Hope say no be only me be FUTMINNA student here that has not check his own. I dey ondo state presently and planning to enter minna on thursday.

jreyez: I'm all about android devices... So it depends on your cash at hand...

Here's the simple fact - Mtk devices (MediaTek processors) devices don't last longer.... Devices like tecno, infinix, gionee, itel... ETC, they usually develops fault due to cheap processors that's been used to produce them... That why they are cheap phones.

on the other hand, if you have the money go for a non-mtk device like Nexus, Samsung, htc, Sony, Motorola.. Etc.

Save your self from frustration of calibration, bricking and all that... Those usually comes from mtk devices.., believe me most people comes to my office with tecno devices coz of calibration problem.....

So think twice... Before making your decision

Guy! , comot gionee from the list, Gionee p2 came with cortex not mediatek and some latest one uses snapdragon.

Pls i need a phone with at least 4.0 inches screen, good battery, am not a gaming type, so i think 512meg ram and above should be ok. But i love flashing custom rom. My budget is 18k. Or should i just go for tecno p5 and forget cusrom rom?

Nice thread. Thanks to the OP for creating a thread like this. I have once love to be a web developer but left it for desktop and mobile app development. I learn vb.net and java, and I have done some app for desktop and only one simple app for android. I have been working under my uncle who is a electrical electonics engineering to develop some app, so I havn't gotten an external job mysef.
But now I wish to add web development to my know.

koder_Neptune: I need your help my fellow Nairaland JAVA programmers. I am working on an Hospital Management Solution, and I'm using Derby Database for my database. I have made the connection and it was successful and now that i want to create a table to store some information, it is complaining that Conglomerate (129) does not exist.

Note I'm using the JAVA DB (Network) since the application will be a server client thing. Please I really need your help as fast as possible.

Am an intermediate programmer in java, I do work with mysql but recently move to java derby. I have done an app successfully with java derby and it work well.

Danyl: it cant b like dat brother. if u r using jdbc transactions statements u should use APP.login_table if login table is ur database table u r 'selecting' from. remove dos quotes. n btw u hvnt posted ur codes here for ppl to c wer u got it wrong n for ur information if u get it ryt, n u r using netbeans it might still not retrieve anything into d resultset object but it will later on as u try it. I hv experienced dis many times but it works eventually.

Thank bro! It does work for me that way. I tried the APP.login_table but it did not work. It only work when I put it as APP."Login_table" . So the code will be like this

Statement = "SELECT * FROM APP.\"login_table\" WHERE ......" .

naija_swag: Paste your code here to make things easier for folks to debug and help you. The app.login_table refers to the table. You Don't enclose the table name and leave out the schema. Use escape character to put the quotation marks

It will be this form
App.\"login_table\"

The correct one is app."Login_table".
But the problem is how will I put app."login_table" in the SELECT command with the doble quote.
i.e app."login_table"

naija_swag: If you had pasted your code here, maybe it will be easier for folks to deal with your problem spot on. However, I will assume that you have written your code correctly, the bug might be ambiguous statement in assessing your table. Remember that you create a schema in your mysql before filling it database objects. So when accessing an object in a schema, affix the schema name. What I mean is that your "login_table" should explicitly have the schema name in the statement. Example: school.login_table. Now if you are using persistence frameworks, you set this property in the xml persistence file. What you are basically telling your jdbc driver is to go to that particular schema and find that table. At this point it must exist.

I have been using mysql but decise to start using java derby for my desktop app.
I have created the database , the table and the derby.jar is in the library folder.
I write a loggin code to connect to login_table in the database, but the error I always receive is
Table/view "login_table" does not exist. Pls what is d cause d problem?
