depending on dept.last yr econs cutoff was 60 or thereabout for full time but some people were later given parttime,instead of d initial fulltime.those that were given were those that scored i think 45 and above

means u r not eligible no matter ur score...eg picking a course diff from ur first degree

or applying for m.sc instead of pgd or applying with hnd

If the weighted average is less than 60, one won't be able to do PhD without M.Phil.

If one score less than 60 in a course and score more than 60 in others, such a person can still make PhD grade.

for example, if one took 5 courses and scored 51, 54, 67, 75, 58... the weighted average is 61{(51+54+67+75+58)/5} provided the 5 courses have the same unit.

But I think some school offer take 58% for PhD

from the above example,if it is percentage,automatically that person qualifies for ph.d.But if it is in cgpa,that person does not qualify for direct ph.d.Hope i am right.

61500 acceptance, and I think 65k school fees. Departmental levies also varies. Atleast a budget 150k will cover all fees.

nothing like magomago.if ur score is up to ur cutoff mark for ur course,u will make it.infact d merit list and also there is nothing like pasting of results.you will check it online.

A source told me that result will not be uploaded dis year just d admission at d end of November nd its going to come inform of a letter not list

the list came out before d result last yr.infact, d lists were released on d 31st of dec 2015 and about two wks after,d result came out.so u can expect d same dis yr.

I heard yesterday from a reliable source that most of d departments are through with the results, They have sent it to the pg school for final approval including d names of applicants they recommend for admission

Can someone confirm if calculators are allowed in this test? I seem to be getting divergent views. While those who have written the test before say its allowed,am getting from other sources that the use of calculator is not allowed.

Are you a teacher? If you are approach your school and discuss working with them part time. I actually resigned from my teaching job but was called back to work part time with them while pursuing my masters. So give it a shot. You never can tell.

Be matured about it. Every reasonable boss should want the progress of his staff. You could send him a text over the weekend that you want to discuss something relating to your future with him, so he can use his elderly experience to advise you.

That would make him feel more like he is being carried along.
Then on Monday, tell him you have gotten admission and you plan combining the two, that it wont affect your dedication to the work.

That was what i did and my boss was totally in support. He has even given me time off to go for my registration
