Religion / Re: Is It Wrong To Confront A Pastor Politely by jenkini(m): 10:04am On Mar 26, 2023
Mummytoo:
Good morning nlanders

Happy Sunday to u all

I'm eager to know if its wrong to confront a pastor, because all my life I hate going pastors for anything, something happened on Monday, I didn't know who else to talk to ....so I went to the alter to pray and met with my pastor, I explained what happened between my husband and I and he settled the matter sweetly . I was so happy to have peace and joy back in my marriage till yesterday (Saturday) pastor called me out of that plenty congregation and told d church everything including what my husband has been hiding for years, he even added more things that didn't even happen to the story😂. I was just quiet and respectful since I wasn't expecting him to behave like that.

He prayed for me and I just left, he started getting angry that I can't even praise for my healing me or dancing round, I was just shocked at everything happening I left to the backyard and later went in again.

Immediately I got home I told my husband how he's image has been tarnished in church for what he didn't do, we had a misunderstanding and pastor said he flogged me (that didn't happen)

Is it wrong to confront him....
Coz I will act like I'm going to testify and correct that wrong impression he said about my husband

Just one time experience with pastor is killing me like this
Time to leave the church sis. He isn’t a man of God
Education / Re: Lagos Government Shuts Chrisland School Over Whitney Adeniran’s Death by jenkini(m): 7:59am On Feb 13, 2023
Throwback:
Classic knee jerk reaction to a slumping death of a day student that happened at Agege stadium.

Very soon, even students' death in their parents house would result to a temporary closure of every school that child has ever attended, on the illogical pretext of investigating the death.

Just like the Nigeria Police, you arrest every living thing in the vicinity of a death, before establishing if the death was natural or homicide.

Chrisland should sue the Lagos State Government.

I beg to disagree sir. Yes she may have collapsed, she may even have had underlying issues, but Chrisland was lax regarding safeguarding. Such a school MUST have a standby ambulance for that day. If truly she fainted, or had a heart attack basic first aid measures that school ought to have provided could have saved the child’s life.

If it becomes a court case Chrisland cannot win. Infact, it becomes a precedence for school owners to compulsorily provide a functional ambulance on such days.

Better you get your facts right.

The head of the road tra sport management agency isn't Auxillary, but a PhD holder in fact.

Secondly, you can be smart Prof but not a smart technocrat or politician.

Thirdly, the 100 billion isn't a loan but a bond, which is sourced from private sector guys and will only be used when needed. FYI only organisations with good credit history can secure bonds.

This bonds are intended for use on infrastructural projects.

Oyo is targeting maximising the opportunity available to her and repositioning herself as a major economic hub in Nigeria.

Stay tuned.

Tough one bro.

i for say ignore her and try to catch her attention because that is what i would do but we are different. I want you to know its a common thing in marriages these days and you are not alone. Its a major cause of infidelity amongst a group of men.

Infidelity however is not the solution in your case cos you have the opportunity to but not utilizing it. Talk to her about it, i presume you have already, try to be romantic again as some folks have said. I wish you all the best but please dont entertain thoughts like shes cheating on you.

quote author=kennydotkom post=79928621]My wife has always denied me sex with her, though I know that whenever she is not in good mood, she won't allow me, but this has become frequent with her. Note that I work in another state but I come home every weekend in which I have all the privileges to have girls because I live alone.

I can decide not to come home on a weekend just to attend to other girls but I didn't. Many people often call me a pastor because my neighbor where I work has not seen me with girlfriend with all the freedom I have.

Sometimes she jokingly says that I so much like sex that she doesn't want to grow old fast because of sex. With just 2 or 3rounds am OK till next weekend oo.

HOW TRUE IS This? as for me I get satisfy whenever we have fun togeda such that I can wait till next weekend when I will return home from work.

She is not a working class type, so she does her business at home, no stress except to take care of kids. at time she complained of headache, tiredness, or even if I wake her up at around 4am when kids have slept, she will complain that why did I wake her up when she was dreaming. And if am forcing her, she will being to make noise that can wake the kids up.

Here in my place of work in abeokuta I have all the reason to sleep with other girls, in which I have told my wife herself that my conscience cannot judge me if I do, because with little time I spend with you, u often turn me down and mostly she never initiate sex with me except she is extremely happy but very rear.

I don't know who to report her to .i just don't want to flirt around because of fear of God and love I have for my kids. We can go a month without sex, she is very OK with that, I told her that she had turn herself to just roommate. [/quote]

ges?
How long have you been in the marriage?
How long have you known each other?
What changes in sex partern have you noticed from the beginning till now?
When did she start having low sex drive?
Do you suspect she's seeing someone as a result of your job type?
Do you satisfy her other needs as a woman?

Answer these questions honestly and am sure you would find answers you desire.

She might just be passing through a phase in her life, soon the drive might appear.

I encourage you to adopt new and more romantic approach to making her desire you more.

Travel / Arik Air-a Totally Messed Up Airline by jenkini(m): 9:46pm On Jul 03, 2019
Dear friends,

I had a sordid experience with Arik Air on July 1 2019. I was booked for a 6pm Abuja to Lagos flight. I was checked in waiting to board by 16:45 already. By 17:30 I waited to hear my flight to be announced on the PAS but heard nothing. By 17:59 I walked towards the gate only to be told that my flight had gone and the plane was taxiing already. I was puzzled and confused but immediately headed back to the ticketing station to reschedule.

On arriving at the ticketing station , I met with about 10 other folks who also didnt hear the announcement and subsequently missed the flight. I started smelling a rat, we were all required to pay an extra fee of about #3000 to get boarded on the next flight at 20:00. Not having any other alternative i moved on to pay.

