*TAKING BACK YOUR LIFE*

Romans 6:2 Certainly not! How can we who died to sin live in it any longer?

FROM the beginning we read from the book of Genesis that God breathed into the nostrils of Adams the breath of life after God formed him from the dust and Adam became a living soul. It is certain that Adam’s life was given to him by the Lord sponsored by the agency of the Spirit. With that life he had he was able to do certain amazing things like naming all the living creatures God formed from the ground. Adam had such a cool fellowship with God until he took back the life given to him through disobedience, Adam without any form of dissonance with Eve upon seeing the fruit, ate away his spiritual life and he couldn’t gain back that life before his death.

There is a popular saying by the people of this part of my world; this life is not balanced. As a man thinks in his heart so he is. The life Adam lived afterwards was not balanced, you can agree to that, it was a messed-up life. The trouble in the world started from the singular act of insubordination by Eve and Adam could not put up an agreement upon seeing the fruit.

Let fast-forward to the present day, a believer's life we have gotten is much far better that of the messed-up life lived in the dispensation before the Holy Spirit era. The amazing thing that makes it different is that Jesus being the last Adam is a quickening spirit and it is written, whosoever believes in Him shall have an everlasting life. The moment you received Jesus as Lord and savior, by faith we received the life of God in us but not a quickening spirit for we are already a living soul. We cannot have a quickening spirit after we get born again and still live the same way afterwards.

This is precisely why after we become born again, next it is to put the new man in the knowledge of Him who created all things by learning of Christ by renewing your spirit to know that the new man which after God has created in righteousness and holiness. The hunger to know God can only come when you have been quickened by the Holy Spirit, apart from that, you will only have desires to know God, but you take back your life each time you have given Him YOUR life. Many of us have done the altar calls several times, made 100 confessions to change from our old sinful life’s but we still go back to our vomit. Adams took back his life without putting up a fight and many of you are like him; we see danger calls and we go out for it without any form of dissention. Dear beloved, to not take back your life which you have relinquished to God, believe in your heart that you are dead, and your life is hidden in Christ in God. You will need to mortify your propensities to give into iniquities applications of the flesh.

Set your affections/mind on things which bring glory to God and kill those sexual vice, impurity, sensual appetites, unholy desires in your heart. To get rid of these things might not be easy especially if you are already sexually active and hence, I am agitator of sexual purity among youth/Teens. The way out is allowing God to quicken your spirit for Jesus Christ is a quickening Spirit and how does this come?

*CYCLE OF LIFE* part 1
John 1:4 In Him was Life; and the Life was the light of men.

THE Scriptures were written for two major things, that we the reader might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God( to be Son of God is to be God) and secondly it is written that through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures we might have hope as we learn from the Word. Invariably, we have life through the name of Jesus and this same Jesus is the anchor of our hope. All I have said is centered on believe and hope. For without your believing in Jesus as the Son of God, faith has not come, and it is your hope that you have as Christ been your anchor of life that fill up your faith. Therefore, you can agree with me that faith is the center of our value in Christianity and for this faith to be seen, we must have a proper understanding of what we call LOVE. It is love that moves faith and without love, faith is dead. We have faith in Jesus as our Lord and redeemer because of the Love that was shown by Him. For anyone out there to believe in Christ through us, it’s a function of our love. For God so loved the world that He decided to show up His love by dwelling among men. Everything God created was from a point of idea in Him and hence we have the popular saying *ideas rule the world* what is idea? It is simply concepts or thoughts

In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. Jesus is the eternal Word of God. In the beginning the heaven and earth created by God, suddenly, we realized the earth was without form, and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. We discovered God had an idea, a concept that needed to be expressed. Basically, from the dimension of God and how He created and formed the universe is divided into two parts. We saw that God spoke a word; let there be. Brethren, that is God expressing His idea in spoken word. Now to bring these mysteries to our level, another part of God's idea was not just the spoken word but the creative works. So, God's idea expressed in words was also expressed in creative works. Are you confused? Please don’t be, I am only saying the idea of God in creative works brought about everything we have seen today being made by God. examples are the trees, the mountain and the animals and the human beings. When man failed the processes God had in mind for eternity, God at once, as an extreme extraordinary strategy came up with another idea. *CONDITIONS OF PRAYER* part 13

Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one. For thine is the kingdom, and power, and glory, forever. Amen

