Music/Radio / Re: FM Radio Presenters In Nigeria In the 1980s, '90s And Early 2000s by Jayson504(m): 4:22pm On Aug 23, 2023 |
Good old days. I actually listened to radio Alot while growing up, at some point I knew literally all the radio stations in lagos lol. Used to listen to Radio continental which is now Max fm, listened to Wazobia Fm, Rainbow Fm, Top radio, Cool fm, and. I'll never forget classic Fm 97.3. I used to tune into that radio station literally every night just to listen to some old school jams from 80s and 90s. Lol good old memories. |

Romance / Re: Nobody Wants To See You Succeed In Life Be Careful. by Jayson504(m): 2:26pm On Jul 29, 2023 |
This is kinda true, but then I feel it depends on your circle and the kind of people you relate with. There are actually people that would genuinely want to see you win and succeed without being parasitic, and there are also people that won't be happy when they know that you're doing better than them. It's just human nature, and that's how the world works. 4 Likes |

Education / Re: If You Want To Be Able To Speak English Fluently, Then Do This: by Jayson504(m): 1:35pm On Jul 28, 2023 |
One of the best ways to be extremely fluent and eloquent in English is by watching American or English movies with subtitles. Trust me, you'll pick up new words thereby increasing your fluency and vocabulary in English, and grasping those words would be a piece of cake. In all you do, make sure you avoid Nigerian movies like a plague. 1 Like |

I agree with all you just said. Medical school is a different ball game on its own. You just reminded me of my preclinical days, the sleepless nights, the days where we had to read like our life depended on it, the lectures, the practicals, and the days of the dreaded 2nd MB professional exam. it's something I'll never forget. |

To be honest, this doesn't make any sense to me. The Nigerian health sector is in absolute shambles, and it keeps deteriorating everyday. If the work space for medics in Nigeria isn't a mess, they wouldn't nurture the idea of travelling abroad to practice. This is one of the reasons why brain drain would continue in Nigeria among health practitioners. 2 Likes 2 Shares |
