Sorry about the itchy nipples.

I used a lanolin based cream which helped alleviate this for me. The brand is lanisoh. You can try it, should be available in any pharmacy.

Hope this helps!!!
Thanks alot

Good day docs. I'm a FTM. I gave birth to my DS on 11th of May. I have an issue and don't know if anyone has gone thru this. After I put to bed, I experienced the normal postpartum bleeding (lochia) and it stopped after 6weeks. Thereafter like a week later, I started bleeding.. I tot it was aunt flo visiting only for the bleeding to become extremely heavy (like filling one pad in less than 30 mins). I went to my doctor and a scan was done to check if there was any retained placenta and there was none. I was given injections and the bleeding subsided only for it to start again after 24hours. I went back and i

2days) the bleeding stopped and I just kept spotting

time I didn't spot at all for about 3 days.... but now I

My sister, I was about asking the same question. Mine is not slimy but it smells like stale period pad. I was asked by my doctor to carry out HVS, I haven't gotten the result yet. I'm 6 weeks postpartum.

Please my DS's leg is swollen after immunization and he's got fever. I've given paracetamol and I haven't massage d injection site. Please should I apply anything?, if yes. Please what?
I used Shea butter on my DS leg wen the swelling didn't go down on time. Don't massage it wen putting d Shea butter just rub it gently. Under one day the swelling came down.

Maybe you should try and simulate night time for your LO. Though that could be a bit hard, pull the curtains down perhaps and ensure everywhere is really quiet!

if h/she wakes up does he/she cry? maybe you can leave the child lying down in peace if not crying....

avoid doing any activities around/in the same room baby is sleeping in the afternoon too.
Lol. Thanx mama
Hope these helps....

If not free the pikin abeg cheesy

at least yours sleeps during the day...that was my baby not too long ago...you put her down 10 mins she is awake...except you are carrying her...then at night every 2 hours

but one day she just flipped and started taking 3 hours day time nap and 12 hours straight sleep at night...

try minimizing noise, swaddling, thats wrapping well in a blanket to give the illusion of being carried, you can try low music as well

but just know that THIS TOO WILL PASS
thanx dear

Normally, the problem is the other way round...i.e Mothers needing advice on how to get their LO to sleep at night. Your baby might just not be much of a sleeper and would rather be active.
thx ma

Its good to finally port to this thread, my baby is 5days old and finally getting a grab of so many things i've read here. I was given multivitamins and ampicillin drops for my baby but i'm confused on why she will need it cos there was no complains about her didnt check the drugs b4 we left the hospital and cant go back to the hospital for now. Pls i jst want to know if anybody has had to use the drugs on a newborn and under what circumstances.
My LO was also given those drugs. The multivitamin is to help ur LO's immunity and antibiotics is to help fight infections. But the antibiotics shld be administered for only 7days or so. Ask ur doc to b extra sure. But it's normal that ur LO is given those drugs tho

Have u tried playing Barney and nursery rhymes?. Oh my! Those are my saving grace. My LO can go 2-3 hrs without disturbing me when he watches them. I used to have the same problem before i started doing that. Now, i'm free to do anything. I even take a short nap . All i need to do is put him on his rocker and play the CD. He cries only when he poops or he's hungry cos he doesn't joke with food. Try it!
How old is ur LO pls?
