Please that person is not an engineer. He doesn't know what he's saying. Your phone ain't suffering from IC fault. Please collect it from him before he damages it. IC comprises of elements that are inseparable and interconnected electrically in such a way that the IC cannot be separated. It basically contains different semi conductors, diodes and transistors.

Now, ask yourself if the problem with your phone as you stated in your first post is related to that?

Your best bet is what others have told you. That phone needs to be flashed via EDL mode and I'm certain those road side engineers don't even know what that means.

Take it to another place and flash it. The firmware is on the internet.

By the way, this recent update na real wa.... Real peace of mind scammer.... I did the update o, after doing it, na when I begin see the original nwii.... The phone was just comfortably rebooting on its own.... Never staying on..... It did it for almost 3hours, till it went to self autoreset. My chairmen, I had no other option o, I had to use the volume and power keys for navigation and selection, cos screen don go sabbatical... I had to click on the reset... I lost ALL MY DATA.... CONTACTS, BOOKS, PICTURES MESSAGES, EVERY DAMN THING. I was almost tempted to say I'm done with Redmi.... But it's actually hard to let go of true love. Btw, my phone is RN7. The phone now be like Virgin.... I had to start installing and downloading. It was painful. Abeg who had a bitter experience with this recent update Abi na only me.?

my dear am having same issues now. my RN5 have been hanging/lagging since morning. you have to hard press the power bottom to for it to come up which will lag immediately after. am so pissed now cos since 2 years i have been using the phone i haven't encountered such.

will have to factory reset as i have no other option

is there nobody selling RN5 accessories again??

Anyone using nano screen protector? Is it really working properly especially for scratches?

My dear the day i changed my Rn5 screen i was looking for a matching full screen guard for my phone so someone introduced the nano liquid screen protector, being that i wanted the best cos I don't need any scratches again i went for it at the price of 3k. After applying it i still put screen guard but it didn't cover the front camera.
Then after like a week i saw a crake on my phone and the funny part is its on the front camera that the screen guard did not cover. Now am asking wasn't the nano screen protector supposed to protect it. Am sad cos i can't even use my front camera, am even considering changing the screen again thereby making it the 3rd time i will do that.

For me e no work oo.

I made an order on AE which have arrived Nigeria since 12th of October as per tracking it. Since then i have been waiting for my local post office to give me a call which they haven't but I have been calling for the past 3weeks but they kept telling me it haven't arrived. Just on the 29th i got a mail that my package have arrived at my local post office, i still called but they said nothing for me. Tracking is showing failed delivery and later successful delivery where as i haven't received. Am just confused.

Once custom check your package you must pay custom fees. Yours is even cheap, some have paid 12K and above for items. Initially people thought it was illegal but Nipost posted officially about it.

So what's the evidence that custom checked and charged it??

Please house.. Anybody in onitsha that has been picking his/her package from the post office at New market road??.. Actually they called me yesterday that I have a mail in their office. I was supprised cos for over years my mail have been arriving at Obosi post office which is my local government postal office. When they called they asked me to come with 4300 to claim it.. I was annoyed i asked y cos i haven't been paying any dine before but only for their recharge card like 200, the woman said custom charged 2500 then to pick from their office is 1500 that its sent through EMS which wasn't specified on the shipment method.. I Equally asked them to send to my local government post office and she said anything sent through EMS must be picked from their office irrespective of your destination..
Please anyone with such experience here and advice on how to go about it cos the 4300 is much.. I told her that i won't pay that they should send it back to China. Also am expecting 2 mails now i don't even know the one they are calling me for.
