Universities are now adding Nigeria to the list of countries required to pay the full tuition fee as deposit for Mres
University of Wolverhampton just sent me a mail regarding my offer saying i will have to pay the full 22k as deposit, and my only offence is being a Nigerian 😂😂

It’s not only Nigerians the policy is affecting , it’s virtually all International students… UK schs are now increasing the deposit while some are demanding full payment .The UK is tightening their immigration laws now.. The door wey Rishi Sunak open wide back then dem don dey close am small small now

On your conditional offer are the conditions about verification of ur degree by your sch and deposit of £5500 ? Cos these are d conditions listed on the offer of my colleague at work.

I’m not sure how long I have to pay the tuition deposit but I’m working on that already. Any idea?

Regarding my work history and salary, I have been working remotely for over 3 years but my salary(earning) has always been via crypto network(p2p:third party) precisely and my bank account transactions are not well coordinated. How do I prove my source of income? Is it advisable if I build one of my local bank accounts for 6 months to streamline funds against visa process?

I will be sponsoring myself, is there anything to be worried about or prepared for?

Also, can anyone be so kind enough to share the necessary documentation I need to get in place from now till December when I intend to apply for visa, please?

Before you think of UK japa now as a student and dependent please have like 40m smiling in your aza cos virtually all schools have increased their tuition deposit and also changed their tuition balance payment plan.
Imagine university of greater Manchester that accepted £3k deposit from my bro in 2024 and no payment on enrollment is now requesting for an amount within £5k - £8k as deposit and balance payment before enrollment

UK visa application fees is also increasing from 8th of next month. My people can save some money if they can apply before the date. Peace

I think universities in the UK are being forced to take a stand, how would a student get a visa with complete amount then get to the UK and default on tuition free payment? Obviously that money never existed and schools have the right to demand for full payment or increase the deposit. They are not running charity organisations, it’s business.

Most universities in the UK have started adjusting their tuition deposit payments. If you had paid earlier but it was increased before issuing CAS numbers, you have no option but to pay the full amount. That is so pathetic to me and I feel sorry for the new policy of the university. I was about to make the payment yesterday morning when I noticed the change in the tuition deposit especially at Hull University.

Check Plymouth . They are still accepting 3500 as deposit and bal to be paid in 3 installments

The rule is from UKVI; they're probably making a lot of changes and want to ensure there are few applications with these new rules.

Some schools are just over reacting to UKVI policies . Bolton deposit is still 5k , Wrexham hasn’t changed theirs too

The craz!y thing they did was to add naija to the list without prior notice .. As at 1st week of March that I applied for my wife it was stil £4k for Nigeria

If your offer is for September,it's best you start making plans for your payment of deposit by June...also if you have a way to mail the school about your offer not having a deadline if they can send a revised offer

Also you can start your proof of funds as soon as you're done paying your deposit

If the school requires a pre cas interview,I can send you a pdf so you can prepare but if not that's fine

I no even get strength argue with anyone, I dropped the Info with approximate prices, the exact amount I paid for 2 years visa was 2070 pounds so I put 2100 incase exchange rate goes up or it could be lower as well.
