IS SUNDAY WORSHIP, A CHRISTIANISED FORM OF SUN-WORSHIP?

ECCLESIASTES 1: 9," What has been is what will be, And what has been done is what will be done AND THERE'S NOTHING NEW UNDER THE SUN".

•THE ORIGIN OF SUNDAY WORSHIP

Now, Sunday was the day set aside in the Mithra (Roman) cult as its official day to ASSEMBLE together to WORSHIP its SUN-DEITY(god or divinity)->>Sol Invictus ("Unconquered Sun" who was the official sun god of the later Roman Empire and a patron of soldiers.

Now, this specific day, "SUNDAY" was chosen mainly to "WORSHIP" what?? ->> A SUN-DEITY which could be a form of a god or divine power. Do you think "SUNDAY" was just chosen randomly out of the seven days of the week?? NO!! It was chosen so to magnify the power of the SUN-god, that is why it is called "SUNDAY"->> a sacred day to worship divine power of the "SUN".

•AFRICAN BACKGROUND OF SUN WORSHIP

The Lozi people (an ethnic group primarily of western Zambia, inhabiting the region of Barotseland. Lozi are also found in Namibia (Caprivi Strip), Angola and Botswana) believe that the "SUN" is inhabited by the sky god who is called Nyambi and the Moon is his wife.The Ancient Egyptian god of creation, Amun is also believed to reside inside the "SUN".
This is to show you that there has been a belief of sun worship in the ancient days and yes it existed.
Now what does the christian bible say about "WORSHIPING" the "SUN"?, let's read Ezekiel 8:16-17, "...And their faces toward the east, WORSHIPING the "SUN" towards the east. Then He said to me, "Have you seen this, O son of man? Is it too light a thing for the house of Judah to commit the abominations that they commit here, that they should fill the land with violence and provoke me still further to anger?...." Now this scripture tells us exactly that God is surely infuriated by "SUN WORSHIP" and sees it as abomination. Now how much more about worshiping Him on "SUNDAY", a sacred day dedicated specially for the "SUN-DEITY"?

Some may argue saying "SUNDAY" is the 7th day on the calender, meaning the day of rest, well, have you ever heard of a JULIAN CALENDER Or GREGORIAN CALENDER?

¤The JULIAN CALENDER
» a reform of the ROMAN CALENDER introduced by Julius Caesar in 46 BC (708 AUC). It took effect in 45 BC (709 AUC). It was the predominant calendar in most of Europe, and in European settlements in the Americas and elsewhere, until it was superseded by the GREGORIAN CALENDER.

¤The GREGORIAN CALENDER
» also called the Western calendar and the CHRISTIAN calendar, is internationally the most widely accepted and used civil calendar. It has been the unofficial global standard for decades, adopted for pragmatic interests of international communication, transportation, and commercial integration, and recognized by international institutions such as the United Nations and the Universal Postal Union.

A gregorian calender which is a modern calender that we use, replaced the Julian calender but didn't omit much out of the julian calender. For instance, starting day of the week on Julian calender was monday as it still is on gregorian calender.

So the Calender we are using was introduced by the romans under Julius Ceasar, the very same people who appointed "SUNDAY" a day to Worship 'SUN-DEITY' eventhough they came up with a new one, GREGORIAN CALENDER-which is alleged to be a Christian Calender, then why didn't they change Sunday and put it rightfully under biblical commands to its place? Why did they leave it at that? Or has God anything to do with SUN Worship? Ask yourself...



So it is quiet evidential that the 7th day on the calender, which is 'SUNDAY' has got nothing to do with God's Rest, Sabbath. Infact, Sabbath day, a day on which Christians should gather up and WORSHIP God is NO WAYS 'SUNDAY'. Biblical scriptures proves that sunday is the first day of the week Not the 7th, UNLIKE YOUR GREGORIAN CALENDER which is meant for christians but whereas its main purpose is to deceive them.
1 Corinthians 16: 1 says " On the first day of the week, each of you is to put something aside and store it up,as he may prosper, so that there will be no collecting when I come"...Matt 28: 1 says," In the End of sabbath, as it began to dawn towards the first day of the week"... PLEASE OPEN YOUR MIND TOWARDS GOD's DAY OF REST( SABBATH) THROUGH THE ABOVE-HIGHLIGHTED SCRIPTURES- Which day is really Sabbath and Why does the Gregorian Calender indicates Sabbath as "SUNDAY" whereas Sunday is no day of rest but the first day of the Week? What could be the reason and purpose behind this switch?

Could it be that the Romans, or the modern day Christian Elites are Mocking God by not Considering SATURDAY as the real Sabbath but instead shifted its genuine essence to 'SUNDAY', the day initially chosen and dedicated to the gods of the 'SUN' by the Romans...?

