Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Secretary General Musa Amadu has told HeyNaija Sports that the withheld FIFA World Cup grant accruable to Nigeria due to its participation at the last Mundial in Brazil may be released as soon as next week.

Mr. Amadu also said not only with the release of the FIFA bonus, the return to normalcy at the Glass House would go a long way to attract many other benefits to Nigerian football.

Love Is Not Blind

One of the cliches I grew up listening to is "love is blind". I used to ponder in my young mind what it meant; I used to wonder in my child's mind if love was a human being but was blind and since I did not have an elder sister to discuss my love thoughts with, I was content with my definition.

As I progressed into my adolescent stage with my emotions running wild and my voracious appetite for books, I finally understood the "love is blind" line after poring over Mills and Boons, Harlequin and the likes.

Many of us use the world love every other day but I'd like us to focus on romantic love as regards this post.

I know guys who love girls that are endowed but end up with flat chested ladies and when I'm like guy how far? they be like "I couldn't help it, love is blind".

Now don't get me wrong, it is not about the physical attraction for me but the truth is when you know the qualities you love in the opposite sex, yet your partner lacks 99% and you go ahead in the name of "love is blind", you'll end up frustrated and tempted to cheat.

I know I'm petite and I've been screaming to high heavens that my man must be taller than me even if it is by few inches so me agreeing to date a man who is shorter than me in the name of love is blind is a recipe for disaster; or knowing fully well that I belong to the AS genotype and I go ahead and marry a man who is AS too in the name of love is blind is just sheer foolishness (I don't get people who still do this in this 21st century though).

In the name of love, a graduate marries an uneducated person and in future when there is a dinner in your office, you suddenly remember your partner is not up to your standard to flaunt in public, what ever happened to the initial love is blind?

As a wealthy girl you fall in love with a not too wealthy dude and later rub it in his face how you foot the bills? love is still blind yeah?

It is perfectly normal to look at people we have feelings for through rose stained glasses but believe me, those rose stained glasses can turn to blinders and trust me, it is not normal to create an ideal image of people because most times when we do that, they pretend to be what they are not, so as to fit in to the image we created.

Now after creating this ideal image and you fall in love with this image (blindly of course), who do blame when reality check dawns?

True love is not blind, it recognises faults as it does not ignore differences in social, tribal, educational or religious backgrounds but seeks ways of making these differences work!

The Househelp Saga

I’m pretty sure everyone has seen the video of the nanny beating the toddler and are probably waiting patiently to hear the last of it; I am too.

People have been going on and on pointing fingers; blaming the parents and accusing them of being lax in their parental duties as well as calling the nanny obscene names. I’m not here to pick sides or tell you who should be blamed or not; I’m here to give you my views from both sides of the story.



THE PARENTS

I’ve heard and read a thousand and one views on this matter and when I hear or read people blaming the parents, I can’t help but shake my head at the level of ignorance some people are capable of showing in a sentence.



Why didn’t they put the child in a creche?

How many of us know how much creches these days cost? Those things cost an arm and a leg. I don’t know how much the parents of the child earn, but here in Nigeria, the creche in my estate costs about N40,000 a month or so.

Now, if for example, it was in Nigeria, and the father probably earns N150,000 and the mother earns N100,000 monthly, if they have to cough out N40,000 for creche every month, how much do they have left for savings, feeding, upkeep and maintenance?

Who says aunties in creches won’t hurt your kids? In recent times, I have read of about 3 kids who have been sexually molested by aunties in their creches. So who says the creche is a way out?



Why wasn’t a background check conducted before employing the nanny?

Let’s be honest here, how many of us take our times to check out the referees on our employees’ resumes? How many of us actually have the time to go to previous places of employments before employing helps?

Truth is, most times, these helps come based on recommendations from friends and families. I mean, how do you start conducting background checks on the girl your mother brought in from the village?

It’s almost impossible and you even stand the risk of making your mother feel slighted. So background checks, OUT.



Why can’t you have family members take care of your kids instead of employing a stranger?

First of all, the family members have lives of their own. Do you think that they will just sit down somewhere waiting for you, to hand your kids over to them?

Secondly, who says family members don’t molest or maltreat children? The first time in my life that I was slapped, it wasn’t any of my parents or closely related family members that slapped me, it was some random distant cousin to my dad that did the slapping.

