If u are wealthy n established in Nigeria, I see no reason why u should relocate. because if u do, ur standard of living will most likely drop.
But comparing nigeria to any developed country makes no sense in all ramifications.
Ordinary road traffic accident can mess u up in that country...despite all your money. Even ur President wouldn't trust his health with nigerian hospitals.

Btw the op comparison of dollar earning to naira spending is very foolish. That goes to show his level of i.q
I don't agree with the OP on many points.

But just as accidents happen here...also school shootings, cinema shootings etc. Also happen there..I mean even accidents.

How many people do accidents kill on a daily in the suburbs in Nigeria? No where is perfect. Its just the wealthy sometimes have a better way and some opportunities to live better and avoid things that the poor go through on a daily.

And if they have health issues, they jet out if they like. But many of these people still usually come back. Because they feel Nigeria isn't too strict on many things for them.

There you go again with your factual inaccuracies. Which Nigerians? How do you know this? Because someone told you? Did you experience this 1st hand? An argument has to be critical in order to come to a logical conclusion. All I'm hearing are assumptions, wishful thinking, and conjectures.
Mumu question...I first said I know someone (a girl)..then also said others...then mentioned a future in law of mine and also mentioned myself in previous posts.

You're talking assumptions.

Lol some of you on this Nairaland are funny I observed. In a bid to try to sound intelligent, you guys employ words like "logical conclusion" "factual inconsistencies" "assumptions" "conjectures" e.t.c without even knowing when to apply those terms and what they even mean. Do you think you are a scientist now or a professor grin

Your sentence was not even grammatically correct based on the points you were arguing against.

You don't use the words "factual inaccuracies" and "assumptions" and "conjectures" to argue against someone's experience. Neither do you try to employ strawman tactics if you want your debate to be logically correct.

Also, "many" is not equal to "All"...I said I know many people people...I never said All Nigerians. I even have Nigerians enjoying and living better lives in the U.S. I personally do not like the U.S anymore as I use to. Thays my preference. I must not bow to you or people who assume U.S is heaven on earth.

I prefer other countries I would love to move to soon. And that is because I am a lover of adventure and beautiful nature with sane people. Not everything is money, money.

Your argument is not logical. What is the point of a handful of people enjoying life when millions are suffering? And how is people not complaining a good thing? It just means they've become used to suffering which is worse. And why would it favor me? I'm a normal human being. I will never allow myself to get used to a country like Nigeria. Tufiakwa.
Do you have comprehension issues at all?

I have noticed that with a lot of people here.

Did I say or advise Nigerians to go back to Nigeria. I gave an example of someone and also some people who enjoy Nigeria better.

Understand this, some people have valid reasons..okay?

No one is arguing about masses suffering. If you are suffering leave for a better place. Shikena.

Many Nigerians are even suffering in the U.S and would love to come back but they can't. Whether you believe that or not is up to you.

And i have 2 close colleagues that are in US. I asked them how racism is over there and they said its not as we think it is and they would never return even if covid20 wants to kill them there...your female friend was obviously bored and got no attention from anyone there and will prefer to come to naija were she can be hailed and given the attention she thinks she deserves
See as you jumped to conclusion.

You mentioned only two friend's..where do they stay? Is it Chicago or Texas? A Republican state or a Dem state?

You don't sit down and conclude for everyone because of two friends who never jam better problem yet. Just like southerners that didn't care much about the insurgency in the North but now are starting to feel the heat as it is closing up on them.

Many U.S citizens have been reported recently of leaving states like California because of racism and riots. Even a friend of mine married to my babe's sister wants to move from the mumu Dem ruled state he is in to Canada.
I speak on people who have something to lose not people who are still feeding from Mommy and Daddy.

My comment was on a minority and a friend as an example. I never said U.S is more terrible than Naija. Although in some aspects, one would wish he had remained at home.

No be only attention. You don't make arguments on sentiments. Facts don't care about your feelings.

