FamilyRe: How UK-Based Nigerian Women Exploit Law To Chase Out Husbands by Jandexpat: 2:33pm On Mar 22, 2025
I know of one foolish Nigerian woman. Daughter of an ex NYSC director living in the UK. She brought her sister with two kids to come and stay in her husband house for over 5 months.

When the husband gave the sister two weeks notice to leave the house as he is the one supporting his wife and two kids and then the sister and two kids. She went to lie to the police that he was physically abusing her.

That was how the police told him to leave the house oh. The stupid idiot thought she will win the house and car and the husband will continue to pay mortgage.

After a good 5 years in court battle, She got nothing, right now she is living in rented accommodation and trying to use her kids as pawns. She will hardly let them call him and she starves her children so that when the husband gets to have them e go dey pain am.
PoliticsRe: 2023 Presidential Aspirant, Kingsley Moghalu Defects To ADC by Jandexpat: 7:39am On Oct 09, 2021
The title is very misleading, he did not defect.

He left YPP after the elections for this reasons:
1. The party did not have a grassroot base and the members of the party were not passionate enough to grow their base.
2. The board of the party sold out to highest bidder towards the election for flag bearers in different categories.
3. They did not believe in Prof's vision.

Now 2 years later, after critically evaluating the lessons learnt from his last outing.
He knew:
I. If he joined PDP, the money bags within will win the primaries
2. If he join APC like Osibanjo and Tinubu, his vision for Nigeria will be killed even if he wins as the cabal will control him.
3. He needed a party with an established grassroot base and key allies what we call expired moneybags who want to break the cabal though Prof's vision might eat into their future profit but they can both achieve their goals.

So instead of us to deriding him, if we all join the party enmasse, we can become the 3rd force because the diff btw ADC and the other 2 parties is numbers, me you and your village people.

Let's do this.

FamilyRe: I Need Ideas On How To Reconcile With My Wife. by Jandexpat: 12:44am On Apr 10, 2018
doreto:
We are presently separated for 4 months with no contact/communication.The separation was not related to trust issues, but miscommunication, insults and the likes,no violence.

While I am in a great place emotionally,I want to attempt to reconcile our relationship.

I need ideas. Is it possible? If it is,has any one here seen a case of reconciliation after a deep marital separation? Please share with me.

Thanks.
I know of reconciliation after 4 years. Yes it can be done.

Message her that you need to talk. Do not talk about past problem. Talk about good times and what you think your future would be like.

Do dates first then go into counselling to talk about issues so you can both be objective without reliving those emotions.

Hopefully it will grow from there.
PoliticsCan I Stand As An Independent Candidate For Election In Nigeria? by Jandexpat(op): 12:08pm On May 02, 2017
I know the bill to allow Independent candidates in Nigeria passed the second reading in December 2016. Has the bill been passed into law? If not, how do we ensure it does.
For those who don't know what Independent candidacy means, it means that a person can be a candidate without having any affiliation with, or being sponsored by a political party. This will likely deal with the problem of Godfatherism and enable a candidate think rationally without considering party affiliations and politics.