Numerous kids have been sexually abused by an uncle or aunt all in the name of, “we’re taking care of our brother’s or sister’s children”.



THE NANNY

Every bad finger has been pointed at this woman, last I heard, she was in a wheelchair after the beatings she received from the toddler’s dad.

I’d say she deserved the beatings and some more, but what if she has psychological or mental issues, and the bouts just happened to come around while she was with the child?

Like I said before, I am not on any side, I’m just pointing a few things that might have escaped our notice.

26 years old Rebecca Hudson from Manchester revealed that she has made as much as £3,700 from selling her milk.

She came up with the idea when she realised that she was making more milk than her child needed. Even the fact that it is being purchased for sexual purposes does not stop her,

Mother of former destiny child member Kelly Rowland has passed on.

It was reported that Doris Rowland Garrison had been ill for quite some time. This unfortunate incident happened just weeks after Rowland put to bed and had her baby boy.

Sperm can carry the Ebola virus for at least 82 days, the World Health Organization said on Friday, advising men recuperating from the disease to use condoms for three months after the onset of symptoms.



“Because of the potential to transmit the virus sexually during this time, they should maintain good personal hygiene after masturbation, and either abstain from sex (including MouthAction) for three months after onset of symptoms, or use condoms if abstinence is not possible,” the WHO said in a statement.



In four studies, on a total of 43 patients, three men who had recovered from Ebola still had the live virus in their semen 40 days, 61 days and 82 days respectively after the onset of symptoms.

The WHO said that no case of sexual transmission of Ebola had been documented, and that it was unclear whether semen that tests positive for Ebola is actually infectious.

The four studies were carried out in different countries, with the first dating back more than 30 years.

Ebola is highly contagious but, even if a person is infected, the virus can only be passed on once symptoms appear and only through direct contact with their bodily fluids.

Symptoms of Ebola include fever, headache, diarrhea, vomiting and in some cases bleeding.

The biggest Ebola epidemic on record has claimed around 5,700 lives since the beginning of the year, according to the WHO — almost all of them in Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone.

Billionaire Lamborghini Worth £1million EXPLODED With Son Still inside

A billionaire, Jon Hunt, the founder of Foxtons Estate Agents, is demanding £700,000 compensation from a garage after his £1million Lamborghini sports car bursted into flames with his son still trapped in the car.

The supercar is rare, only about 750 were ever made, the incident occurred in West London, last year.

Fortunately, his son escaped unharmed from the explosion.

A writ lodged at the High Court states: “The defendant notified Mr Hunt that the services had been completed and the vehicle was ready for collection.

“On April 5, 2013 Mr Hunt, by his son, attended the garage to collect the vehicle.

“Mr Hunt’s son was then provided with the keys to the vehicle. He then proceeded to drive into London along the A40.

Sunday Oliseh former Super Eagles skipper, blamed ex Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi for the team’s failure to qualify for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations which will take place in Equatorial Guinea.

While expressing his opinions on his blog, Oliseh wrote:

”The uncoordinated way in which Super Eagles play, which triggered our recent elimination, is borne out of the fact that there were too much line-up changes,”

Oliseh implied that Super Eagles need a top coach that is certified, he wrote:

“Should you want to be a top coach, you have to study and get yourself certified and even then you are not guaranteed success.

The Worst of Ebola Virus is Yet To Come – Prophet Joshua Iginla



Last December 31, 2013, Prophet Joshua Iginla of Champions Royal Assembly forecast the outburst of Ebola Virus according to some online sources.

He is now warning the world that the worst of Ebola virus is yet to come, while speaking to Encomium, in his words:

“Even men of God are going to be victims of this. Prophetically, God showed me and I was afraid and I am sorry to say that. I remember when I predicted it in 2013, people went on social media to criticise me.

There is a spiritual undertone to the issue. There is a link between the witchcraft coven and the marine world that lures people into hell and this is what I’m seeing. I am not mincing words. God revealed it to me which I have said that there would be something like a vaccine or hope that would come and it would be discovered by a group of scientists led by a white scientist with a bald head and this research will bring about 10 per cent hope. However, there is hope if spiritual leaders can complement the work of the scientists. As they are putting their heads together, we should also assemble to pray for the world. The way out is for us to adhere to measures put in place to prevent it and most important, turn to God.”