Lol. I don't know about you but I prefer not to live in a country where if I call the police they'll probably show up or decide not to show up at all. Where I have to turn on a generator in order to have power. Where cattle herders are more powerful than the police. Where the police can stop me at anytime to demand bribe. Where people don't pay tax that would help them maintain their own country. Where when 2 people get in an accident they prefer to slug it out on the street instead of calling their insurance company. Where If i'm sick, i'm phucked. etc. Need I say more? And you are naming one state where you can enjoy meanwhile you will enjoy in all 50 states in America. And just so you know, your 200k in Nigeria is like 2k in the U.S. By the time you pay for your own power, road access, security, unchecked inflation, etc please tell me how much is left?
Bros...my post did not disagree with you. All i said was for a minority.

There are people enjoying all the things you complained about In the country. That's my point.

People who live in estates were there are security..24/7 lights etc. In Nigeria don't complain like the average Nigerian.

There are even white people who even enjoy your country more. And they even complain of their own country. I had one work it us at my former place.

Because it doesn't favor you does not mean it doesn't favor others.

I am one to even tell people, travel out if you feel you aren't getting ahead in the country.

Son, never ever try to lecture me about the United States.

This thing still subscribes to the old philosophical idea that Nigeria is a wealthy country, a near failed state.

The same country that spend just a little above 30B USD to run it affairs, a country of about 200M people.

The fact that you are just getting by in that country and you look a lil bit better than millions does not mean everyone likes to live like that.

And yes the US like to develop it economy and they don't really need money from your 'elite' because all the resources they had will almost be equivalent to nothing in the states, South Korea, Germany and our allies are doing just that.

Besides Saudi is pouring billions to support jobs in America the magnitude poor countries like yours will only realize in 10 years selling hydro carbon.

You seems to over estimate the significant of that country and the people who refer to themselves as rich, maybe it blind optimism or stupidity or sheer ignorant who knows ??
Oga go sit down abeg.

Maybe you just want to argue for argument sake by pointing things that I never inferred.

I can actually lecture you on the disparities between the U.S and Nigerian economy.

I never (for your comprehension) ever said Nigeria economy was better and favorable for everyone. I only pointed out a minor instance.

Please go back and reread my previous comment. Because you are already talking off point. And like i pointed out not everyone is all about money.

Besides, how much do many rich people have in the U.S compared to the elites in Nigeria? Who are the people buying many expensive properties in Dubai and U.K? How much does a governor have here compared to a governor in the U.S? Have you been to the embassy to see how they are willing to grant VISA'S to rich elites for their investments over in their country? Have you been to the North to see how people spend money there?

Saudi has only a minority stake of investments of nearly 10billion in the U.S and you are busy screaming with false info. How much is that compared to the whole U.S?

Sayonara.

See as you dey contradict yourself. You agree that poor people should migrate but at the same time you argue that living standards are better in Niggeria. If its so much better and so kind why are the poor ( and even the rich) willing to go and face racism and heavy taxation there?
?
Still I ask and you must give me my answer
See how in am effort to try and justify your false narratives you create a strawman Argument.

When for goodness sake did I say standard of living is better in Nigeria for everyone.

Please if you have comprehension issues stay of this argument.

There are many people who have been and live in the U.S that agree with what I earlier said.

No matter how insane the US is it can never be as insane as a lawless shithole where nothing works.
A second class citizen in the US lives a far better quality of life than some big men in Niggeria.
You keep talkingnof this many people yet if I probe it will be one or two people you happen to meet.
I believe in facts backed by statistics. Mathematics dont lie. One plus one is 2 anywhere you go. You may not like it but it is what it is.
Its not a coincidence when you see long ass queues outside embassies of countries like US and UK

Why are there no such crowds outside the embassies of countries like Eritrea and Somalia?

Of the people leaving the country How many of them really come back? When you calculate numbers of those who go and stay vs those who go and come back what is the ratio? You havent answered that one you are telling me about "some people".
You are talking of holidays as if Niggerians take holidays.
Go to all the popular vacation spots around the world you will hardly see Niggerians there even in the peak of summer.
Mr. Man what are you saying? And why are you arguing off point?

My comment you first quoted was based on those who are wealthy in the country of which I know many. And who couldn't care for moving to the U.S. Just like I also don't care like many of you.

I also said, there is nothing bad in someone uncomfortable moving out of the country. There are obviously more poor people in Nigeria than the rich. Why won't the embassies be full?

And your statement on second class citizens living far better than wealthy people in Nigeria just shows your sentiments not founded on reality and facts. What are they enjoying..lol...come Abuja first make I show you something...no be all these fake mathematics talk you dey yarn. How many wealthy Northerners or Igbo people do you even see running to go live abroad?

