Tell him...smhh....we have fabulous arable land where almost anything grows...even in African countries without the kinda land that we have are doing better agriculture wise....furthermore, its not by a stroke of luck that we have River Niger and Benue and all the connecting baby rivers in Nigeria...very few countries in the world have what we have. Agriculture all the way. Not that i am running down technology, infact Science and Tech should be well invested into TheGoodJoe:
If you do not want to farm, leave it and do not try to discourage those who want to.
The investment and time line for a technological movement will not yield dividends soon. The farming movement will create immediate employment, drive down the dependence on imported foods and reduce the cost for foods.
Please, those who are ready to role their sleeves should make use of the opportunities now. |

Maple: Most would be glad if u share your infos here as many have done. Anyways, the use of hydroponic fodder should not diminish the importance of silage, which is a nutritious dry fodder with lots of fibres. Ruminants like cattles can not survive on hydroponic fodders alone, hence its important they are fed dry fodder or hay as well, perhaps even more. Hydroponic fodder should be used mostly as a feed supplement. I completely agree with you there Maple, the main objective of fodder grown via hydroponics is to ensue that nutritious green can be supplied all year round regardless of seasonal changes and also to maximize every square inch available. Bear in mind that fodder grown via hydroponics require high quality seeds and loads of them too on a regular basis. What is the advantage of growing these seeds vis a vis feeding them to the aninmals directly as seen in grain fed cattle? well, you tend to get to increase the weight of the seeds between day 0 and day 8 by almost 700% meaning you will be able to deliver more DM per kg body weight as opposed to just feeding seeds alone. Silage on the other hand ensures that you can trap as much freely available green and other feed sources/waste at a time when they are easily accessible i.e. peak cassava harvest, peak maize harvest etc i.e. ensures a timely storage of nutritious DM (dry matter) and CP (crude protein) in the time of plenty. |

The theatrics of TBJ combined with Chris Oyaks and Chris Okotie is enough to make me a full Ifa convert. But I believe there is God. The church has just been hugely perverted and pervaded with strange doctrines. |

Career › Re: Advice!!! MBBS Or Veterinary Med ? by jenkini(m): 11:12am On Mar 18, 2016 |
I a vet but human medicine is regarded as more prestigious. In terms of difficulty vet medicine is just as difficult if not more difficult. If you were my sister I will advice human medicine cos you get a better start career wise. If your father is rich I'll say go for veterinary medicine cos if he sets you up you can easily become independent as a business person. There are times I've wished I studied human medicine cos I've realized we are producing half baked doctors in nigeria and my knowledge as a vet I realize I am better at trouble shooting than a regular medic. medics are trained to follow protocols we vets are trained to think out of the box. In general we make better doctors, but from a career point of view in Nigeria I still advice you go for human medicine if you not brave enough to enter an uncharted territory |

avicky: Back to topic. There should not be time table for sex It should be as the spirit leads
It can be in the car, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, balcony. Variety is the spice of life. It should be spontaneous and not restricted to a particular time. I hear you but frankly one has to make a conscious attempt to have sex especially when one has toddlers who refuse to sleep on their rooms |

Education › Re: University Admission: Ijmb (a Level) As The Best Alternative To Jamb by jenkini(m): 7:38am On Jan 05, 2016 |
UI also accepts it, or let me say accepted it in the past. I got into UI (Ibadan) with 10 points for veterinary medicine and another friend 15 points for Medicine but that was in 1997/98. We were the only two chaps from my IJMB kwara poly centre that got into UI at the time. olumideaeo: I've managed pages on this forum site some years back about the IJMB Programme, but decided to open this thread in this section because of the changes that has taken place in the IJMB programme. Are you tired of writing JAMB each year to qualify for University admission, Start IJMB now and go straight to 200level in most Universities both home and abroad.
Candidates seeking admission into Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) Examination must possess five (5) ordinary level credit passes in relevant subjects including English Language. For candidates pursuing courses in Sciences, Engineering, Management and Social Sciences, credit pass in Mathematics is compulsory from any of WASC, NECO, GCE or NABTEB obtained at not more than two sittings.
This is to inform all those intending to go into ijmb programme that they are so many fake ijmb centres in town. Some are determined to collect your money without giving any lectures while some want to issue out fake results. I really mean what i am saying. I will say patronize the really genuine ones and ask for advice about how to make your year a more fulfilling one. I pray we all succeed and be fulfilled in all our endeavours.
ABOUT IJMB PROGRAMME.
This is a programme moderated by Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. It is designed to ameliorate problems of admission for candidates seeking admission into Nigeria University instead of JAMB.

The number of subjects a student can enter for is three (3) with respect to their chosen profession.
Mean While, candidates with deficiency in O’level English Language and Mathematics can also remedy these subjects by registering for the IJMB O’level Examination
