airminem:Kindly read the post ma. Not only the headline. |
Since Baba seems to be confused about how to run this country, I suggest it's time to try younger hands. If Donald Duke, Oby Ezekwesili or Peter Obi decide to run for Presidency come 2019, who would you vote for and why?

Mikylopez:Yeaaaahhh... But imagine being extremely hungry and someone starts flaunting some delicious looking food right in your presence. What will you do? lol ![]() |
Dubai is surely an exciting and captivating city as it is one of the most liberal, accommodating and contemporary cities among its peers in the Middle East. However, you need to be careful as there are some few things that are considered illegal and offensive here. Many tourists have been thrown into jail for committing some offenses out of ignorance. Here are 6 things you must never do when you are in Dubai. Drinking Alcohol in Public When it comes to alcohol consumption, Dubai is the most permissive among Muslim locations. But please don’t abuse this privilege, never ever try to drink alcohol or booze in public. Foreign residents are only allowed to drink alcohol in their homes, night clubs and bars, but go easy on the booze as you will be charged if you show any slight of being tipsy when you are in public. Also don’t attempt to drive while under the influence of alcohol, it’s highly prohibited in Dubai. Using Illegal Drugs Although this is the standard rule for almost every destination in the world, but it should be highly reiterated here. Dubai has zero tolerance for illicit use, possession and selling of drugs such as cocaine, marijuana, ecstasy and even some over-the-counter medications that have been considered contraband. So make sure you do your homework well before bringing any illegal substance here. PDA Avoid any public display of affection. A British couple was once jailed for making out on the beach while others have been punished for lesser affectionate gestures. To enjoy your stay here, refrain from any forms of public displays of affection. Watch Your Tongue Freedom of speech is not a universal right, so watch your tongue when you are in Dubai. Avoid using curse words in public as you can be charged if you are caught. Also, avoid blasphemy and don’t make any provocative statement against Islam when you are in Dubai. In addition, never make any negative comments against the elites and the Emirati royal families – if you have any opinions or observations, keep them to yourself. Nudity Nudity is not allowed in public places in Dubai as it is highly frowned at. Women should never appear topless at the beach, pool, water parks, etc. Men should never appear in public without a shirt on – it’s not allowed. Also, women need to put on appropriate dresses whenever they are in public places such as malls, restaurants and streets. Dresses that super fitted, transparent and revealing are not accepted. Eating in Public during Ramadan Ramadan is the holy month where Muslims worldwide fast from dawn to dusk. If you happen to find yourself in Dubai during this period, do not drink, eat, or smoke in public as it is seen as being disrespectful. If you want to consume your meal, do that in the privacy of your home or your hotel room. Source: http://kqholidaysng.com/2016/11/22/6-things-you-must-not-do-dubai/ |

The wealthy city of Dubai is putting in place plans to introduce robot police officers to its metropolis within the next two years. After announcing the launch of robot lifeguards on its public beaches, Dubai has stepped up another notch with interactive robots patrolling crowded, public spaces such as malls. The Dubai Media Office made this announcement via a tweet during the Gulf Information Security Expo and Conference (GITEX) Technology week. The city is aware that the population is expanding due to an influx of visitors from all around the world. Colonel Khalid Nasser Alrazooqi, who heads the city’s ‘smart’ unit, said during a keynote speech, “The robots will interact directly with people and tourists. They will include an interactive screen and microphone connected to the Dubai Police call centers. People will be able to ask questions and make complaints, but they will also have fun interacting with the robots,” Dubai's objective is to become the world's best Smart City with the most advanced police force in the world after introducing the Google Glass last year. The gadget which has already helped issue 60 fines, allows officers identify road users who have outstanding warrants through their number plates. The Dubai Police fleet of cars also boasts supercars such as; a Lamborghini, Ferrari and Bentley; which allows them catch speeders who can outrun other cars.
