Business / Re: Sokoloan Set To Shutdown, After Paying ₦10 Million NITDA Fine by jayJR(m): 11:53am On Oct 30, 2021 |
The real reason they re shutting down is not the N10million Naira fine. But the fact that they lost means they ll be open to series of law suits from their customers which may run into billions of Naira , hence the close up shop before litigation flood their offices. 1 Like |

He was riding on a motorcycle and thought he could get through the flooded road, mind you the water level on the road was up to 1.5metres with plenty of water flow from the lane coming from Iworoko. No vehicle attempted to go through, even a Toyota luxury bus was sunken to wind shield level. All we saw was the Okada man revving his bike and going into the water gradually( against the warning of people in their hundreds), the farther he went the more he lost it! Once he got past where the bus was the flood swept him and the bike very gradually till there was no trace of him. It was a really sad case of not knowing when to abort a failed mission. Please let no body call this a spiritual case because had the proper engineering solution been executed it would not have happen. Of course we waited for many many hours before cars could pull through 1 Like |

You obviously lack knowledge of what things are internationally..please tell us how many bomb attacks have you heard of in the U.S.A since 9/11? It's about Intel, thwarting the plan of the enemy before it materialises, butit requires a lot of brilliance something you and your GEJ lacks! juliusocean: |

ichidodo: Any time I see these font colors on nairaland it's always some gibberish, uncivilised, out of the norms of a sane societal statement that comes from it, and you never fail to keep up that record!!! Have you any idea what proper governance is about? I don't comment much here cos in the end what will be will be but you should strive to be reasonable in your comments please. 1 Like |

Nairaland / General / Re: My Lagos: Their Abuja: There Is No Comparism by jayJR(m): 8:40am On Oct 09, 2010 |
He really seems not to understand what a capital city means, how do you think abuja will be if the cost of a 3 bedroom apartment in maitama is 350k? How much do you get liquor in new york or london clubs?n if he got all what he claimed to have in lagos n still not ok with that,, may God help you |

I schooled in lagos( BSc and Masters) n I ll tell you Lagos is social and fun but Abuja is a relatively sane city!!, by the way what is your occupation? Relying on politicians in power? We don't pray that works, we pray for an ideal city n needless I say either u re telling some lies or u re greedy,, getting tired of all "those" Abuja has never been known for all socials so what do you want? |

Politics / Phcn Strike, Who Do You Blame by jayJR(m): 2:51pm On Aug 27, 2010 |
A lot of us here are just so insensitive and unguided as to who to hold accountable for our conditions, First Ineed someone to give me a logical answer to the question ' why is the F.G.N Never willing to honour their agreements unless they re forced to via a strike action?' same time last year it was A.S.U.U this time around its PHCN. We all rain abuses on nepa officials and in the end we forget they ought to be regulated not by me or u but by some corrupt leaders who are in coalition with them top PHCN officials, in the end the scape goats are the regular workers at phcn who are willing to do theri jobs but their hands are tied. If there is poor power generation or failed /fake power contracts who do you blame? common people what is the job function of a minister for power and steel?, Its a cool thing to get very angry when services of a country are down but lets try to I.D where to point accusing fingers, I do not know any body working in phcn but from my findings the real problem, is , from the very top of this administration! |
