Comparing just the absolute numbers in terms of earnings / salary between two countries is pointless unless all other aspects are taken into account as well.
Here is a comparison on earnings / expenses between Canada and Nigeria:

and here is salary for farmer in Nigeria:

Salary might really be 10x times the value, but how high are the other expenses?

To find out what your body mass index (BMI) is, you will need to calculate it. Or, you can visit a doctor / a professional that will determine your bmi in more exact way.
Other options are using a BMI calculator for men and women in combination with weight loss calculator (if you're pursuing weight loss). This way you can get a mere approximation of what your body mass is. However such online tools are not 100% as they are only mathematical formula, which is valid for majority of people (excluding obese people and lifetime athletes).
My issue is that BMI charts "suggest" ideal weights...My doctor and my kids doctors have them posted. My BMI is 30, which is preposterous. It's not just a "little off" its way off. I weigh 205 and I'm 5 foot 9. I'm quite fit, but not at all muscle bound. I have a 34 inch waist at 49, which is the same as it has been for 30 years. BMI suggest I weigh 157 pounds. Maybe I could drop 10 pounds, then I would still be nearly 40 pounds "overweight". I hang with dozens of guys with my similar build and fitness level who would all be "measured" obese or nearly obese. If this is "the measure" suggesting we, kids especially, are obese, then maybe we aren't. My son "hits" his target weight exactly for a 5 foot 7 guy...and he's a premiere college cross country runner, and thin as a rail, though fit. I think we should be more fit generally, but we have to abolish this measure or credibility is gone. I know several people who have no muscle tone at all, but meet their BMI target. I know almost no people who are fit and meet theirs.....my distance runner son being the exception. Can the "targets" be changed based on what people who are actually fit weigh? Go check the first 10 5 foot 9 guys you find, or bring in 10 fit people, who aren't muscle bound and see what they weigh and adjust the scale.
BMI (and all the other variables they measure) are 'associated with' certain health risks to some degree. But that is not the same thing as causation. The statisticians say that one variable can 'predict' the value of another, but that does not mean that increased BMI causes increased blood pressure, any more than the fact that depressed people send more email means that if you send more email, you will become depressed.
We need some research that is not funded or influenced by drug companies to address the problem of increasing BMI in the US. We need some real answers that work. Imagine if you could go to the doc and he could adjust your metabolism up to normal, or could lower your blood pressure by correcting a defect?
I find that BMI is a great motivator for some of us seeking a so-called ideal body weight. Granted it's only one measurement among others that are more or less important such as cholesterol profile. They all have their supporters or detractors.

As I have changed my own eating and exercise habits to reach this range, dropping 30 pounds in the process, I find that I have more energy and confidence as I walk around with a more svelte body. I make up all kinds of excuses as to why the BMI scale should be adjusted for increasing age, but the reality of it is, it keeps me on track. I finally got back to my college weight for the first time in years.

Frankly, I gasp when I see the number of obese people in the USA. Like smoking, I can see the days ahead when BMI is used as an important measurement for adjusting the costs of health insurance. Very simply, those with a lower BMI would have their costs decreased as a reward for living a more healthy lifestyle.

It may be cheaper in the long run to offer people $2000 or more a year to live within a certain weight range as measured by BMI. In fact, this has been tried by various companies and found that it took at least a $2000 incentive to change people's lifestyle and diet. Something to ponder for the near future!

I have always found the explanation of elevated systolic versus elevated diastolic blood pressure somewhat dissatisfying. For example, we know that during exercise it is normal for the systolic pressure to increase considerably while the increase in diastolic is much more modest. Obviously the two pressures are measuring two different things. Why then should we not consider that an abnormal independent increase in one or the other represents two different kinds of disease which require two different types of treatment? If you're in doubt how high the blood pressure should be during activity, input your numbers in blood pressure calculator to check whether you're in good shape or not. If not, some actions are due.
I'm sorry to say that I think the "blood pressure" issue (high blood pressure -- HBP) is such a "cash cow" to the medical profession, that you are never really going to get a full and fair assessment of the true risks, therein.

Granted, there are true risks on HBP. But I think these are often distorted for "economic reasons" benefiting the health care industry.
Health / Re: The Nigerian Diabetic Diet. by jannzy82: 3:37pm On Jul 21, 2015
How should a diabetic diet look like?

Patients with diabetes are advised not to consume sugar, sugary foods and drinks, white flour and high-fat foods. Each meal should contain vegetables or fruits.

A proper and healthy diet will have a positive impact on:
blood sugar levels and reducing its rise after a meal,
blood pressure (avoiding salt and salty foods will lower your blood pressure),
cholesterol – lower fat levels (cholesterol and triglycerides) in the blood. You can additionally lower your cholesterol levels by following a proper diet,
your BMI (BMI – body mass index. Calculate your own BMI using a BMI calculator). Healthy diet will regulate your body weight. Obese and overweight people are at much higher risk of developing diabetes (type 2) compared to those with a healthy body weight.

If your blood sugar levels are increased for a longer period of time and no action is taken to lower blood sugar levels you may suffer permanent damage. This includes:
Eye damage: retinopathy – eye defects which may lead to formation of cataracts and blindness.
Kidney damage: nephropathy – renal failure over time.
Damage to nervous system: polyneuropathy – tingling, pain, loss of sense of touch and leg pain. Also possible outcomes are impotence and digestion problems.
Damage to cardiovascular system: accelerated atherosclerosis – angina pectoris, heart and brain stroke, vascular occlusions.
Problems with feet: formation of wounds that do not heal and lead to amputation of toes, feet, or whole limb.
Immune system disorders: urinary tract infections, fungal infections, lowered immunity.
