Interesting ! Nigerians are "weirdly wired" . |
Do we need OPEC to tell us we need more refineries ? |
Are there still counselors / course advisers in colleges ? Instead of quitting or graduating with 3rd class, you can retake all your 300 level classes, get better grades and boost your GPA. It's like willingly carrying over all your courses. Also, you stand a better chance of getting better grades if you stay in same school rather than going to a new school. If the above is not applicable in your school, then I suggest you apply and get admission to another university first. If possible, finish your current degree and enroll in your new school. |
No married man is above temptation. Yes, you will be tempted even after marriage. Some secrets to remaining faithful: - Stay completely away from all ex-girlfriends (cut all contacts) - Consider how you would feel if your wife cheats on you - Weigh the consequences of being caught - Make conscious effort not to initiate an extra marital relationship - Be content with your choice (your wife) |
Let the blame game continue... blame your predecessors & successors, blame Bola Ige, blame the oil companies. I hope OBJ will someday take full responsibility for himself and members of his cabinet's actions/decisions during his 8 years of wasted regime. By the way, price of crude oil in 1999/2000 was $17/$27 per barrel and not $9. |

PhD degree is not a certification of intelligence. It only takes the knowledge of an aspect of a singular discipline to obtain a PhD. A PhD holder in Sociology for example would definitely not know how to solve the least Calculus problem. GEJ does not have a PhD in management or "governance" so his PhD degree should not be a subject of reference when trying to castigate his style of leadership. |
Consult a doctor. Go to the nearest hospital... |
Op, she deceived you...clearly understood. But how did she force you into marrying her ? Kindly shed more light. |
Truth...you are not likely to get a job (in your field) in Nigeria. If you still want to go to school, consider re-applying for another HND program with your OND result. Or, look for a profitable business to engage in. |
I agree with the reasoning of prof. Soyinka. We have a govt. (especially legislators) that are insensitive to their responsibilities. The barrier has been identified but nobody is willing to take the necessary step(s) to rectify the situation. The first professor of Mining Engineering in Nigeria (currently at FUTA) started with a HND in Mining Engineering. He defied all odds to attain the highest level of academics because he was given a level playing field in another country. BSc - HND discriminatory issue has been on since as long as I can remember, over 20 years. The people that know what to do have either refused or have been frustrated by the lackadaisical attitude of the relevant authorities. |
There is a high tendency for friends to grow apart over time. It is also very likely for childhood friends not to be on the same reasoning level due to financial class difference. Definitely, one would see it as abandonment. |
I have been married 13 years and stopped wearing my wedding ring since our first year of marriage. I hate rings, chains and any form of jewelry. Use of wedding ring is a western culture (it's not even biblical). It doesn't add or remove anything from your marriage. If the lady in question decides to take off her ring because her husband removed his, then I say "all well & good". So long as they remain faithful to each other. |
