I submitted my application in January… and in March they called me for interview. Over 2 months.
I met with the consular general (a Brazilian).
Before the interview date, I searched for him on google, and checked out his social media pages… so I’ll know what to expect.
If he was strict. Lol
I wore shirt dress, and heels (showed up smart) !
They took me to the board room.
And this man surveyed me from head to toe.
He kept his eyes gazed at my tummy.
He asked what I was going to do, and why I was going.
I told him for tourism.
And that every year I vowed to visit a different continent from the previous ones I had gone to.
And since I had been to Asia, Arabian countries and had enough of Africa… I wanted to see South American.

He began to advice me, then he told me there’s pandemic killing over 10,000 ppl daily in Brazil.
He also told me he contracted Covid, and that was why my application was delayed… because they had to close their office. He told me not to go.
But I insisted I’ll like to go.
Then he said if I insist, I should meet with the embassy staff , and reapply with a later date. I.e i should change my travel my date, because the date I told them I was traveling had passed.

So I reapplied and changed the date to May.
Note; they didn’t charge me anymore visa fee.
They used the previous one.
But I need a new flight booking.
Changed hotel reservation. Etc
Like a new application.
It was frustrating, after waiting since dec

not yet, submitting tomorrow, that's why I'm asking how many days to get a response from d embassy

Thanks @openpeace, does anyone has idea of how long I can get a response from the embassy after passport submission ? was told 21 days but that would be too long, is there an standardize processing just like U.K. whereby I can get a response within 1-2 weeks ?

Hi sandy, I tried booking hospital appointment and the hospital responded back today saying my wife should provide medical report, but don't know what kind of report it has to be maybe a report showing she's healthy or there's a complication ?
