It's actually the cause. The Nigerian government were to build a dam for this reason long ago but nothing has been done. Our own dam is to reduce the effect of havy rain so that flood can be controlled.

So the inefficiency of both pass and present government led to such a disaster...who caused our leaders?

The thread is not about who controls the market but why the market was closed and who closed it. Lagos State need Alaba just like Alaba need lagos state. Even the Yorubas in the market are not in support of the Agberos because its affecting them just as it's affecting everyone
