I really wish this market can be closed for more than one year the same way hospital was shutdon by Obi in Anambra for 13 months. Let them deal with it for good and see who will bear the brunt. The good thing is that Igbos have said that without them Yorubas in Lagos will suffer. Let's see who will suffer from here

sorry about my cold comment, I stand with the innocent traders not the silly agberos...but I am just angry a specific tribe turned these into an ethnic fight and are claiming victimization!

But they don't know that all tribes were affected in that clash, including the host tribe!

Meanwhile, Agberos should be banned, they are a menace to the society!!!
My dear, don't let anyone to gaslight you, they are trying all means to do away with the defense of lagos, don't forget that as useless as those agberos may seem to be , na them go still fight to protect you tomorrow when they start their nonsense.

Why can't we be known to be humble.
In sports, ever heard Humility in defeat...?

'We Yorubas'....
Wat a statement
...known to have produced the greats..... .
Forward till date, wat do 'we' have....?

Shhhhh!!!!
Nothing is forever,
Your children are creating an environment of rancour and chaos, and all you can say is "we Yorubas'"
Drop your high horse and realise that life is simply based on
"Live and let live"

Dad said, "so much is given, hence expected"

Igbo traders have refused to open the market they want justice

Why do you guys love to lie so much?
They refused to open or the govt shut down the market?
You just like creating a small world of delusion where you feel comfortable inside.
Moreover weren’t you boasting that you dealt with the Yoruba guys?
Now you still want justice, go and look for your justice in biafra.

The Interim National Coordinator of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, BAT Ambassadors, Chief Jamiu Afolabi Ekungba has said that Nigeria at this point needs a man who can consistently follow ideas agreed upon, especially in the execution of his released manifesto and not a fair-weather personality who consistently jump from boat to boat to suit his personal desire or those of his cohorts

I thought it's the Lagos state government that closed it indefinitely to avoid escalation of violence in the state.

Some people's IGR don reduced drastically.
Good one traders let this Dracula government choose between hard working Nigerians and useless, lazy and lawless "owo mi da" tinubu's Agbero.

Go and donate the IGR to your cave, you need it more down there to develop so your people can stay back home and stop constituting nuisance everywhere they go.
Can’t remember asking for your help anyway.

you're saying something totally wrong, don't let anyone gaslight you into thinking only Lagos uses Agberos or touts , I support the agberos, before now they have been used as levy and tax collectors throughout Nigeria why are you saying they should be banned only in Lagos, what's the reason for the revolt of the traders against the agberos today , if not for election and they think with Obi's presidency they won't be paying the land owners again where as they still pay such levies in their home state to same agberos. The question is why revolt against the system that has been in place for so long , the traders were actually the instigators of violence here . Even the Agberos have proven to be wiser than the traders.

Secondly is Nigeria ripe enough to stop agberos? Most modern taxation systems put in place by Lagos state government is been heavily criticized , Imagine criticism of toll gate which will automatically stop touting of tickets . This people are not stating their intentions.

Just take a look at a fool.

IGR go drop like Tecno battery grin, this will be the beginning of more to come and that will bring about more relocations, after Thier father's selfishly sold off Thier inheritance to Igbo people they won't go and face Thier selfish parents they will want to go and be taxing someone that is not owing them.

Though your opinion, but I don't like the fact that a learned person like you supports this illegal extortions. If someone like you supports this, then we have a huge problem in Nigeria. It means that your education and exposure- if you are tho, is useless.
Agberos are no different from arm robbers, they extort with the use of threat and violence. Their activities are illegal and must be banned nation wide.
So both you, your kinds and the useless agberos are a menace to our society at large.

Cantonese:

It started years ago, with the omoniles, criminally supported by the security agencies. It was not as bad it has presently become.

The lot for this payment at the Volkswagen bus stop only falls on the importer. Clearing agents and truck transporters carry the containers enroute to the market only to be blocked by these fellows, not in the name of NURTW or Parks management committee led by Musiliu Akinsanya, but in the names of the Oba, Navy, Army, Police, local government and themselves.

If not for the worsening economy, there used to be at least 500 containers on the average arriving Alaba international market daily. That has been drastically reduced, thanks to Buhari. With a daily average now of 100 - 200 containers, these touts make importers pay between 70k and 100k for 20ft and 40ft containers at that Volks point. You can all make your estimation and decide how much it translates to.

For those small buyers, getting out of the market through Iyana Iba involves extortion too by the touts. No one is spared. Your tribe does not exonerate you

Think about the multiplier effect. Traders must make their profits. So the cost of electronics in your homes skyrocket.

My God, this is wrong on all front.

Let it remain close till they have sense. They will las las pay their shop owners or dues or be ejected. Nobody will tell them this ain't the east

Shop they've bought. They're rent free.
Same thing. Let it remain close while they keep paying their dues.
Almost all tribes in Nigeria live in Lagos state. One tribe cannot start giving wahala and fighting the system. This isn't the east
