Most people are of the opinion that our bad roads are the main cause of these road accidents. But lets tell ourselves the truth. The rate of road accidents in our beloved country, Nigeria, is alarming. Just between December 19, 2012 and January 3rd this year alone, the FRSC recorded 280 deaths from 480 road accidents. Now just few days ago, over 100people were declared dead from another road crash. Sometimes i wonder if our birth rate equals the death rate caused by road accidents. the saddest truth is that everyone including you and i has been directly or indirectly affected by road accidents, and in most cases, these accidents leave you with a lifelong scar. Most of our roads are bad, quite alright, but it is our attitude towards these roads that determines our survival. Let us not leave the fight to the government offiialsalone. Pls drop your opinions or contributions towards how this accident occurences can be reduced. I just hope this thread will be contributed to by everyone and probably make the front page, so that this menace threatening to wipe out our generation will be curbed to a reasonable extent
