motivationspika: This one will say his contact told him this. The other will say the secretary of her commission told her that. But the commission has not said anything. I bet you monday will come and no appointment letter will be presented, not even next week. Don't worry, we will get appointment letters soon by God's grace. Probably no information should be shared anymore. |

Benteke9: it seems true o, one thing for sure is that the director started signing some southern state letters that were ready last week, may be he is thru with them now. although some northern state are still typing or even documenting e.g jigawa kano, borno yobe, kwara kogi etc Yes, I also learnt south southern states were a little faster than the others, their directors were signing when north central were still typing. What I can't confirm is if distribution has started or when it would start. We hope soon. |
Islam › Re: Fairness At Work, What Says Islam? by Jamila12345: 11:39am On Aug 11, 2017 |
Lukgaf: ISLAM: FAIRNESS AT WORK
Employment is a binding contract which means that the employee must be given the wages and the employer must be given the work. If the employer cancels the contract before the period ends and does not demand the work, the contract is not annulled and he must pay the wages. Al-Sharh al-Kabeer (14/436), Al-Muqni.
Allah says (what means): “O you who have believed, fulfil (all) contracts”. (Q5:1), also He says: “O you who believe, Stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to Allah, as against yourselves, or your parents, or your kin; and whether it be against rich or poor: For Allah can best protect both. Follow not the lusts (of your hearts), lest you swerve, and if you distort justice or decline to do justice, verily Allah is well acquainted with all that you do.” (4:135). Irrespective of creed, class or colour, Islam demands that people treat each other justly, truthfully and with dignity, honour and respect.
Employee is expected:
-To satisfy the conditions between him and the employer in what is not prohibited under Shari‘ah.
-To continue the work in person.
-Not to avoid working. For he who avoid working does not deserve to get paid.
-Not to leave work during working hours or use working hours for personal assignments except with permission.
-To be responsible for taking care of the properties and equipment which belong to the employer. And damage as a result of mistake or beyond employee’s control should be pardoned.
-To do his work in the best way possible.
-Not to harm employer.
-Not to overburden himself/herself (by the night or weekends) when he/she supposed to rest and prepare for the next working day. This apply to salary earners not those on wage. Salary earners are been paid fixed amount monthly/annually regardless of number of hour worked, and nights and weekends are part of the month/year paid for.
-You can add more of what will promote employer-employee good relationship....
Remember, Muslims are encouraged to treat everyone including your employer (Public or Private) with justice and fairness. Prophet (May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “None of you has faith unless you love for your brother what you love for yourself” - Bukhari and Muslim. And he said: “Whoever cheats us is not one of us” – Muslim May Allah bless for the constant reminder, amin |

Ridwan66: Dear fellows,
Actually, I've been on this thread for long and I must commend everyone here for their active contributions and reliable information's concerning the FCSC recruitment till where we are now (expectation of APL).
I have come to inform us that the delay in the issuance of APLs is about to come to an end. This is because the promotional exercise for staffs between level 14-16 has been concluded and the list of Perm Sec (21 of them) has been released.
Finally, for those who were very observant the day we went for documentation would see that the typing of APLs started immediately.
Let us be calm as APLs will be dished out very soon... Yes Ridwan, Osibanjo has approved the 21 perm secs. By God's grace, before the end of this month. Fingers crossed. |

Good afternoon All,
I just called our Secretary, I asked her when the APL would be ready. Her response
"My dear, we are still typing the letters after that signing, you have to be very patient, you hear, it is stage by stage"
I think because they are elderly, they can't be as fast as our generation when typing or working. Good luck to all.
Regards, |

Benteke9: There was no lack of fund for interview, it is now printing of letter there is lack of fund!!! To print letters doesn't cost anything! we have done the major money gulping exercise.
The main reason for delay is some of the northern states who are still doing documentation I.e jigawa, kano , borno etc. Some state secretary have already started typing their apl letters. also note the director of recruitment will have to sign over 2000 letters. remember the letters have to be issued uniformly, dat means we have to wait for these northern states to be ready too I think I would align with You because the secretary of my commission called me for my address last week. I omitted it when filling the form during documentation. |

Erenje24: Lol, any body dat have reached this stage is just sopos to be thinking of where to stay in Abj, what to eat in Abj and trans... dats all You can think of all those after you collect the APL fa . Maybe the delay is as a result of the typing letter. We hope APL collection and posting would be done this month, I pray everything concluded this month by God's grace. |

motivationspika: When will the FCSC learn to round off recruitment processes in time like the Military? This is exactly 10 months this whole recruitment stuff has been on. I make bold to say any recruitment in Nigeria can be concluded within 3 months, however stressful the processes may be. One of my friends called his Commissioner to know when appointment letters will be out. He was told 'i don't know'. Granted, not all that were interviewed will get the offer as deduced. But for crying out loud, give to those you have shortlisted either through the 'front door' or 'back door' and let sleeping dog lie. I have come to the realisation that one of the reasons for the delay in the conclusion of the whole exercise is not far from the fact that 'cutting of corners increase with each passing day' by those who supposedly preach transparency in the Civil Service, to the extent that even the Chairman of the whole commission will tell you he doesn't know what is happenning right now. As far as this country is concerned, we of this generation still have hope- I don't know of our children's children. Infact, it's disheartening. I hope the round off this month and everybody collects letter and be posted by mid August. A lot of people's plan is dependent on this letter. |

noelle1: According to my contact at FCSC, sms /documentation have NOT been sent to all successful applicants. The entire process is being delayed due to the ongoing Promotion exercise being conducted by some senior staff at PSIN Kubwa -same people incharge of issuance of APLs. The exercise will soon be concluded (this month) and the recruitment process will recommence. So keep faith people, until APLs are issued and all vacancy slot filled , its not over yet. This Government lacks planning. They don't seem to be conscious of time. Like the new entries don't have work waiting for them. One should be looking at August |

Iro1989: Guys i am just curious, does anyone knows how much is the salary package of FCSC? I don't think FCSC has any salary package. It depends on the ministry. For example ministry of Justice pay will be different from Ministry of Labour. As a result of some hidden allowances too. I might be wrong though. |

yamiyami: I don`t want to believe that swapping will be possible. Since the applicant applied for the roles themselves and were shortlisted and interviewed based on their CVs, how will they now swap at the final stage of the process. If swapping will happen, it will have been done before the stage. I know of a lady that was moved from level 12 to 10 when the list came out Swapping is possible.... My ministry was swapped but my level was same |
