Bros me, his destiny(to the best of my thinking) was to save camlot(especially arthur and the dad) from morgana(knowing fully well he is emrys the destined one to kill morgana), but he foolishly spared her till she killed arthur(through modred) and the king. GOT was a total scum(to me oo) by them deviating from the ideal plot of the storyline(in the midst of heartrendering oppositions, daenerys reclaiming the throne cersi was forcefully holding unto after treacherously getting by jamie killing the targeryen on it) and making john snow kill her(after she lost her 2 dragons, her armies and almost her live trying to save him thrice because of her love for him). He couldnt give up the so-called bran's prophecy for her like his granddad did for jenny of oldstones(podrick song) and yet he wasnt the king. So why kill daenerys? Now Making the starks betrayers
