Car TalkRe: Drive Light Blinking by jbellzz: 12:55am On Jan 18, 2024
A few people have mentioned changing the gear oil. Please what is the right transmission fluid for Honda Civic 2006

jbellzz:
Hello. I am currently experiencing this issue with my 06 civic. The D light keeps blinking. I have checked and tried to swap/change the following during the troubleshooting :
1. Engine coils
2. Fuel Injector Sensor
3. Gear box sensors (2)
4. ABS Socket
5. ABS box
6. Brainbox
7. Fuse Box (Internal and External)
Still no solution. Can anyone recommend further steps or action to take on this.
This makes my car not transmit well on the road, and sometimes it misfires. I want to be sure it is not an electrical fault before taking the hard decision of changing the gearbox entirely. My number remains 09096777544

Car TalkRe: How I Was Able To Stop "Belt Cutting" Wahala In My Honda Civic by jbellzz: 12:47am On Jan 18, 2024
Dear All, thanks for your inputs. The fix I think that worked for me is changing the power steering pump because the old one kept shifting and grinding the belts. I also did some threading and welding of the seat of the power steering pump. Though I am still watching it, the belt has not cut for two weeks now. I also tactically reduced the belt picking to 5 lines as seen in the car I got the new power steering pump from. I learnt this issue usually occurs when a wrong AC compressor is installed in the 06 civic. So if you are experiencing this issue, it's most likely from the AC compressor or power steering pump. Lastly check all the pulley rubbers to be sure engine oil is not leaking from any one onto the pulley system.

I thought it was spiritual o. At a point when i see people drive my kind of car I will stop them and ask them if the had such experience. Their responses were 'NO'. So I thought it was spiritual.
Mine is Honda Civic 06.
Check the diagram I uploaded and see the correct way to fix the belt. Also buy Belgium belt not new belt.

I was told by olaboyeh that the problem is perculiar with the Honda Civic 06

Hello @AbelAbdul I am currently experiencing this exact same problem with my Honda civic 2006. I'd try buying the 2160 belt you mentioned. I've also changed adjuster and now on the verge of changing the power steering pump. I am really considering selling the car as this is the most pressing issue I have with it. My number is 09096777544. Pls feel free to reach me on WhatsApp with any other recommendations. I'm really frustrated
