Nigerian men are on Facebook dropping a list of rules and regulations for their future wives, but one young man's list has caught attention.

The 20-point list of rules and regulations include rules that a lot of people consider unreasonable.

The list reads:

RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR MY FUTURE WIFE

Facebook user, One Boye Abe has praised a police officer, for giving first aid to a man who was injured in a minor accident minutes between two commercial tricycle (Keke). Read his post below:
"For those of us who have lost hope (and faith?) In the Nigerian Police Force and think nothing good can ever come out of them, I have a very pleasant surprise for you.
I was minding my business somewhere around CMS Bus Stop on Lagos Island this afternoon and witnessed an incident I just had to capture on camera and share here.
Apparently, there had been a minor accident minutes before between two commercial cycles...a Tricycle (Keke NAPEP) and a Motorcycle (OKADA).
Lo and behold, the Mobile Policemen on duty nearby rushed to the scene, not to demand for bribe, but to give First Aid treatment to a victim of the accident....complete with their own First Aid Kit!

This may sound like a fairy tale but it is for real. Children still study under trees and unfriendly classrooms in many government owned basic education facilities in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.

That is not enough. Children also sit “comfortably” on bare floor while receiving lessons in some public education facilities in the FCT. The schools are equally faced with teachers that are clearly not motivated, financially and otherwise, to give their best.

Local Education Authority (LEA) School, Abattoir, Kutunku IV Extension Layout, Gwagwalada, Abuja, is one of the many public schools in Abuja, where the children of the “poor” get their education under trees and open classrooms.

Of course, aside the health, mental and psychological implications, the children are obviously denied the opportunity to build a strong academic foundation that would help them excel academically in future. Many might be surprised that, in spite of interventions by government and international donor agencies through different platforms, Nigerians could still be found studying under trees in FCT public schools.

This is contrary to the conducive, lovely and caring teaching and learning environment in many private schools where children of the elite are found. At Kutunku, Gwagwalada, Daily Sun saw pupils milling around even when teaching was supposed to be going on. The pupils were obviously children of the less privileged persons in the society.

It was obvious that parents of larger number of children in the school could neither afford instructional books nor uniforms, not to talk of daily stipends for the children’s lunch. The children do not only study under trees and open classrooms, they are also exposed to several health hazards. For instance, in the school compound was a stagnant pool where cattle gather periodically to quench their thirst after grazing.

Being a LEA school, it was expected to be under the care and supervision of the Gwagwalada Area Council but otherwise seems to be the case, an indication something was amiss. Head teacher, Mrs. Olumulo Esther, registered her displeasure and frustration to the poor condition of teaching and learning services in the school:

“It is unfortunate that Nigerian children still study under trees in the 21st century world where systems have been transformed via technology and other innovations. Nigeria is blessed with human and natural resources that could positively transform the living conditions of people. But corruption has held us down. However, there is nothing we could do at our level to help the situation.”

She pointed at an uncompleted structure erected through the financial and logistic contributions by the Parents Teachers Association (PTA) that is being used temporary for the children: “We have to look for a means to cover the uncompleted structure so we could use it to teach children.

“We have few teachers that accepted to work with us. We have to appreciate the NPower programme of the Federal Government. It provided us with more teachers to complement the efforts of the few available ones.”

She solicited the intervention of the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) and FCT administration, in the provision of teaching and learning materials, as well as erection of befitting structures and classroom desks.

The case was different at the LEA basic education school in Dawaki, Bwari Area Council, Abuja, where classrooms in the school had few seats to cater for large number of children. As a result, the children were left with the option of converting the obviously cold floor to comfortable seats so they could receive lessons.

One of the teachers who pleaded anonymity admitted that enrolment and children attendance have been poor due to absence of conducive teaching and learning environment: “It has also discouraged teachers and weakened children’s interest from attending school.”

She appealed to a team of UBEC officials monitoring the ongoing National Personnel Audit (NPA), to assist the school with basic teaching and learning needs so they could assist the children build their academic foundation, preparatory for global challenge ahead.

It was believed that these barrage of complaints across Nigeria that informed the decision of UBEC to audit all private and public basic education facilities so they could produce a reliable statistical database that would help in the planning and implementation of educational policies.

Chelsea FC star Victor Moses on Thursday joined his Super Eagles teammates in their London camp ahead of their pre-World Cup friendly against England at Wembley on Saturday.

The Nigeria Football Federation confirmed Moses’ arrival on their verified Twitter handle, stating also that all the expected Eagles players are in camp now.

“Victor Moses has joined the team in camp. Everybody is in now,” the NFF tweeted.

With Moses, the team now has 26 players in camp, including Moses Simon who is battling thigh injury.

Victor Moses, who won the Emirates FA Cup with Chelsea, should be in contention for a starting place when the Eagles face England.

The Eagles departed Abuja for London on Wednesday after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari.

A Nigerian lady, Miss Becky Kisses took to social media to narrate how her family woke up to see an evil bat hanging on a pole outside their home in Umuahia, Abia state.

She says she has a feeling it was sent to her family because she is from a village filled with diabolical people .She wrote


"Really thank God for saving us last night, around 2am when I was sewing a dress for my client at home I was hearing some weird noise from outside, and because we live on the outskirts of umuahia it’s always quiet and people don’t usually go out after 7pm so by around 2am you should expect everyone to be asleep except something really bad happens that might affect everyone ..
That night felt different but I was still able to complete my sewing despite the weird animal noise because we are only used to hearing noise from dogs barking or owls and some night birds that thrive around that area, but not that sort of noise because it sounded like something that is not even from earth, trust me I’ve heard weird noises but this one is a big exception, I was surprised when I woke up in the morning and I found this dead bat hanging dead on our electric pole…

Modupe, a female photographer and events planner, marked her 5th wedding anniversary some days back. To celebrate, she shared her love story and it's fast going viral.

Modupe and her husband met in 2009 while they were both at the NYSC orientation camp in Bauchi. They became friends immediately, began dating soon after, and eventually got married. They now have two lovely kids; a boy and a girl and have apparently enjoyed a blissful marriage so far.

I MET MY HUSBAND 3rd day in the CAMP.
It all started in the #nysc camp (2009/2010 Batch A) Bauchi State.
As usual as you come in 1st, 2nd and even 3rd day are for registrations, getting your kits, being threatened by the soldiers calling you OTONDO, if you're walking you're wrong. Double up double up! then end up being friends, meeting old and new friends, morning drilling and all.
Who remember that song:
Them go born mumu them go born mumu if corper marry corper them go born mumu? And really don't like to serve in the north cos all life as being in the north so I love to be posted to either Lagos or Port Harcourt.
So the 3rd day was the swearing in and what I did was just to ask for a PEN from this guy to sign my oath of service form and that was all.
He as being my best friend, brother, father, mentor, partner in crime and to crown it up my one and only sweetheart. I love you so dearly if am opportune to come back to this planet earth I will choose you again and again.
What else can I ask for when He as given me the bunch of key to the doors of life, you're a gift from ABOVE.
Having you is like having the whole world. I bless the day I met you
