Because the ones getting hit there are not coming back. The people that have suffered the worst of CNG are silent, bitter and probably retired.
So if Installers are better now, install in peace make we hear word. The problem many of you have is not knowing how to weigh risk against benefit. Imagine saving 20k of fuel daily, that’s 120k weekly saving on a 6 days work. How much is the entire car sef that only engine issue will discourage you. I am currently installing a 90L right now and by tomorrow, my massive savings on fuel will begin. With 90L, everyday work guarantees 40 to 50k profit. So I ask again, how much is engine again?? Even better when you know that majority of new installers have no single issue. I don’t care about the worst case scenario if I make minimum of 40k daily. There’s no emotion in business. Ask yourself, will I risk 1 million naira on a business that guarantees 20k daily? Many people will fly into the business even if it’s way riskier. |

Jegheter: It's not about Uber being better sha. It's just his way of working. I have worked like this severally in d past. Indrive is the best if you know how to use it to your benefit like d instance u stated. But iz patience Uber is consistent with their pricing and don’t really understand the Nigerian market. Indrive understands it better and when low lives a little busy in traffic, watch Indrive prices. Uber likes keeping a large chunk of money they charge passenger unlike Indrive. In another news, what exactly is happening with the numerous lane closures in the island. First Akpogbon bridge, second, costal road and then lekki epe express. I spent 4 hours from ogombo to Surulere. Map was directing me through idumota market so it will leave me stranded there. |

Jegheter: Guys I never knew this lagride jeeps had 1.5L engines .
Just met a guy using it and he even converted to cng. So his enjoying ooo. Said his had no issues with cng. 1 year plus using it
Guy isn't even concerned about fuel. Minus cng sef 1.5L is perfect for d job. His also lucky his calculation for d car is 9m under d old order so he will soon finish paying.
So while some are complaining some are smiling and happy with d job. The right tools is needed I went to CNG refill stations at Jakande first gate and at Agege to observe how fast they dispense. It took 30 seconds to refill Keke cylinder and it cost 2,300. I inquired from the keke guys that has it and they said that I shouldn’t waste time to convert as CNG is readily available there. Though they start selling by 8 AM and close 7pm in all stations. |

Eazilyfe: Boss, i treat it like going to work daily
If you stay on the mainland like me, In the morning around 5am-6am depends on when you decide to go out but i advice you start early. Set your destination trips to VI or Lekki Phase 1 with Bolt comfort because you have 5 destination trips daily. You can also target island trips on Indrive too but na mostly N270/km you go see if you dont mind but i dont take it sha.
When you get to Ikoyi, Lekki or after Phase 1 target Lekki phase 2. Just dey shuttle btw phase 1-2 and Ajah. By 3-4pm set destination back to Mainland. Offices go don close for VI
Dont get trapped or carried away with trips after phase 2, because if 5pm-6pm nack meet u for that side e go hard to see destination trips back to mainland except u use Indrive to get out.
See how many trips i quickly completed in less than an hour.
So basically you learn Traffic flows with Uber apps for example, in the morning people are navigating towards VI, IKOYI, LEKKI. In the evening people are navigating towards IKEJA, IYANA IPAJA, OSHODI, ILUPEJU etc
Thats just what i studied so far and some other things i'm still learning from looking at the uber map radar
On Uber you will on AC for riders if dem ask sha o, else dem go spoil your account with reports. Na lekki people dem too like comfort. Person dey go next street carry Uber something wey we dey trek for mainland, infact i don carry person cross road before seems like 1km trip dat day i jst dey laff dey look the babe for rear view mirror This doesn’t make uber better than indrive. Some of us here go on this short trips for 1k minimum per km. I can’t start my car for a 3k trip if it’s not above 1k per KM. If passenger can’t enter keke and prefers comfort, then they should be willing to pay for it. Only indrive can give you abnormal profit on short trips. I have carried one woman for 1.2km for 3k. And I even accepted because she was 300m away. |

popizaino: Liam Rosenior's problem started when he started copying Maresca by using Reece James in the midfield and forming Pep guardiola without a treble with a ball playing goalkeeper idea.
For how good Trent Axlendar-Anorld was on the ball,a better tactician in Jurgen Klopp never asked him to play from midfield instead hurt the opponent with his ball from behind.
Once a manager start doing abnormal things, the lest you can expect is an abnormal results. Rosenoir is only as good as the players he has. Chelsea get only few good players. Rest na scrap. |

They will even pick your calls, say rubbish and waste your time. Third time I was there, I decided to park somewhere and walk to the street because is not motorable. Is a terrible location and looks dead end. Saw some guys gathered, not sure who and who. I just want to urge drivers to becareful around that axis. Is not normal to keep doing fake orders, same location everytime if they don't have ulterior motives. Ire o No be fake orders o Indrive mistakes that location as somewhere in Ajah. I spoke to a girl from there who confirmed she’s in Ajah. |

Jegheter: For me 350km-400km for a civic with 1.8L is average. Add 3500 to this amount and less 30k fuel. Is this in anyway sustainable?
|
Business › Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Jamie90(m): 11:06am On Mar 19 |
Jegheter: Off course asset depreciation is calculated separate from maintenance budget. I'm just saying that via calculations. 1.8L fueling with 10k would give u 40k. I'm assuming all thing being equal and car is in top shape. Catalyst converter installed etc. even without the catalyst or car not optimally performing let's say 30k. But now with the increment same 1.8L would give you 30k. and 20k respectively for the car not optimally performing.
Yes I see your point tho when it comes to maintenance budget. The depression is yearly calculation but the maintenance budget would eat into it all
So it means it favours 3 cylinder 1.6L cars cng or electric How many km do you suppose a civic will cover with 8 litres driving around Lagos with AC and what is the average price of each km on indrive. Not waiting for any juicy trip. |
Business › Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Jamie90(m): 10:21am On Mar 19 |
Jegheter: As in.
But let's be honest sha. This bizness even as it is presently is very profitable for 3 cylinder cars and 4 cylinder cars not beyond 1.8L. or electric or cng cars
It just affected the profit margin doesn't mean there isn't still profit.
You also can't blame the app companies cause dey won't take d drivers serious.
Noone is a fool. The people working know they are making profit and actually dey r Then you must mean that my civic is a fuel guzzler because this business is no longer very profitable. In fact, I don’t consider making what invested as fuel as profit profitable. Less 20% depreciation from every daily profit and recalculate. Note: Assest depreciation is different from maintenance budget. |
Business › Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Jamie90(m): 6:22am On Mar 19 |
Just seeing that the strike achieved nothing. Indrive are still dishing out poor prices while desperate drivers and scrambling.
I think I have to believe what some old timers said about how the business went downhill since indrive came on board. They deemphasized on quality of cars and marketed themselves to customers with cheap prices. |

jideflash: Some drivers have financial emergency like medical bills and others. But you are sabotaging their effort because of your own selfish reasons. If you don't like, shut your app, let others survive. So you can enjoy the surge well meaning drivers created.