As we round up on this series, it is my desire that you develop a healthier prayer fellowship in your personal fellowship. We have talked about the conditions, and we also have given us some secrets that could advance a dynamic prayer life. Another crucial secret we are adding is, endeavor to always use the Word to pray. The secret of using the Word to pray is a function of you memorizing more scriptures and allowing the Scriptures to guide you in life. It is more operative if you memorize verses of the Scriptures, then you are living according to the Scriptures and once you can use that same Scriptures in your prayers, your prayers will be fervent and effectual with results. To memorize Scriptures is the same as intimately familiarizing yourself with the Bible and the Bible is the Word and the Word is Jesus and inwardly you are intimately familiarizing yourself with the person of Christ Jesus. Jesus said to the Jews, the Scriptures testify of me and through searching the Scriptures, we found Jesus and our life changes. Paul the greatest Apostle of them all made a reflective statement; after three years of been with a group of believers, when he was about to go; he said I commend you to God, and to the Word of His grace which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all which are sanctified.

Beloved, we must pray with the Word, in our conversation generally we must put in the Word. For every necessity or situation, you must pray according to a scripture of promise. In essence you are claiming your inheritance in the Word through your prayers and to probably to spice it up, put actions to your prayers. For the Word of God has the ability to bring what you have declared to come to pass; for prayers to believers are spiritual weapons. If Jesus used the Word to defeat Satan’s temptations, don’t you think you as a believer must have the Word in your heart and mind. This will enable you to use the Word in every situation. There is evil in the land, one of your safest ways to live is growing in the Word and loving the presence of God in your spirit, soul, and body. Every opportunity that is brought to you, cross check with the Word in your heart. Why? The Word of God is an idea on its own. God spoke His idea and today we have all that creative word of GOD. What do you think of what God said, Let us make man in our image? That was God's idea and He spoke; His idea became the word. He also has this idea to save man when man falls. So, God's idea was put into action and the Word became flesh and dwell among men and His glory was seen as of the Father. Invariably, don’t live without the Word, you must pray the Word. *CONDITIONS OF PRAYER* part 12

Prayer is not rigid but dynamic as the Holy Spirit helps your understanding. One other thing we must remember to do during our close fellowship with God is the aptitude to always ask for forgiveness. It is even possible you might not have sinned against God or man but just to be on the safer side of a healthy prayer lifestyle, it is good whenever the Holy Spirit brings your mind to ask for forgiveness of sin, please don’t hesitate to pray in that direction. I personally do not ask for forgiveness every day but sometimes I make a confession of: *Lord have mercy unknowingly*. My mind has been wired to think consciously of the Holy Spirit and no more sin consciousness. For many of us who have this struggling spirit, I mean those of us who are weak in the flesh, whose tongues are faster than their shadow, you need to watch out how you spend each day and always make an effort to forsake your sins and never to cover them. Beloved prayers that can move mountains must not have room for bitterness in our heart for the Scriptures have given us laid down principles for this. Let see what Mark 11 v23-25 says

For verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto the mountain, be that be removed, and be thou be cast into the sea; and thou shall not doubt in the heart but shall believe that those things which he says shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he says. Therefore, I say unto you what things soever you desire, when ye pray, believe that ye shall have received them, and shall have them. *When you stand praying, forgive, if you have ought against any: that your Father also, which is in heaven may forgive your trespasses*.

Unforgiving hearts deny us many of our inheritance in Christ, deny us as agents of different dimensions in God and many more. It is impossible to be at peace with God and living a holy life and we still harbor an unforgiving spirit. If you realized from the Scriptures, we have quoted above. We have three things you must take into consideration which are 1) says 2) heart 3) forgiveness. We have more sayings, meaning we must continue to confess more without any doubt in heart and with a forgiving heart and we can have what we say. What is next if you have been able to know who you are talking to, your heart is full of gratitude with His will for you and not your will in your personal fellowship? Based on the manner of prayers Jesus recommended, that is the moment to ask for your needs, especially the basic needs of life. Give us this day our daily bread simply means, give us our daily needs. Basically, asking for daily things depends on your income per month, what Mr B might be asking for could be different from Mrs T. In essence, it is your right to ask whatever you believe is your daily needs. The Scriptures say ask and shall be given unto you. If you ask anything according to my will, it shall be given unto you. The emphasis here is according to God’s will. Many believers have many questions in their mind when it comes to this part of the teaching of the Gospel? The Scriptures say, you do not have because you do not ask. No good thing will God withhold from those who walk uprightly. Psl 84v11. What is the will of God for us all, to wall uprightly but even at that, the Scriptures says, God will never deny His faithfulness even when we are unfaithful?