Is it not the abroad people visit anyhow?

Because you haven't met or don't know people.. doesn't mean others do not know.

There are also people who I know want to come back...but they can't because they have no worthy investment in Nigeria. And because they have valid reason of wanting to do so.

So when I see people abroad who write topics here on Nairaland about how they prefer Nigeria to the U.S and you ppl abuse them, I just shake my head.

Abeg leave mata.

And you can say that confidently. I fear una I swear. You do realize why taxes exists right? And I hope you realize why Nigeria is still in the 5th century when it comes to infrastructure. Lastly, there is no instance where Nigeria is better than Ghana not to talk of the U.S.
I believe a millionaire in Abuja enjoys his money better than someone earning over 2000k dolls in the U.S.

Even citizens recently are complaining of the new tax policies by the new administration. What do you want to enjoy there that you can't enjoy in a place like Abj? Is it light, road e.t.c.

Everyone has their own preferences. Not everyone has to think like others who see the U.S as heaven.

When I make my examples I use saner places in Nigeria not places and slums like lagos.

Im glad you used that anology. If the person has another job shey? So you will agree that the reason most Niggerians have not fled that hell hole is because of the difficulty in the process of leaving. I tell you if a slave ship was to dock today at the ports of Lagos. They wont need to force anyone. That ship will sink becuase of the load.
The rich you talk of who prefer to live in that hell hole do so because they wont get that type of easy money nor the opportunity to exploit people the way you the poor have allowed them do in Niggeria.
1. You can tbe flaunting money and cars with no source of income there.
2. Even if you have the means no one will stop what he is doing to be admiring you except you are a celebrity.
3. You cant use the fact that you have money to exploit people anyhow. You hire one person to be your security man, your laundry man, your gardener, your cookamd at the eng of the month you pay him whatever you feel like paying him.
Well, that's your own negative point of view.

Not everyone exploits people and not everyone wants to leave the country. And not everyone sees it as a hell hole.

Many people do not even want to raise their children in the U.S because of how insane the place has become.

Not everyone wants to be a slave and second hand citizen in another man's country because they want to decive themselves with so called making it.

If you think everyone exploits, you should change your circle.

U.S is vacation for me (even though I prefer other countrie)...not a place to put my tent. I detest the mentality of the average Joe in Dem cities. Rasing a kid there will be a no for me.

that she chooses to come back to Niggeria doesnt mean living in Niggeria is better. Its her choice.. lets look at statistics. What is the number of people actually leaving and not coming back versus the number of of people leaving and actually coming back ( like your friend) ?
Of course I have other questions I would like to ask her but let's start with the bolded
Living in Nigeria is better in many instances. And because people don't come back as much does not mean they wouldn't like to.

It's just like someone in Nigeria at a job they hate and they complain about constantly but yet don't leave because of fear or inability to get a better one. And people then ask them why don't they leave that job.

This was why I made the last statement in my earlier comment.

Many would prefer U.S as a vacation spot but as for daily living and interactions and freedom, people would prefer their home country.

That's why many comfortable and rich people live in Nigeria. Its mostly the uncomfortable that want to escape. And there is no problem in that.

Many people do not like the taxation, loneliness, racism e.t.c that they experience over there.

@bold, Even your Bible will argue with you on that. Not to mention that it also commands you not to judge.
I know I said something about selective “true believers”.
You didn’t understand that because here you are displaying it full glory. Blatantly ignoring Jesus’ command admonishing us not to judge. True believer lipsrsealed

Also why is it easy for y’all to easily jump from homosexuals and make the connection to pedophiles when it’s clear that heterosexuals are the majority of sexual assaulters to both other adults and unfortunately to children as well.
Why don’t you jump from heterosexuality into pedophilia when you are making an argument?. Why concern homosexuals with a crime that is predominantly committed by heterosexuals?

You don’t see it makes no sense? For real? .
Lol...as usual liberals who don't know the meaning of judge and who take one scripture out of context.

Is it not the same Bible that also said we should judge?

And if that is your definition of judging then we shouldn't also tell them God loves them and they will go to heaven since that will also be judging. Abi you think judging is always negative grin

See scripture below jare. I wonder how telling people what God says is judging.