At 20:00 an announcement was made that the flight would be delayed for 30 minutes which later became 1 hour 30 mins. When the flight finally arrived it was announced that the flight scheduled for 21:00 would be leaving before us. That sparked an outrage, well we had no choice but resented to fate. A few minutes later we were called upon to come board.

This is where the story gets interesting.

The passengers that were scheduled for the 21:00 flight who had been carted away from the boarding gate ahead of us were now told yo comer board our aircraft seeing it was bigger.

We finally got on board and just when the pre flight announcements were being made we observed a foul smell, it smelt like burning wires...I raised an alarm immedidately. Just about then the switches went off and on a few times, immediately i stood up and yanked my back pack from the overhead carriage. A lady beside me beckoned on me to calm down..I calmly told her she was free to die if she so chose. I grabbed my bag and left the plane. As i was stepping out one of the cabin crew members tried to dissuade us from stepping down and assured us all would be well. At that point I remembered only the living can praise the Lord. I got my bag and got off the plane.

On getting off I met a lady on the tarmac who had just gotten off before me. She told me she overheard the one pilot telling the one taking over that there was a malfunction with the plane he was about to fly.

What irked me was, what if the plane did notshow any sign before take off but during take off or mid flight? Why would a pilot on being notified of a potentail fault allow people to board the aircraft? Why did cabin crew members despite the obvious fault deter folks from getting off the aircraft? Why did they combine two flights on one faulty aircraft, and leave the apparently functional one on the ground?

Well, we eventually got aboard the aircraft that was scheduled for the 21:00 flight and another drama ensued. One of the passengers had dropped off his boarding pass because he had assumed itbwouldnt be required any longer (he only had a hand luggage). The cabin crew member refused him further passage down the aisle and the passenger just refused to be treated badly. We all had to wait another 45 odd minutes before the aircraft finally took off.

Seeing that there were delays alreayfrom their side I would have expected that the crew would have used a manifesto to confirm the passengers details, rather, they made him get off the aircraft to go look for his pass. The crew members except the cabin crew supervisor looked irritated and acted very unprofessionally. This is not the first time I experienced unproessionalism with Arik Air's crew members. They had a set of nasty ones on the Johannesburg route that made me donate money to another countrys airline. How sad..

Finally, the aircraft that we flew, a 737-300 sounded like a propellar plane on the right flank. We were terrified and prayed through the entire journey.

It is my humble plea that Arik planes and services be throughly investigated and if possible grounded on the basis of gross misconduct and intention to waste lives.

If Saraki is desperate, what would you call Buhari? An old and miserable man who sought the presidency three good times and failed, and eventually sought power again and got it in his 70s, and now want another term to rule into his 80s even though he is clearly senile and has nothing to offer.

70s as we are made to believe.. I hear his younger sister is well over 85.

As regards desperation if you get close to any politician, most of them are desperate... even your VP makes desperate attempts to get notices when Sai Baba goes on his frequent trips...an obvious attempt to position himself as a smart man that we all know he truly is

Hahaha... Deny all you want. The Bible remains the only authentic word of God. Till tomorrow scientists are corroborating it. Achealogists are corroborating it. Prophecy made in it thousands of years ago are all perfectly playing out including the advent of your lying new deception. Show us the prophecies made long ago from your own book? Tell us! Declear it that we may know.

You listed fallen angels who are all in cohoot of what you are doing to tell us lies about our Father God. It will fail! Did the Bible not tell us about other gods who are not gods at all but fallen angels? So what point are you trying to prove, only that your attack is directed against the person of God almighty and our believe in Him. For your information, our God is not just a force, an it, a thing. Our God is a real person. It takes a real person with creative sense to create real things. Not a senseless force. See, your fantasy book is lacking logic. Hahaha...

If any man comes today to say that Muhammad Buhari is not the correct name of the president of Nigeria, contrary to what we all know, to say his name Buhari is non existent or belongs to another. Then we will know that the person you're referring to is not our president. That's what you are trying to do. But listen you will fail! Hahaha... You will so fail. You cannot conceal God at all, everyday more people are discovering Him. Tell your master that failure has never seen any height Like this one. Hahaha... Fallen angels looking for attention.

Hi I am a vet based in my experience as a vet if an animal is in shock the likelihood of gaining venous access is pretty slim, only when this occurs will I declare a case impossible. Even in such instances I try subcutaneous or intra peritoneal, these routes are usually slower but I hang on hope and try my best.

I will assume this case was handled with the usual degree of negligence we experience in Nigerian hospitals. This woman was conscious at the time she came in as confirmed by the author, she made coherent statements. She was also said to have died several hours after she came in. My question is, was she treated as an emergency case the moment she was diagnosed? My response based on how my dad was treated in a state hospital is probably not. Consultants take their time to respond, and their registrars (consultants in training) have to follow due process and protocol before they can proceed. This time interval usually may take hours in Nigeria.

Back to the basics, the longer a case of sepsis goes untreated the more complex the condition gets. The bacteria in the wound keep growing exponentially 1<<2<<4<<8<<64 imagine the growth rate. If it's a toxin producing bacteria which it likely is imagine the rate toxins will be produced. This is what eventually causes the shock that shuts down the organs.

The simple procedure is to give fluids the moment the patient gets into the ward to dilute off the toxins and concurrently administer a broad spectrum antibiotic. Next stage is to culture the bacteria should a more specific antibiotic be required.

Our emergency medicine should be better improved in Nigerian hospitals.

IamaNigerianGuy:

He did not put a call across to ask which drugs to administer. He called his senior colleagues to discuss management options in a complicated case. There is a big difference. This is acceptable practice everywhere in the world.

From his description of the case, the woman had SIRS (sepsis). Death commonly follows this condition even in the best equipped medical centers in the world.
So get your facts straight.
