Brethren, IRCC Abuja have become a thorn in my flesh. I have finally discovered that my SOWP application is lying with them for processing.

My spouse and kids are already in canada studying, since 2023.

I applied for SOWP on November 25, 2023

I have a valid travel visa, and have visited Canada once.

But as I speak, SOWP eligibility is still pending. They have not even touched my application, but I see folks that applied in 2024 already getting PPR.

I have sent emails and several webforms, I keep getting their generalised responses from IRCC kenya. Abuja office have not even bothered to respond to my emails, and they don't seem to have a specific webform page, unlike Lagos and Nairobi. I have run out of ideas on what to do. This is so so unfair. Please gurus in the house what else is left for me to do that I have not tried? I done pray tire. Please help me!

I sent my passport to Canada VAC in London two days back using Royal Mail and till date I haven’t gotten any confirmation email from the VAC. Please, has anyone faced similar issues? I read that I ought to receive a tracking number, how can I get a tracking number as I have not received a confirmation email from VAC. Do I have to reach out to the VAC directly?

I collected mine after 5 days without tracking number. Sometimes it’s an oversight. If it’s more than a week you can call or visit their office to check if it’s ready

My wife and kids got ppr for SOWP and Visit visa and submitted their passport on the 15th november for stamping , up till now they have not gotten feedback to pick up their passport, what might be wrong ?. i need assistance as i have already booked their tickets for december 4th

Good afternoon everyone. I have gotten my study visa approved but I will be resuming school in September 2024. This is so because my visa was approved late and there was no January or may intake for my school so I had to go for September 2024. Since I’m still around, is it possible to apply for my hubby and kids so we could just go together instead? If yes do I need to provide proof of funds for myself, hubby and kids or just proof of funds for only my hubby and kids since my visa has already been approved?

It depends on the bank account you are using as PoF for your hubby application. If it is the same account used for you, then there must be reference to your funding and that of his and anyone included in the application with that same account. This is standard.

You can only ignore your PoF reference if the account to be used for your hubby is entirely different from the bank account you used.

Don't be too smart to fall for their trap. Just your UCI or Application number they can reference all your documents submitted.

Please for someone who was supposed to start in September 2023 but had to defer to September 2024 due to delay in visa. Passport was stamped this October, is it compulsory to send IRCC the new September 2024 LOA that just arrived even after visa has already been stamped based on the initial LOA?

I expect that IRCC should know that by stamping the visa in October for a September 2023 program, the person will have to defer.

You are not required to use the same method for both ways. Your friend can collect it in person.

Hello my people,

A friend’s wife(applicant) and spouse (Open work permit) applications was denied yesterday for the reasons stated; 1. Your Assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel for yourself and any accompanying family if applicable.
2. You have not provided sufficient documentation to support your or your host’s income and assets.

Wife applied for 1year Postgraduate Certificate, tuition first semester is CAD10,560, second semester is CAD9,120 and total is CAD20,180, while CAD1,500 deposit from first semester been paid.
They provided account worth 47m naira.

Although, the statement of account provided was 4months. Could the 4months statement of account submitted had raised the flag?

I was a picky eater right from birth. So while my siblings and cousins were big I was smallish but you need to see me now. I can finish one big pot of rice and still be crying for food. I am surprised at the change of my appetite after giving birth. Something is always in my mouth and I am trying to control it because I'm over 100 kg from 60kg.

Greetings mamas
So few weeks ago I posted that my baby was weighing 1.25kg at 30 weeks though my Dr said it wasn't something to worry about as I had 10 more weeks to go. I actually had a bike accident at 30 weeks and was admitted for some days. Last week d Dr discovered intra-uterine growth restriction (IUGR) weighing 1.9kg at 34weeks. I was told to keep eating healthy while they continue monitoring me with Doppler scan.

Finally relocated to Benin, only or me to register yesterday @ Ubth and was given a shocker of my life. baby is still measuring 30 weeks at 35 that's 5 whole weeks behind. Dr here said its possible the accident affected the placenta hence insufficient nutrients supply to the baby
I've been asked to do a repeat Doppler scan, that will determine whether to induce me at 37weeks or not
I've really been down. I never expected the journey to turn out this way. My bump is no longer growing pls mamas say a word of prayer for my baby I so need a miracle right now
