I don't give myself enough credit. Most people are wired this way. We work, hustle and grind, but it never always seems to be enough. There is always something new to do, a new concept, a fresh idea, a new opportunity to chase. At what point or level does the feeling of accomplishment actually set in? Anything I 'accomplish' always becomes somewhat stale to me after a period.

I spoke to a lady yesterday. She asked my age, I told her 27. She went on to ask how I'd accomplished what to her, seemed like so much at 27. Truth is, I never really see it, the accomplishments. Perhaps to sit down and take stock. I'm here wondering if those we consider accomplished actually ever take stock of said accomplishments? I consider the likes of Tony Elumelu accomplished on the fronts of business leadership in the world, but does he ever take stock? Like sit down to count how many awards or recognition he gets or how much he's accomplished? I guess I'd never know.

This is good and bad.
Being oblivious of one's successes and accomplishments has a way of perpetually driving one to strive for more. Because no success or achievement is ever enough. You just keep going, the more you get, the more you don't know that you've gotten and the more you want to get. You're a fanatic, addicted to getting.
But the downside? You don't give yourself enough credit. You might also not show gratitude to God or whatever higher power you believe in. You might also appear ungrateful to those around you, family and friends that are catalytic to your getting.

What to do? Find a balance. I'm just learning this. It's not easy, especially since I have a natural predisposition to getting. But I'd teach myself to once in a while, pause, take stock, give thanks, and continue getting.