There are many reasons to talk about when it comes to unanswered prayers, but we must have understanding that God’s idea of a good things might be dissimilar than ours because if our earthly fathers whose heart are evil can give good gifts, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask Him. If you are asking according to His will, you are walking uprightly (obedience in holiness), it is matter of time for He is not withholding the good things. Beloved two things might be involved; ensure you are asking in faith (leave option B) Heb 11v6 James 1 v5-6 and secondly, put on the spirit of patience and have the understanding that God is not ignoring you. I will encourage you to put your way in the right way because no one cannot pour water into a cup that is ready full. The heart must be open to the Spirit’s influence for God’s blessing to be received. We must not cherish sins in our lives, give up any sins that might be influencing your way of life negatively. Lastly continue prayers without ceasing for God is love, His time and His will be fulfilled in your life, He is interested in every detail of your life. If God could come for you despite your sinful lifestyle, then, as a born again believer, He will come through for you as you wait on Him. Once you can recognize who you are praying to without fear and anxiety, it’s easier for you to be consecrated to Him in your personal fellowship. What do I mean by being consecrated? Your worship and praises will be saturated in as you thank God for all He has done and even things yet to be done. What were you doing at that time? You are hallowing His name in your worship as part of your prayers. Believe me it is impossible to pray without first worshiping in your personal fellowship especially when you are consistent in your deep intimacy with God. Just like every parent will like a heartfelt thank you first from their children when they are starting a conversation in respect to what the parents did before, and in the same manner God appreciates our conversation in our intimacy to start with a heartfelt appreciation of what He has done and not done. To be honest it is easier this way because as you adore God from your heart, your faith to believe in a greater prayer to be answered comes alive and in that situation the impossible can be real and be overcome. God loves praises and such a heart of praise opens the gates of heaven, and this is what we must be engaging in daily.

I am passionate about personal fellowship for every individual who will love to walk with the Lord, because in that place of personal fellowship, your will has been exchanged with the will of God. Seeking God daily and with diligence in your secret place of worship, could role-modeled a heart of obedience and submission to the will of God over your own desires. Friends we are living currently in a perilous time, where right and wrong are consistently confused and the uncertainty of the future is full of frustration. Trust me, it could be hard to know what to pray for or even how to pray. One thing I can assure you is that, if we can trust in the plan of God for us as we commit our devotion to Him, He is able to bring all our expectations to reality. All God needs from us is to trust and obey His voice in us. What is next if you have been able to know who you are talking to, your heart is full of gratitude with His will for you and not your will? Beloved we have successfully discussed four conditions of prayer the Holy Spirit inspired me, and I believed this material will help our prayer lives. Now we have more things we need to talk about still, many of the believers out there do not like prayers but I will always refer us to the author of our faith in God who will often time slip away to wildness and pray. How then if Jesus, just like you and me, could need a break from the weights of His demanding life to restock his spiritual battery and a time out with God. Don’t you think that the lifestyle of Jesus should guide our own lifestyle as well? Many times, when we slip away to be alone with God, we plug into the purpose, power and discernment that can only be found in God’s presence. In this series, we want to help many believers to have a deep thoughtful meaning of having an effectual prayer in their lives. Once you have gotten those conditions we have observed, next is for you to know certain things why you are praying, and this will help you develop a more prevailing and operative prayer life.

First as you go into your personal fellowship, RECOGNIZE to whom you are discussing with for prayer is a discussion. If you are have a conversation with a doctor based on certain happening in your life, you will first know or recognize this is a doctor and in the same line, recognize or understand you are talking to the Father of all spirit, the Lord of Host, the owner and maker of everything that exist, the one who gives the innovative spirit to men to invent things we use as human and most importantly, know that you are talking to your Father and hence Jesus teaching of the prayers started with; *our Father in heaven* the Jews had never heard that kind of prayer, they never say God as their father but Jesus came to introduce God to them and as well as us as our Father. Just as Jesus had a relationship with God, the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus has given us the same right of relationship to call God Abba Father. The root to God is Jesus but the channel to God is the Holy Spirit and hence every believer must develop that intimacy with the Holy Spirit for Jesus said the Holy Spirit testify of Him and the Holy Spirit does not speak of Himself, but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak; and He shall show you things to come. Once you have developed intimacy with the Holy Spirit, your journey of healthy prayer life has started. *CONDITIONS OF PRAYER* part 8
Romans 12:11 Not slothful in business; fervent in the spirit; serving the Lord.