Could this mean SUN WORSHIP is ALIVE and WELL and its widely adopted by all modern Christians by Honouring "SUNDAY" as SABBATH?

If So, all Christians who keep 'SUNDAY' as their SABBATH then they are all keeping SUN WORSHIP meaning they are honouring the divine powers of the SUN and they are also involved in 'SUN WORSHIP' be it indirectly or unconsciously so.

Please read Malachi 3: 7 ," From the days of your fathers you have turned aside from my statutes and have not kept them. Return to me, and I will return to you , says the Lord of hosts ".

STAY BLESSED IN JESUS NAME

To a certain extent we could say its man-made under the context of your question, if per say one man wishes death upon another.God forbids it Deuteronomy 5:17 says," You shall not murder" meaning God knows that men are capable of murder,Psalm 59:2," Deliver me from those who work evil, and save me from bloodthirsty men". This tells you that Men can kill or men to a certain extent have taken upon themselves the will to kill.So such death is Man-made but it has nothing to do with God cos his will is to protect against such,Psalm 23:4," Eventhough I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil,for You are with me,your rod and your staff,they comfort me".

I personally think its idolatry to be making signs or to hold onto stuff like crosses cos remember Jesus was crucified and that wasn't the end of it,he rose from the grave meaning he conquered the cross and even the grave( death). Holding onto stuff like crosses just take us back to when he was crucified and I believe he conquered all of that. Remember Exodus 20:1-5,"You shall not make yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth." So I think hanging onto stuff like Crosses has nothing to do with Jesus cos remember He's a living God so the Cross is insignificant.And yet still if you are a born again xtian you are resurrected from death,and all is in the past,meaning if we are resurrected with Christ then crucifixion altogether has been conquered its no longer relevant its of the past so holding onto signs its prolly significant to those who are still hoping that Christ might die for their sins but I believe if u believe in Jesus u believe in the living God and stuff like crosses has no use cos they have past altogether with death and now we are resurrected and born again. That's why u are not even allowed to make signs or images that resemble God cos they are not significant nor are they relevant for he is a living God

"EXODUS 20: 1-5, " And God spoke all these words, saying:

"I AM THE LORD YOUR GOD, WHO BROUGHT YOU OUT OF THE LAND OF EGYPT, OUT OF THE HOUSE OF SLAVERY."- You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the Lord your God am a jealous God. ( PLEASE DO NOT CONFUSE THIS SCRIPTURE WITH EXODUS 34:14)

The above scripture ( Exodus 20: 1-5) indicates things we shouldn't do when in a relationship with God, basically what could lead our relationship with God into an "ERROR".

To make matters simple and less complicated, I would like to contextualise the concept " WORSHIP" under this topic, as this would help us understand the "ERRORS" in our relationship with God. Eventhough this might be a bit long, I urge you to bare with me as I believe this will worth your while.

Now " WORSHIP" is defined as, to "regard with ardent ( strong enthusiasm) or to regard something/ someone with adoring devotion". Now with this in mind let's read Deuteronomy 6:13 which says ,"...And you shall WORSHIP Him and swear by his name". Now this means we should ADORE God, be DEVOTED to Him, and in all things acknowledge Him ( Proverbs 3:6," In all your ways acknowledge Him".)

But the problem begins when we start looking upon ourselves and all that we acquire in our day to day life. You hear a lot of people, even your friends talking about their Accolades, cars, houses, jobs etc, More especially nowadays, if you don't have certain accolades you are regarded somehow as lowly & insignificant. THEN WHAT DOES THIS SAY ABOUT OUR REGARD TO THESE THINGS,i.e Accolades, social status, materials etc ? IT MEANS WE REGARD THEM WITH ADORING ESTEEM OR DEVOTION, meaning we "WORSHIP" them. One would say they are essentialities of life, without them you are nothing. THEN, WHAT ABOUT GOD? WHERE'S HE IN THIS PICTURE? The very same God who said
"Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and all things shall be added unto thee"..( Matt 6:33)

Remember Exodus 20:1-5 which concludes by saying ,"...For I the Lord your God am a jealous God

1 JOHN 2:15 ," Do not love the world or the things in the world, if anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him". Now you may argue and say all of these things ( Worldly Possessions ) comes from God, for he created me and thus destined me for Glory. 1 JOHN 2: 16 continues by saying , " For all that is in the world->the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and the pride of life-> is not from the FATHER but is from the world". SO DON'T GET IT TWISTED OR TWIST IT YOURSELF for that would be a self-formulated "ERROR".

So if you say you have a relationship with God and find yourself justifying all that is worldly such as wealth and all its obsessions by saying they are BLESSINGS from the God whom you have a relationship with, then your relationship with him is in "ERROR" and you are headed to destruction, For JAMES 4:4 says ," Anyone who deliberately chooses to love the world is thereby making himself God's enemy".

