they will use government money to pay staff for private work. After all they acquired, they still want taxpayers to pay for their private living expense. Same way they rather collect policemen as guard on taxpayers money, instead of using private security.

HealthAyotunde Wins Pha's "Rino Aldrighetti Leadership Award" with $10,000 Grant by jideflash(op): 8:05pm On Jun 18
The Rino Aldrighetti Leadership Award winner: Ayotunde Omitogun

This award recognizes exceptional leadership in advancing PHA's vision of a world without PH.
The Pulmonary Hypertension Association honored Ayotunde at an awards ceremony held during the PHA 2026 International PH Conference and Scientific Sessions in Dallas.

Ayotunde Omitogun is a dedicated advocate and volunteer leader in the global PH community whose work has transformed awareness and support for patients in Nigeria. After her 2013 diagnosis, she turned to the Pulmonary Hypertension Association for connection and knowledge, which inspired her to give.

In 2020, she founded the Cardiac Community Advocacy and Support Initiative, Nigeria’s first patient-led organization focused on PH. The group provides support networks, raises awareness and helps patients access lifesaving resources.

Through her tireless volunteerism and commitment to building community, Omitogun has amplified the voices of PH patients, fostered meaningful connections and brought hope, visibility and support for patients and families.

Key Contributions & Achievements
Founded Cardiac Community: In 2018, she founded the Cardiac Community Advocacy and Support Initiative, which stands as Nigeria's very first patient-led organization dedicated entirely to pulmonary hypertension.
PH Drug Aid Program: Understanding the extreme financial hurdles and scarcity of life-saving PH medications in Nigeria, her initiative launched a drug aid program to help low-income patients access essential treatments.
National Awareness Campaigns: She runs public outreach programs like "Walk4PH" in Lagos to break the silence surrounding this frequently misdiagnosed "invisible disease".
Global Advocacy: Beyond local support, she collaborates internationally to advocate for better diagnostic infrastructure, localized clinical trials, and affordable medication access across the African continent.

About the Pulmonary Hypertension Association
Headquartered in Washington, D.C., the Pulmonary Hypertension Association is the oldest and largest nonprofit patient association dedicated to the pulmonary hypertension community. Pulmonary hypertension is a rare, chronic and life-threatening condition affecting the lungs and has no known cure. PHA's mission is to extend and improve the lives of those affected by PH. To achieve this mission, PHA engages people with PH and their families, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and researchers worldwide to work together to advocate for the PH community, provide support to patients, caregivers and families, offer up-to-date education and information, improve quality patient care, and fund and promote research.

CBN needs to address the 10% rule under BOFIA Section 19(cool(c), Access Bank shareholders were victims of the rule, depriving them dividends when they should be celebrating the foreign subsidiaries success.

"The regulation caps aggregate equity investments in foreign subsidiaries at 10% of shareholders’ funds unimpaired by losses.

As foreign subsidiaries grow, Nigerian banks must either raise additional capital locally or reduce ownership stakes abroad.

Chapel Hill Denham noted that Nigeria’s banking framework prevents foreign operations from being structurally isolated from the Nigerian parent bank."

There is big frustration with Morgan Capital whenever one tries to credit their account, you must send multiple emails after making payment to the bank account, before they will credit your trading account. there are easier ways of dealing with this, they should check competitors.

Nothing to worry if you are ready to hold long, if you follow their well laid out strategic phases. it is a 5 years cycle of expansion and consolidation each.
Having driven aggressive expansion across Africa and into key international markets in recent years, the Group announced it is now entering the crucial optimisation phase of its strategy. This phase is expected to unlock significant value for stakeholders as the organisation works towards achieving its 2027 growth objectives.

The Full Year 2024 financial results demonstrate that the Group’s investments are already yielding meaningful outcomes. Gross earnings rose to N4.878trn from N2.594trn in 2023.

chimex38:
We should help the Senate and FG to draft the law starting with Steel.
Cuz seems that's the next line of Dangote's route
Once he successfully breaks that jinx and begins production and exportation, his steel company should be shut down based on the new senate law and to avoid people calling him "monopoly". He should rather canvass for competitors alongside.

He should also not go into Power sector.

He should massively campaign for competitors who will compete with him before he ventures into any industrialization sector..

The problem is always with the Initiators and risk takers..
He will start controlling g our steel mill and making too much money from selling 24hrs power to Nigerians work 100% coverage to outskirts and hinterlands.
What a "Monopoly".
It's also his fault that other power companies are handicapped or are did not come into existence with him to compete favourable.
How dare Dangote violate the law of the country by offering Nigerians 24hrs supply of light at his chosen price and changing the previous status quo without canvassing for a competitor to compete with Him before embarking on this risky venture!! grin
What a monopolistic tendency!!
