To cut a long story short, you need to learn how to sew with patterns. Pattern designing you may call it. It involves creating a style with software, getting it into patterns that can be printed with computer-aided design, and cut out for your tailors to work with, giving you inch perfect fitting and finishing.

This is the hallmark of modern day sewing which we do in our company, and acquiing this knowledge is compulsory for anyone who wants to be relevant in the world of fashion design.

If you want to get the training, you must be ready to cough out t least $3000 for this course, which willbe in phases and willtake you at least one year to learn.

It is a very practical course; sewing clothes is not learnt by reading textbooks! It's that simple.

I have been searching the net for books on how to sew and design clothes. More specifically, Nija clothes. It’s surprising how difficult it is trying to get one. Please if anyone has information on the matter or better still how I can procure these books either abroad or in Nija I’l be glad to know.

I am trying to enrol my wife into a business related course to keep her busy for next two months. She just finishes her NYSC and holds a degree in micro biology. The best option would have been Kaduna Business School. But currently their 5 week Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme is ending in June 6 and the next one is starting Aug 7th which is too long for my wife to wait.
Please any help on the subject matter?

It’s a typical Naija attitude. We always deal with others with suspicion and don’t bother to verify other people’s claims. When you go the visa application centre staff of VFS who are just suppose to receive applications say all kinds of things that are false.
Again I say yes you can because I have done it before. Go through http://www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk/ApplyNow.aspx . when u'v finished submit then print a copy, book appointment, submit supporting docs, then track application.
