Sammy Gyang is an established figure within the Nigeria music industry with a reputation for delivering high quality music in a variety of different roles that include: music producer, music director, sound engineer, songwriter, singer, music teacher and virtuoso pianist.
Sammy is from Jos South LGA, Plateau state. Born to the family of late Evangelist Gyang Luke Dung. He is also a brother to Multi-award winning musician "Jeremiah Gyang". He started his musical trade from the church choir, playing his favourite instrument “the piano” and singing.
Sammy Gyang began his career in the music industry at the age of 14, when he started production with mentorship from his elder brother, Jeremiah Gyang and motivation from his father.
He is Ice Prince's music director and in-house producer/engineer, and also Jeremiah Gyang's music director. His biggest breakthrough came in 2013 when he produced almost half of Ice Prince's second album titled "Fire Of Zamani" (FOZ) and also got involved in about 50% of the songs by mixing, directing or adding extra vocals.
Sammy Gyang also performed and directed the live band at Ice Prince Zamani FOZ album launch concert that held at Eko Hotel Conference Center.
Sammy Gyang was involved in MI Abaga's latest album title "The Chairman" as he co produced one of the songs.
Sammy Gyang has produced, worked and is currently working with popular artistes such as Asa, MI Abaga , Jeremiah Gyang, Sunny Nneji, Ruby Gyang, DICE, Davido, Ikechukwu aka Killz, Eva Alodiah, Iyanya , Dj Xclusive , Dj Caise , Praiz, Zaina, Gina, Waje, Styl-Plus, Tiwa Savage, KIN etc.
Sammy Gyang has continued to produce and record with mainstream international artists including Stanley Enow (Cameroun) – MTV MAMA and AFRIMMA 2014 winner, The Dogg (Namibia) and Victoria Kimani (Kenya) while also developing his reputation as a composer of music for TV, Radio & advertising.
Sammy Gyang has worked at the Sheraton Abuja Hotel from 2002 to 2011 as an Entertainment Contractor.
He also performed with his live band at exclusive events at the US Embassy, French Cultural Centre, Spanish Embassy, British Council and Julius Berger PLC amongst others in Nigeria. Sammy Gyang still performs with Jeremiah Gyang and his live band.
With a great ear for good music, Sammy Gyang has served as a Judge for Reality TV Shows like West African Idols 2007 (Abuja audition) and Star Quest 2006 and 2007 editions (Lagos, Abuja and Jos auditions).

A New York couple who spent a combined 75 years as educators were announced today as the winners of a $326 million Mega Millions jackpot, the largest in New York Lottery history.

Harold Diamond, 80, of Wurtsboro, and his wife, Carol, accepted a $130,676,438 check – the amount the couple received after taxes and a lump-sum payment – at the same Valero gas station in Middletown, New York, where Diamond purchased the ticket in November.

“My wife and I were driving to Middletown for dinner after voting on Election Day but the weather made us rethink our plans,” Diamond, a school principal who retired in 1995, said in a statement released by lottery officials.

“My wife insisted we stop here to eat and wait for the weather to clear, and I reluctantly agreed,” he said of Carol, a 36-year teaching veteran who retired in 1994.

While the couple ate at a Subway shop inside the service station, Diamond says he saw the Mega Millions jackpot signs and decided to buy decided to buy 10 sets of Quick Pick numbers for $10.

That $10 would turn the Diamonds into multimillionaires, but Diamond says he did not realize it until he was out golfing the next day with friends.

“I put the ticket in my wallet and forgot about it,” he said. “I went to play golf the next day and the guys in the clubhouse were talking about the jackpot-winning ticket someone bought at a Valero on Route 302 and I thought, wait a minute – I bought a ticket there last night!”

When Diamond saw the six winning numbers matched the second set of Quick Pick numbers on his ticket, he went into a “real daze.”

“I was in a dither,” Diamond told lottery officials.

The Diamonds’ decision to take their money in a one-time, lump sum amount means they are now trying to figure out what to do with $130 million.

“I simply can’t envision that kind of money,” he said. “It’s very hard to fathom. We feel very blessed.”

Diamond, who has two adult sons with Carol, told lottery officials his first plans are giving to family and "giving back to the community."