The devils will keep trying to make us to be cold towards God by pulling us from His presence and the moment we don’t cherish His presence in our daily walk, our services to God cannot be fervent in the spirit. How can a believer keep the fire burning or remain fervent in the spirit? Elijah was a man the Scriptures described as a prophet of fire, it means if you could do a comparative analysis on him, Elijah was fervent in the spirit, he returned the heart of men from Baal to God by praying for fire, He spoke it should not rain for three and half years and prayed earnestly for the rain to returned and we also saw how he parted the river Jordan and later caught up by the chariot of fire and ascended to heaven. The point is his fervent spirit was attributed to fervent prayers. To live fervently for God entails a life of prayers just as the Scriptures has pointed us to the reality that the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. If you have ever cooked with firewood, let the cooking fire be the biggest ever seen, if we do not put more wood, it can quench. In relating this also to our lives, prayers will always light up our spirit; a committed lifestyle of prayer as part of our personal fellowship has a tendency to sharpen our minds and spirit to override all challenges of life being overcomer as we ought to be.

For us to be fervent in the spirit, we must live inside the Holy Spirit. Using the pattern of the Tabernacle to illustrate this in Exodus 30v8 Lev 6v12 two altars in the tabernacle fire were always burning ( 1st altar outside the Tent and second altar inside the Tent). The first altar as believers can be related as our services to God as a living sacrifice; not allowing the flesh to fulfil the lust of the flesh. If you are still dwelling in the sin of the flesh as a believer and you want to serve God with a fervent spirit, then your first altar is weak. You need to build your first altar which is a peace offering (burnt offering) by living above sin of the flesh. Then if you can achieve this, your second altar is the incense offering and this represents our personal fellowship with God which is the prayer life of a believer, the praise life of believer and many more. As we hate iniquities and love righteousness, so we don’t fulfill lust of the flesh and as our worship and prayer life is a committed one, the effect of these altars as living tabernacle or moving altar; the fire of the Holy Spirit keeps burning in our lives. His presence is light and fire and where such mystery exists you can survive all challenges of life for God is with you. *Keep dwelling in Him as Jesus is love, THE solution, and Lord* Think Christ, think people.

*CONDITIONS OF PRAYER* part 7
James 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. *The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much*.

Still on the fourth condition of prayer, having a fervent spirit. We said a fervent spirit is that spirit that cannot be quenched by anything or circumstance. The opposite of a fervent spirit is a broken/wounded spirit. A broken spirit is a cold or frozen spirit. What kind of spirit do you have? What is the temperature of your spirit? A man’s spirit can sustain him in his sickness, but who can bear a broken spirit? A merry heart makes the heart of man like a good medicine, but a broken or wounded spirit dries the bones of man. The sorrows of the hearts break the spirit of a man after so many words of his roaring of his heart disquietness. A man who suffered from a broken/wounded spirit is Job in the Bible. A big problem could potentially turn someone who was fervent in serving the Lord to be cold, even to frozen spirit. The increase of sins and wickedness at the time we are in currently could pose a danger for people’s hearts to be cold. This is the perilous time we have zone into, and you must do everything to be fervent in the spirit. It is my prayer for you reading that no challenging situation that life will bring your way that will be able to kill your spirit and brings your spirit to be cold for Christ in Jesus amen

What can we do to be fervent more and more in the spirit despites all the situations we might be facing? For we pray daily and when our prayers are not fervent in the spirit, it produces no results. Therefore, it is very imperative we allow the Holy Spirit to stir and burn our hearts now like never before. The one works of the Holy Spirit when allowed is to keep our spirit burning and fervent enough. The truth is this, we ourselves cannot really make our spirit to be fervent without the presence of the Holy Spirit and hence I always advise that our heart or spirit must be conscious always of the Holy Spirit within us and around us. The Holy Spirit produces fire that stir the heart to keep burning for the things of God, this in return keeps your spirit fervent in serving Him even in bad situations you might have seen yourself. I was once there and I can tell from my experience, I was very fervent in the spirit serving the Lord in my dark days. It is the Holy Spirit's fire in you that will make you to confess positively in dark days; who can separate me from the love of Christ; you head up and look tribulation like a mountain and says, oh you mountain; nothing neither death, principalities nor life can separate me from the love of Christ. Prayer is not rigid but dynamic as the Holy Spirit helps your understanding. One other thing we must remember to do during our close fellowship with God is the aptitude to always ask for forgiveness. My mind has been wired to think consciously of the Holy Spirit and no more sin consciousness. For many of us who have this struggling spirit, I mean those of us who are weak in the flesh, whose tongues are faster than their shadow, you need to watch out how you spend each day and always make an effort to forsake your sins and never to cover them. Unforgiving hearts deny us many of our inheritance in Christ, deny us as agents of different dimensions in God and many more. It is impossible to be at peace with God and living a holy life and we still harbor an unforgiving spirit. If you realized from the Scriptures, we have quoted above.
