UK visa application fees is also increasing from 8th of next month. My people can save some money if they can apply before the date. Peace

If schools decided to increase their CAS deposit with same percentage that would not be a problem

I think universities in the UK are being forced to take a stand, how would a student get a visa with complete amount then get to the UK and default on tuition free payment? Obviously that money never existed and schools have the right to demand for full payment or increase the deposit. They are not running charity organisations, it’s business.


Planning to work and pay remaining tuition fees is just madness because you are not sure of getting that job sooner.

Oga dey calm down . We all know how this thing work, u think it’s easy to cough out 40-50m naira instantly just like that. You are here defending the oyinbo system that are in support of financing as method of payment for good and services.
Even their citizen can’t afford the tuition that’s why they created payment plan for them .
A business or economy without credit or financing procedure would crumble .
You think they don’t know the best way to meet up with tuition fee for majority of international students is to work while schooling ? They know all of these that’s why they even granted u d grace to come with dependent that would work without limit just so u can pay ur tuition balance . They even give u the opportunity to apply for credit card.
At d end of the day it’s a win win scenario bcus the percentage of students that didn’t mess up that grace are higher than those that messed it up. Their economy and education industry keep booming , whereas u as a migrant gets a japa pathway

There is no crime if one wants to travel via study route, work legally as d system permits and pay tuition balance. Stop discouraging us with your mean words please . No be everybody wey dey here be billionaire pikin. Probably u sef japa via same method but u are here condemning others and saying their idea is “m@dness”.

Most universities in the UK have started adjusting their tuition deposit payments. If you had paid earlier but it was increased before issuing CAS numbers, you have no option but to pay the full amount. That is so pathetic to me and I feel sorry for the new policy of the university. I was about to make the payment yesterday morning when I noticed the change in the tuition deposit especially at Hull University.

Check Plymouth . They are still accepting 3500 as deposit and bal to be paid in 3 installments

The rule is from UKVI; they're probably making a lot of changes and want to ensure there are few applications with these new rules.

Some schools are just over reacting to UKVI policies . Bolton deposit is still 5k , Wrexham hasn’t changed theirs too

Omo it's 10k. Crazy how in 2021, I paid £9000 as the total tuition and the tuition deposit was £2000 then

The craz!y thing they did was to add naija to the list without prior notice .. As at 1st week of March that I applied for my wife it was stil £4k for Nigeria

Omo!! E shock me too.. And my wife has been given their admission and got done with the credibility interview. Thank God we haven’t deposited the usual £4k before someone told me that in this month they have adjusted their deposit plan for naija student

I mean, the one with the best job prospects after schooling; I got offers from the following school with the courses....
1. University of Hull...msc renewable energy and low carbon solutions
2. University of Portsmouth(i got 2 offers)...msc water and environmental engineering and msc Geographic Information Systems
3. University of Bedfordshire.....msc environmental management

University of hull has increased their tuition deposit for Nigerians to £10k … Run away from them . I’m looking at admission into another sch like this

If your offer is for September,it's best you start making plans for your payment of deposit by June...also if you have a way to mail the school about your offer not having a deadline if they can send a revised offer

Also you can start your proof of funds as soon as you're done paying your deposit

If the school requires a pre cas interview,I can send you a pdf so you can prepare but if not that's fine

Even 1 year IHS is over 1k, my friend paid 1225 pounds.

I no even get strength argue with anyone, I dropped the Info with approximate prices, the exact amount I paid for 2 years visa was 2070 pounds so I put 2100 incase exchange rate goes up or it could be lower as well.

Depends on your course if it’s 1 year or 2, for 2 years IHS is about 2100 pounds and visa fee for any year is about 550 pounds, 1 year IHS fee should be about 1250 pounds if I remember well. Interview is based of whoever is handling your visa application, most people don’t get interviewed by ukvi

Well this is wrong according to info on ukvi site .. IHS for student is £776 a year ..tho for a year course it’s not exactly 12months visa they would issue , it will have some months more than 12months so therefore it’s a year and half IHS u wud pay for 1year study.
Visa fee is £524 for standard processing

What’s with the state or federal sponsorship thing , is it for real? U said you know some people that used it to get UK visa but only one applicant was denied.
Somebody has also told me about federal sponsorship because student that travel with that can bring in dependent even with direct MSc. I felt skeptical bout it when the person told me that some legit sources runs this federal scholarship/ sponsorship thing.
Reading one of your comment that u mentioned something of such makes me wanna enquire more about it , how real is it and if u know a sure source that does it

I checked tho and I found out it’s the pegged cbn rate they quoted. I think they may later adopt the new trading rate d cbn recognizes now as a result of naira float . The cbn has abolished d pegged rate system
