forgiveness: As at 2000 Ibadan has more skyscrapers than Kenya. As at 2015 Lagos has more skyscrapers than Nairobi.
The two tallest building in Nairobi that is taller than Lagos's where built in 2015 and 2016 with the height of 200 meters and 163 meters while Lagos tallest building was built in 1979 with the height of 160 meters
You very funny! You are showing me renders and you call them tallest building in Africa.
Nairobi is building, so is Abuja but Abuja own tall pass.
http://www.centenarycity.com/africa-tower.html I admire how you fight for Nigerian passionately but it end up blinding you about us. Kenya's first real building bubble was experienced in the 1970's. Iconic Buildings like KICC and Hilton Hotel were already up by early 70's. By 90's almost all the buillds below were up kissing the sky.. So what skyscrapers did Ibadan have by then!!! From 2002 Nairobi building bubble has been outside cbd mainly upperhill, westlands,Hurlingum,Mombasa road among others.

forgiveness: I know the value of direct foreign investment and I also know the importance of building mega companies controlled and owned by Nigerians.
Both compliments each other.
You made look as If Nairobi has more multinational companies than Lagos but I am letting you know you are wrong.
We have thousands of Multinational companies headquarters in Lagos both locally and internationally.
How is Kenya the biggest investors in Africa by ventures? Explain yourself.
What is going to be the height of the tallest building in Nairobi by 2020? Is it going to be more than the one Abuja is building? 308 meters.
The skyscrapers are built on a reclaimed sea and beside the sea and a lake. Tell me who would not love to live there?
What are the names of those Asian countries?
The simple truth is Lagos has but Nairobi don't have. Nairobi has more multinational than Lagos by far, show me the multinationals in Lagos and I wills show you in Nairobi Kenya is the biggest in vestor in Africa by venture, check below link. Kenya Trumps SA, Emerges Africa's Biggest Investor - South Africa News https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=http://buzzsouthafrica.com/kenya-trumps-sa-emerges-africas-biggest-investor/&ved=0ahUKEwjY1J-H3MPQAhUMIcAKHXjzD8QQFggzMAI&usg=AFQjCNGEJqwrZENJmh5luqikA7zBq-TXwQThe tallest structures to be in africa is already in advanced stage(site preps) in Nairobi the one for abuja I know by 2020 will remain proposed. Most of the Asian countries have upgraded their mono rails to metro rail..Japan,India,Malaysia |

LightYagami: Enugu, Calabar, Kano and co maybe compare them to Nakuru or Eldoret or even Kisumu, and I said maybe. Nothing close to Mombasa tbh And lets be realistic here, you cannot compare Port Harcourt to Nairobi. I would not compare Abuja to Nairobi. But I can compare Lagos to Nairobi The bigger part of Kano and Ibadan are Vast unplanned settlements which grew from the ancient cities with zero improvement... They have 5-10 times the population of cities like Nakuru,Kidumu,Eldoret but they 20 times uglier. |

forgiveness: Of course, we have 3 cities of Nairobi status. Abuja, Lagos and Port Harcourt.
And we have 4 of Mombasa's status, Calabar, Enugu, Ibadan and Kano even Kaduna. Uyo is coming up fast. Top five Major cities in Nigeria can beat Nairobi when it comes to population. But when it comes to infrastructure, beauty and ambience Nairobi has no equal in Nija.. In the most leavable Cities in Africa Nairobi has been equated to major S.A cities in a kinder way.. http://www.africa.com/blog/the_top_10_most_liveable_cities_in_africa/Too sad there wasn't even one Nija City on the list. Mombasa BTW receives more tourist than the whole of Nigeria combined.. Calabar and Enugu cannot even reach a quarter the status of Mombasa. Its a pity to even put Portharcourt in the same league with Nairobi when Lagos alone cannot fit in. One thing I respect Nigeria for is how a city with 21m ppl can exist with such a limited infrastructure... |

Kenya welcomes almost two million tourists plus and ahundreds of thousand expatriates?? Who does Nigeria accommodate?? Let me ask this way how many countries in the world accommodate Nigerians .We have arrested so many Nigerians with expired passport, Drug trafficking, money laundering... Make your selfs accomodatable first.. |

highheybee: Lol about you posting pictures of your universities when we all know beauty doesn't translate...come oau, convenant and you know we also got beautiful ones...buh we all know 3kenya universities are in top 100 while 13 in too 200 while Nigeria the other way round have 13 per 100 and 31 per 200
http://www.webometrics.info/en/Africa Have Nigerians like Nairalander told how many Nigerians are getting their education from Kenya? Can it be said of Kenyans in Nigeria?? Kenyan universities has a lot of students from every part of the world, S.A, USA,U.k... Mind you some of the Unis are not mentioned in the top 100. |

forgiveness: I think Nigeria is moving pass the stage of waiting for multinationals to open office in Nigeria. We are building our own multinational companies ourselves and some of these companies are opening offices out Nigeria, in Europe, Africa, and America.
Our banks and insurance companies are examples of Nigerian companies becoming the HQs of Multinational companies in Nigeria
Glo network, Dangote, Arik air, Oando, Con oil, GTB bank, Zenith bank, First Bank, etc are all Nigerian's companies becoming multinational. And all these companies have their headquarters in Lagos.
When it comes to infrastructures and housing development in Lagos, you can't imagine. From bungalows to duplexes, to flats, to apartments and mansions, Lagos has them all.
Is Nairobi building apartments 12 - 40 stories? Lagos is already doing that.
Eko Atlantic city is another example of world class housing development in Lagos. It can only be measured with apartments in Dubai.
The population of Nigerians and Africans in Lagos will not make you notice the thousands of expatriates in Lagos but we don't believe they are better than Nigerians that is why Nigeria will not allow unnecessary expatriates for a job Nigerians can do better.
When you talk about malls, we have more than you think. You only know about shoprit but we have others, you don't know.
Lagos is not behind Nairobi when is it comes to infrastructures...
Does Nairobi has mono rail? Haha your Nigerian pride is blinding you, No nation is an island... All developed countries are full of multinationals, look at Dubai,China, Singapore they all attracted foreign investors to experience economic bubble they had.. Just a reminder Kenya is the biggest investor in Africa by number of ventures and second to S.A by capital, check where nija is and come back...you keep talking about skyscrapers hahaha funny how you forget tallest structures are under construction in Kenya infact by 2020 the tallest building in Nija will be number 10 in Kenya and BTW who would love to leave in a skyscraper when you can leave in a beautiful mansion near the park, around the forest or near a river atypical example of London and Dubai... Before I forget Asian countries destroyed their mono rail, they weren't beneficial to them. |

highheybee: Soon it will be Kenya is better than Egypt and then South africa...you are still a newbie in the game so all those projects makes you think building malls, ports and skyscrapers is what makes you better...then you are sadly mistaken....Burj khalifa tallest in the world doesn't make uae better than London with few high-rise....when you say all sectors...please kinda highlight those sectors in which you are better...the aba mega mall is 280000m²,so all this touting about ports doesn't make you better What's can we learn from Nija? We have better planned cities than you guys, we have taller skyscrapers than you guys, we have better retail sector than you guys, we have better infrastructure and tourism facilities not forgeting Mombasa has been handling more cagos than Lagos... What we can only learn from nija is how to avoid family planning. |
