the so called atmosphere in hollywood was it not created by people?
the make believe scenes and everything.

the earlier they start being creative the better, and why do you have to say if gene is given a chance in hollywood she can do beta, there are some hollywood actors that even hardly get auditioned and even get parts, and an actor is good in wateva he is doing whenever wherever, why do we have to take gene to hollywood to see that she is worth being there.
the directors and producers should get creative, bring out the best in them and quit producing rubbish then we can see them featuring in a lil hollywood movie.

she is ok though(in Nollywood)

am being a pain? heard of the phrase"truth hurts"well dont take it too hard was just saying my opinion.

@eezy
and why are you so bitter?i also still insist they aint going anywhere but i also said if they continue at the pace and stupidity that theyy are going tongue

am not saying they are not good, aint no cause to blow heat over anything, they are good but sorry they aint going to hollywood tongue tongue tongue.

well the ones in hollywood? they dont have two heads and they are mere mortals, but they are good and maybe a lil better with good directors and better story lines, but the deal is if they nollwood does not start being creative hollywood would not be a place for them.sorry ya'll should not feel bad just continue giving them the suppport they need to create mediocrity,of course Hollywood is better than us but do we need their environment to do well in acting.

the problem with nollywood is just plenty, yes thanks jeff you mentioned make believing,do we have to wait for them to finish up the norm and start being creative, there was a yoruba film that came out "madam Dearest" that was a good movie it even had its own sound tracks, now thats an idea of creativity.

wateva cool, direct your attention to lancelot and ogoro, maybe it can boost them to even go to hollywood and back cool

@jeef,
i aint beefing, cos we aint doing the same thing. undecided
TV/MoviesRe: Super Story- Can u marry your mother's age mate?? by jiddah: 11:57am On Nov 27, 2007
whether overacting or underacting i think she is just wrong for the roleand any other, she should get some acting lessons or some'in
and of course susan patrick is good ever since the SS of omoye.
TV/MoviesRe: Genevieve Nnaji for Hollywood? by jiddah: 11:46am On Nov 27, 2007
what is the big dealhuh? huh

the big deal is that hollywood is producing movies that nollywood would not have produced in the 20 years if they keep at the pace and stupidity that they are moving and workin on. and of course they aree mere mortals with better skills and with an urge to improve whatever they are doing, look in the nigerian "context" Gene is a good actress lets just leave her at home(nollywood) than wish her to get to hollywood cos she aint going anyway cept ghana(maybe to shoot another video.

and who do you think they will cast her with? Nicole Kidman? Charlize theron?,or halle Berry?

give me a break! cool

i think the story is coming out nicely
LiteratureRe: Chimamanda Adichie: The Next Nigerian Nobel Laureate In Literature? by jiddah: 10:56am On Nov 27, 2007
interesting posts.

@orikinla i think i understand your point, but the thing is that achebe is like that with every body,he blast anyone who he deems fit and to an extent he thinks the ibos are like the chosen tribe by God,can you blame him, read his criticism on Heart of darkness by Joseph Conrad and i was forced to reckon with the guy but going by your point he does seem a little tribalistic.

and how in the hell don't you expect him to praise Adichie, she lived in the same house he once lived in so they feel kind of connected and stuff.when i read Purple hibiscus i was bawled over, made my friends read it was looking forward to reading HOAYS but was a bit off on that, too brutal and what exactly is her point, well can't deny that she is a good novelist but i want her to losen up a bit in her writing, put a little humour in it.

anyone ever read 26A  by Diana Evans?
TV/MoviesRe: Celebrity Takes Two: New Dance Reality Show (Sponsor: Skyebank) by jiddah: 10:25am On Nov 27, 2007
abeg, people should just stop hammering bout omotola and the four children issue,i think it would sound really stupid to think she is in the show for people to say after four children she can still roll her body and dance, maybe she ust wanna have fun, dats all, just hope she losses some weight in the process. grin

yes the olori oko guy is a bit harsh but someone has to be,julius gave him a hard time though, and him telling my beloved sultan that his dance is not from within,as if he knows depth?

Bryan is still not impressing me with his dances, like the duo though especially the girl, damn energetic.
Zizi had her fun with the olori oko performance, that was tight.i give her a 10 too

well depends on the kind of violence though.
i can do without those stabbing and stuff, some people find it difficult to see why,was almost forwarding the whole film when i watched TROY with my little cousin reminding me that its just a film, with all the stabbing in the film, and mafia films with shooting and all those funny ways of tortures are not really my thing, freaks me out.
@ vescucci
well sorry to burst your bubble i just saw Bourne Identity since and i liked it,kind of adrenaline pumpin for me,after a long time of thinkin to see or not to see just watched the second Bourne, and am looking to watching Ultimatum soon grin.am hoping to be tough, very tough soon. cool
But i actually sat through The Departed without flinching, watching how the heroes die through unexpected shots.i just have a thing for when heroes die, heroes are not s'pose to die embarassed.

people think am chicken when i tell them that i don't like Violent movies so,and it seems funny because i don't seem like so,i hereby say am on a spree of watching violent movies,so any recommendation iice?
TV/MoviesRe: Hollywood directors: Rate or hate? What's your Take? by jiddah: 4:01pm On Nov 05, 2007
well i think the 3As is Adewale Akinnoye Agbaje, well i think he kind of cutting his stuff out.still in tune with his roots sticking to that kind of long african name, was funny seeing him in Bourne Identity speaking broken yoruba, and he also did a movie with Van dame can't remember it now though.

A small tourist hotel was all abuzz about an afternoon wedding where the groom was 95 and the bride was 23. The groom looked pretty feeble and the feeling was that the wedding night might kill him, because his bride was a healthy, vivacious young woman.
But lo and behold, the next morning, the bride came down the main staircase slowly, step by step, hanging onto the banister for dear life.
She finally managed to get to the counter of the little shop in the hotel. The clerk looked really concerned, "Whatever happened to you, honey? You look like you've been wrestling an alligator!"
The bride groaned, hung on to the counter and managed to speak,
"Ohhh God! He told me he'd been saving up for 75 years, and I thought he meant his money!!"

here's a funny one,

I urgently needed a few days off work, but I knew the Boss would not allow me to take leave . I thought that maybe if I acted "CRAZY" then he would tell me to take a few days off.
So I hung upside down on the ceiling and made funny noises. My co-worker (who's blond) asked me what I was doing. I told her that I was pretending to be a light bulb so that the Boss would think I was "CRAZY" and give me a few days off.
A few minutes later the Boss came into the office and asked "What are you doing?" I told him I was a light bulb.
He said, "You are clearly stressed out. Go home and recuperate for a couple of days." I jumped down and walked out of the office.
When my co-worker (the blonde) followed me, the Boss asked her ".And where do you think you're going?"

(You're gonna love this, )

She said, "I'm going home too, I can't work in the dark."
