Organisers of the Nigeria Professional Football League, The League Management Company, has confirm that three fans have been arrested in the assault case that happened during a football match.

It was revealed that the men who threw objects at match officials during the matchday-33 game between Wikki Tourist and Rangers International, which ended in a 1-1 draw in Bauchi, have been nabbed.

The suspects identified as: Mohammed Isa (35), Hamisu Mohammed (30) and Yola Ishaya (24), will be arraigned in court soon. Ishaya reportedly threw an object at the 2nd assistant ref. The other two attacked match officials while they were being escorted out of the stadium.

While speaking in an exclusive interview with TheCable Lifestyle, former fake housemate of the 2017 Big Brother Naija, Ese Eriata, disclosed that she cannot accept a role that will require her to display nudity, regardless of the amount of money she’s offered.

The actress and singer said the only compromise she can embrace if handed a s*x scene role is to “make out under the blanket”.

She said; “I can’t go nude on TV, not even for the money. I don’t see myself doing that. I could kiss in a movie and make out under the blanket but no skin. I’d never want to do that kind of role but generally, if you give me any script, I can work with it.”

Ese also revealed that prior to her two-week stint as a fake housemate on Big Brother Naija, she had been working hard to get a break into the film industry, adding that since the reality show ended, opportunities have been coming her way aplenty.

She said: “I’ve been trying to get into the industry for a while but Big Brother gave me a platform and it was amazing. After Big Brother, I’ve been doing a lot; movies, music, comedy, modelling.

“It’s a lot of things but it is something I love to do and I’m happy that I have time for all of them. They say take one step at a time, you have to walk before you run and that is exactly what I am doing.”

The actress, who recently released a new single, says she hopes to collaborate with the likes of singer, Davido and rapper, Olamide.

“I look forward to working with a lot of actors because we have amazing ones in this industry and I hope to work with as many as I can. As for music, I’d love to work with Davido, Olamide and a lot of other artistes,” Ese said.

“Fans should expect more of everything from me, I released my song and the video is now on TV. I have wrapped on a movie set and I’m about to start another one so you can see, no resting or sleeping.”

The former billboard model said she has her hands in many soups because “we have to hustle and remain relevant in the [entertainment] industry”.

A Nigerian pastor resident in The Netherlands allegedly assaulted his wife, leaving her fighting for her life in Hospital.

David Steven, from Edo State, has been accused of being violent towards his wife Vivian. Graphic photos were shared on Facebook yesterday showing his battered wife in hospital. As soon as the photos started going viral, David recorded a Facebook live video where he denied hitting his wife. He claims she fell down the stairs but most people did not buy the story and said as much in the comment section.

David said in one of the videos: "The truth is that I didn't lay my finger on my wife. I didn't beat her. I cannot beat an enemy like that. I can not lay my physical fist on her. I didn't beat her. She fell in the steps and hit her face on the ground. How I wish I could fly ahead to save her but the truth is I couldn't. There is only one question I ask; why should such a thing happen."

Later, he contradicted himself saying: "I was scared she could attack, she may grab my male organ and that may be very dangerous because of the way she was very wild so to try to protect myself I push her hand away."

In a different post, he went into battle mode and began calling the God of vengeance to fight for Vivian. "Vengeance from God for Vivian", he titled the message and spoke of the Lion of the tribe of Judah becoming very angry and visiting those who wish Vivian dead. He went on to quote bible verses and called down curses on those who wish his wife dead, saying;

"May they never see tomorrow. May they die in her place. If I'm the one that wish Vivian dead. May I die in her place," he said.

Acting General Officer Commanding (GOC), 7 Division of the Nigerian Army, Brig Gen Ibrahim Manu Yusuf on Monday celebrated EID EL Fitr with wounded soldiers at 7 Division Medical Services and Hospital (DMSH). The Army commander commended officers and soldiers for their dedication and loyalty in the discharge of their constitutional role.

A coffin with human remains was found in a wooden structure on a plot of land at Adenta, near Accra, Ghana.
Speaking to Ghana Yenson on Accra100.5FM on Monday, June 19, the owner of the plot, one Kwame, narrated how he gave the plot to the occupant of the wooden structure, one Martin, following a plea to him by his friend to allow him put up a temporary structure on the property for lodging.

In January 2017, Kwame said he asked Martin to vacate the plot since he wanted to develop the land, but Martin refused, threatening to kill him and take over the land.
Kwame added that he and his family decided to put up a wall around the plot to save it from encroachment, while also deciding to uproot a Neem tree that was on the land. But when the tree was uprooted, Kwame and his family realised to their shock that a coffin full of human bones had been buried on the property.
