I am a part-time silent reader here but I must say that the informations gotten from this forum really helped my success story. Thanks to everyone contributing here, God will attend to your needs. All the glory be to God.
The journey began February 2018 when I received my LOA from Cape Breton University, Nova Scotia to study post degree in public health (2yrs programme). The LOA valid for a year and I applied for visa march 2019 for may intake which was refused on April base on two reasons; 1) VO not satisfy that I will leave canada after my study base on my employment situation 2) VO not satisfy that I will leave canada after my study base on my family tie in canada and my home country
After the refusal, I paused and checked the documents that I submitted from there I discovered my mistakes which are; No Employmen Letter No pay slip No personal bank statements No work ID No leave letter No prove of family tie at all ontop of that am single, 32 yrs of age
Because of the pandemic, the university issued me a new LOA valid from May 2020 to May 2021
I started doing my underground preparation which took me 2yrs, I must tell you from the beginning of this journey I have been experiencing delay but God later turned it to blessings for me.
My Timeline Second time application Submitted March 17, 2021 NSE request dropped april 14 (replied with letter of proficiency from my university here in 9ja and my sponsor is my brother living in USA so he submitted his normal SOA for a year and reference letter from his bank)
Then long waiting period started I ordered for gcms note June 5 I reapplied for admission after my LOA expired June 5 and new one came a week later, submitted it through webform
Upfront medica June 22 Gcms note arrived June 24 (criminality passed, compliance required, info sharing with USA in progress because I was refused USA visa in 2017 and eligibility is blank)
Submitted my medical e-slip and some other docs through webform June 28 Medical updated to pass June 29 and eligibility review started together PPR and Correspondence Letter June 30 Documents Submitted All IRCC forms Clients Information International passport data page Birth Certificate LOA from cape breton university Tuition fee receipt (first semester) Personal SOA BSC certificate Vocational Certificate Employment Letter Employment Reference Letter Ngo reference letter Study leave approval letter Fiancee support letter Property Deed of gift from mother Mother affidavit of support Mother declaration of age Certificate from inter. organization

[quote author=Lianna2020 post=103207745]Soft landing gist I booked Ethiopian airline for 1:40pm. I said my final goodbyes and moved to the airport. I got there by 9:30 thinking I’m late because of the story I read here as per queue but there wasn’t any. They didn’t allow my husband to enter and I had to tip them 500. We proceeded to where they were suppose to check my bag but the woman asked for money n we moved to declare agricultural product, I had just one bag and I paid 2,000.
Welcome to Canada Lianna2020! at least you hear it from someone though not immigration officer this time.... that place funny lol! God will prosper you in Canada. |

Teemenzo: This is not about career progression. Animation is an important branch in Architecture, i have always loved it and want to focus on it squarely. No plans to progress in my studies in architecture. 13 years in architecture has been fun. My focus now is animation. I would have learnt it in Nigeria before leaving but most of it here is crap. And i learnt that diploma is more of practical, that's all i need in my life now. Less reading more doing. Career progression is not only when you have a bsc and going for master, to me is when you're acquiring new skills to develop yourself either educational or career wisely. I have seen a PhD that pursued bsc in another field and on case what you're is in line to your field. It just depend on how you can structure your SOP to convince the VO! My view! |

Officialksolo: Please I need a quick response on this. I'm sure you wanted to write September 2020 better still, it's not possible for you to be paying tax without TIN and you can't get TIN without CAC so using the docs is gonna be a red flag for you because ur tax shows 2018 while VAC shows 2020. |

phummy1821: Congratulations to you and your family![q1uote author=gugu40 post=101571624]Hello everyone. I have come to give thanks to God ooo!!!!! He deserves all the praise.
Just got the family ppr and visa (SOWP and 2 Study permit for the kids)
Special Thanks to all those that still keep this thread alive, A big thanks to @Frankrobbn1, @Justmellow, @justwise and @Akannitommy for the advice for my wife’s study visa application and my family’s visa application.
My wife got her study permit approved in November 2020 but she is still studying online here, waiting for the family to get our visa.
Na God ooooo, I want to use this platform take encourage people ooo. Age no be criteria to get study permit or SOWP because I and my wife don old ooo. We are over 40 and this na her third masters ooo.(She had done two Masters before). God can do it for anybody. Thanks.
Here’s my wife’s timeline :
Application: July 22 Biometrics request – July 23 Biometrics done – July 29 Medical Request: July 23 Medicals done – July 31 Medical Passed: August 1 BVL / Passport request: October 21 Passport submission: October 25 (Sent by Post) Passport posted back: 1st November
Family timeline 1
First Application(SOWP and 2 Study permit for 5 and 10 years old):
Application: November 15 Biometrics request for spouse – November 18 Biometrics done for spouse– November 25 Refusal for family– January 11
Refusal reasons:
1. based on travel history 2. based on my immigration status here 3. based on my family ties in Canada and in my country of residence.
I tried to get the GCMS notes from one of the online agents so as to get a better understanding on why we were refused but as fate would have it the agent sent me a mail that my order was delayed that IRCC sought an extension of 90 days beyond the statutory time limit of 30 days to process the request. This means it will take a total of 120 days.
I have a feeling that my refusal was based on my visa here; because it was to expire in one month on the day I saw the refusal email. So I waited for my office to renew my visa and with faith in God, I reapplied.
Second Application (SOWP and 2 Study permit for 5 and 10 years old):
Timeline for Family 2
Application: March 18 Medical Request for family: April 7 Medicals done for family – April 12 Medical Passed for children: April 12 Medical Passed for spouse: April 26 BVL / Passport request for family: April 29 Passport submission: April 30 (Sent by Post) Passport posted back: May 11 (Sent by Post)
Special Thanks again to @Frankrobbn1, @Justmellow, @justwise and @Akannitommy and other GURU’s for the advice they give on this platform God go bless una. Thanks. It ended in Praise. Congratulations to you and ur family! |
