bidex111:

And what about I ternational arms trade law: irrespective of who owns the dollar. Remember the Leah's stopped us from getting the Tucano jets during Obama regime and see what happened during Trumps regime.. Today they might be your friend tomorrow they are not. jpphilips: You think you are speaking the truth? you are selling confusion premeditated by narratives sold to you by your likes, I've seen more Hausa herdsmen than Fulani, infact Berom cattle is more popular in some areas than the fulani cattle, now tell us, where does the Hausa, Kanuri, Igala herdsmen fit in this "Fulani herdsmen" narrative?
The problem we know is a climate change issue affecting every herdsman including PMB, so I wonder why only the fulas are fighting for survival of their cattle while others are not? Everywhere in west Africa they are called "herdsmen" apparently because of their ties with cattle, only in Nigeria and very few places do we hear "Fulani herdsmen", does their tribe really make a difference in the drought crisis they are facing? Don't you think that the reason you haven't solved this problem is because of the sentiments you robbed all over it?
You are Igbo, Evans was an "Igbo kidnapper" in Lagos a yoruba town, I have never heard any igbo man refer to Evans as an "igbo Kidnapper", how "fulani herdsmen" makes sense to you is what i can't phantom. Does that make Evans less of a kidnapper? We know Boko haram ranks are swollen with Kanuri boys, i have never heard "Kanuri boko haram" why is "fulani herdsmen" so important in our lexicon? does that make sense?
we know there is serious drought in the lower sahel so herdsmen comprising of fulani, Gao, Hausa, Kanuri, igala etc are moving down south for pasture, Most Ansaru & FLN sahel fighters are Fulas, we know the herdsmen, Hausa, igala, fulani contract them to escort their cattle through farming routes because we know the farmers are waiting with loaded guns and machete to stop their animals from grazing on their farms, you can see both sides are fighting for survival.
The contracted Sahel terrorists are those causing the mayhem, they are far from being herdsmen, I have never seen their pics here or elsewhere with cattles, the very few times they were found with cattles, the cattles were reported stolen. You can't be herding 100 cows, then abandon it to sack a village, does that even make sense? the only reason you conviniently rubbed them with the same brush is because most of them are fulanis, that's all.
Now, the last Ecowas protocol on this conflict recommended all west African states to provide grazing fields/reserves/ranch/colonies whichever nomenclature suits you better for the herdsmen, this recommendation was born out of the fact that Ecowas views "Drought" as a natural disaster as such the herdsmen dont deserve to be stranded, i share that sentiment too. I believe both the farmers & herders deserve to be saved if not for anything for their economic importance as sources of food, the food crisis experienced in Nigeria today is a direct consequence of this rascality.
Our Agriculture minister came home and told us the same thing partly working in Ghana, Ivory Coast, Mali & Senegal, people like you rejected that proposal, some of you were so callous to ask the herdsmen to buy the lands, meanwhile, down south when flooding occurs (a natural disaster), government provide billions in funds for compensation and relocation, in this case, the herdsmen were left OYO, the consequence of that inhumanity is a bigger inhumanity called "murder" The same people that discouraged their state governors from providing that land, rejected FG proposal for peace are the same running to the FG for protection , an over stretched FG fighting 4 intl terror groups and a dozen local militia? sense is truly not common in this part of the world.
Nigerians have no clue how or when to draw a line between global/regional emergencies and their tribal skirmishes. only the fittest shall survive!!
I stopped reading when I saw igala herdsmen |