Please consider the "ERRORS" in your relationship with God and repent off them

ISAIAH 65:11-12 warns us about this, please read it carefully:

"But You Who forsake the Lord, who forget my Holy Mountain, who set a table for fortune and fill cups of mixed wine for destiny. I will destine you to the sword and all of you shall bow down to the slaughter, BECAUSE when I called you did not ANSWER, when I spoke you did not LISTEN, but you did what was evil in my eyes and chose what I did not delight in"

Furthermore It is God who is the saviour, through Him and only Him we can have Eternal Life, Not accolades and worldly possessions nor YOURSELF. So our relationship with HIM strictly requires us to Worship and Serve him ONLY.

Ezekiel 7:19 states ," They cast their silver into the streets, and their GOLD is Like an UNCLEAN THING, Their SILVER and GOLD are NOT able to DELIVER them in the Day of the WRATH of the LORD".

I urge to consider and Keep your relationship with God SACRED for He is a Jealous God, you cannot share him with anything or anyone nor can He be compared to anything or anyone.

Uuhhhmmm OBADIAH Sir. I have to admit, I used to admire ur work but after having gone thru this thread I'm regret ever admiring ur stance. Look u started nicely but as for Jesus is a mere word and satan not existing, there u dropped Brada. I think u need to be born-again and be led by the Holy Spirit in. By the ..."BELLY OF SHEOL" and "DESOLATE PIT"...

Both the Scriptures refer to the "SIN"(,i.e carnal,dust,worldly,flesh etc). Romans 5:12 states," Therefore as "SIN" came into the world through a "MAN"(i.e. Worldly, carnal,fleshly etc.) and "DEATH" through "SIN...

To simplify the above scripture, 1 Corinthians 15: 21 states,"....For as by a "MAN" (i.e Worldly,Flesh,carnal etc) came " DEATH...".
Therefore "MAN" and "SIN are one= DEATH. "DEATH" comes through a "MAN" who is of a "DUST", meaning worldly»sinful nature»Flesh.etc.
To put more emphasis on "DUST", Job 4: 19 states," How much more of those who dwell in houses of " CLAY", whose foundation is in the "DUST" , who are crushed before the moth". In simple form," THOSE OF "CLAY", WHOSE FOUNDATION IS IN THE "DUST"( i.e worldly,sin,flesh, in simple terms "MAN", who are crushed before the moth. Jeremiah 18:6 states, " Behold , "LIKE" the "CLAY" in the potter's hand, So ARE YOU(MAN,="CLAY" in my hand"....

In Continuity, PSALMS 40: 2 states, "He drew me up from the "DESOLATE PIT"( out of sin,worldly,carnal,flesh etc), out of "MIRY BOG" ( muddy, watery ground)..."Muddy, watery ground refers to the condition the "DUST" is in..

The verse continues by saying "... And set my feet upon a "ROCK", now let's read Matt 7: 24 which states," Every one then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house upon the "ROCK"...now question: To whom does the "ROCK" refer?...1 corinthians 10: 4 states,"....and the Rock was Christ".

Now PSALMS 40:2 concludes by saying,"...Making my steps secure"
To wrap up, Matt 7:24 says, " Every ONE then who hears these WORDS OF MINE and DOES THEM will be like a wise man who BUILT his HOUSE upon the "ROCK"..now in simple form, the verse says," ONE WHO HEARS & DOES THESE WORDS OF MINE WILL BE BUILDING HIS HOUSE(Life ) UPON THE "ROCK"(Lord Jesus) who will secure his/her steps.

Now the FOUNDATION OF A DUST(i.e Worldly,carnal,Sin,flesh etc) which leads or results to Death has been demolished and replaced by the FOUNDATION OF THE ROCK(Lord Jesus),who secures your life.

The list was simple. It had only two sections: ‘LOST’ and ‘SAVED’.
People came to read these lists to find out if their loved ones had survived. Interestingly, before the journey so many things were important.
Whether they worked on the ship or were on vacation? Whether they were rich or poor. Whether they were millionaires or peasants. Whether they were stockbrokers or not. Whether they were in first class or economy class.
Whether they were men or women. Whether they had a lot of luggage or not.
But after the sinking of the Titanic none of these things mattered anymore. Only one thing mattered- whether they were saved or lost.
Dear friend that is how Eternity will be.
A time will come when none of the things we have on this earth will matter. A time will come when it will not matter whether you are a man or a woman!
A time will come when it will not matter whether you are rich or poor!
What will matter is whether you are ‘LOST’ or ‘SAVED’ on the day you die and meet your creator!
