I need to do the WES for my Educational verification. And the issue, I have is my age, my transcript age is different from the one on my passport. As I am so confused on what to do. If I go with any of the Age hope it won't cause any issues with the PR for me not to get . please Advise according. Thank you.

called a friend in Canada she said all i need do is to swear an affidavit, since all my other documents including my transcript carries the real DOB, that I should all other documents like divers license, national ID, and birth certificate to show it was an error from immigration.. thanks

1. This is not a very honest option, but I'll say it anyways for the sake of the Canada dream. Try get in touch with someone in your school and convince the person to help "adjust" your age on the transcript before sending it out for evaluation. You may have to offer a very good bargain in order to achieve this. There must be at least one official in there who can help with this. This is your best option.

2. In case the above does not work, wait for WES to conclude its evaluation. Then send WES a DoB certificate with your new age and impress upon them that your school made a mistake which they are not willing to correct. Affirm that this is your new DoB and you would like it corrected on your ECA. It may not work though. This is your other option.

3. In case it doesn't work, your final option is to submit your application like that. Then include a LOE explaining the discrepancy in your DoB and stating which of the DoB is valid. Back this up with an affidavit and your DoB certificate. Back it up with other documents that may confirm your story. And then cross your fingers. This is your final option.

It's my personal opinion that CIC is more likely interested in the DoB on your international passport, cos that's where they pull your biodata. I don't think they'll necessarily obsess with the DoB on your ECA. Not sure about this though. I may be wrong.

I read all the story you wrote about the error stemming from immigration and how you need to travel with the passport blah blah blah....the fact is, you've had the passport with the WRONG date of birth for at least a month, without trying to rectify with Nigerian Immigration. Instead you want to adjust the DoB on your transcript? Does that even make sense?
It means you are happy with the incorrect DoB on your passport, and see nothing wrong in altering other documents to match it. You even wrote "you'll stick to one DoB". No mention of sticking to the TRUE DoB.

Anyway, remember that once you start a lie, you need a lie to keep covering the original lie. When you get to Canada, and there's something you need to prove like qualification, you'll start cross-checking to make sure your DoB matches? SMH!

I don't think this is an issue that you should worry about. This looks like a common problem in our educational system.

Like cochtrane rightly observed, what you should confirm is if the age on your international passport is correct.

A transcript is not a statutory proof of age.

thanks for your suggestions, i just called and the first option is out of it... secondly i'm thinking of trying to correct the passport to the normal age, it as actually from the passport office but then i had a week deadline to submit my passport or else my trip will be cancelled i had no option than to use the passport with that age... well my second option has just been ruled out.. that will cost me about 200k to fix.. lol.. see whala... i guess i will go with your last option then i will stick to one date of birth...
