I applied that method you posted concerning changing ueventd in boot.img, and voila, it booted.
Now using Temasek-based-cm13.

Thanks, I appreciate. I just forgot the process I followed, when porting CM13. If not for you, I wouldn't have remembered to use that same method.

A quick one, does the Resurrection Remix have fm radio? I am thinking of porting it this weekend. Thanks.

Yes bro,porting the boot.img is always more critical to deal with, don't temper with it too much.
here are two options.
1.only replace kernel from stock.
2.only replace kernel and ueventd from stock.

for me...option 1 helps me to boot.

Well there we have it...@the line ro.build.version.sdk=23 settles it, that rom is a pure cyanogen mod 13 and not a themed rom

Nsonaso thats cm13 on mt6582, i know cause i have a friend who uses primo gh2/gionee p4, and android 6.0 should have sdk version of 23, Jiggar please drop the screen shot of your build.prop showing your sdk version, that should clear nsonaso's doubt AND P.S YOU CANT EDIT SDK VERSION IN BUILD.PROP, IT WOULD LEAD TO FC OF MANY SYSTEM APPS AND THAT WOULD EVENTUALLY LEAD TO BOOT LOOP and i also know a themed rom through its SDK version.

Now, I know some people are more vast when it comes to porting and building roms.
Initially it was difficult building the roms for CM13 on kernel 3.4.67 according to some guys at xda. They said the kernel of my device was too old, to boot CM13. They said it requires some blob files to build it, and without the source code, it will be practically impossible.

Unknown to most of us, the final users, some Indian guys were frantically searching for how to get those blob files and build the rom for that old kernel.
Lo and behold, they got it working and here we are using CM13, on a very old kernel. And like I said in one of my early post, the Bluetooth functionality is 90%, due to the kernel issue. Aside that, all is working well.

One thing I have come to realize in life is that, where one person's knowledge ends, it doesn't mean others are not trying to surpass that level. Humans are trying to get better everyday.

However I would like to ask a question from the gurus here. Is there any way to tell the difference between a themed OS and original?

That's a Themed CM 13. As pure CM 13 is Android 6 based and you can't port from higher SDK to a lower SDK

Well in terms of custom roms, it (cyanogen) is the king. So I would say, it's nice and free of bloatwares.
But, that is not to say it doesn't have some little issues. Like in my case, my Bluetooth only shares files with other android phones, but not with Java phones.

But then, nothing is perfect, as I have gotten used to it. So aside the Bluetooth issue, everything is working.

Wow, I am amazed that in this time and age, most people don't know that some Tecno devices are already rocking cyanogenmod.

To buttress my point, I am using cyanogen 13 on my Tecno H6. Yes, you read right, Tecno H6.
This was a phone built in 2014 and rocking cyanogen. I ported it myself almost three weeks ago.

There are developers constantly building varieties of rom for my kind of device running mt6582 chipset.
And I must say, cyanogen is sweeeeet!!!

Actually there is no rom better than the ota pushed by OEMs. All cm roms come with bugs, except those meant for phones running stock android. people overlook these bugs because the roms are always smooth. It is either camera is crashing or double tap to wake doesn't work (for phones with that function) or double tap home button to launch camera doesn't work for Samsung phones, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, etc. cm roms are good for people that like stock and can livue with some bugs...Never perfect.

Like I stated in my post, I said custom rom not stock.
And yes, it does come with a little bug. But one can definitely live with some of it.

From my tiny, winy experience, no other custom rom comes close to cyanogenmod 13. It's simply sweet.

I think you should try Titanium Backup.
It can backup both data and apk.

Well, you have to do a little search on google, for you to understand the pros and cons. My phone is MTK powered, so I have an average idea about it, but for your kind of machine, no iota of idea.

However, I am positive that, when you search Google for your device and the roms available for it, you will definitely get them and the necessary procedures you must take to flash them.

But, I must emphasize this, please make a backup of your current rom, so that, should any issue arise, you can revert to the backup.

I guess the issues mentioned by the OP, has to do with some phones, but not all.

Well in my case, I have been using cyanogenmod 13(marshmallow) on my Tecno H6, for the past 10days, and it has been almost perfect. Need I say that, this is a phone with 1GB ram, built in 2014.
Battery drainage is cool, thanks to doze. Ram usage is good not awesome , since it's just 1GB ram.

All in all, I really have no complaints. And to enjoy it more, another marshmallow custom rom just came out for my chipset just two days ago , so I will be porting it this weekend, by the grace of God.

So for the bold at heart, do a nandroid backup and upgrade. If you don't like it, reinstall your lollipop backup. But if otherwise, enjoy the sweet features of marshmallow.

I have not come across such info before.
Maybe when I am less busy, I will try it on my Tecno H6, running cyanogen 13 marshmallow.

Majority of those apps the op said are battery drainers, are almost correct, except for the clean master app. I can't do without clean master on my phone, it does a wonderful job of cleaning my phone.

I need urgent help, from the gurus in the house.
I have a full backup of my Android phone, using TWRP Recovery. While installing a custom rom, I mistakenly formatted my sd card.

Although, I saved the backup on my pc, so there shouldn't be any cause for alarm. Now, after doing the restore, my phone is back to how it was before, but my SD card is missing somethings.

I know that the backup has files, from both internal and external memories, but why is the SD card not showing the complete files, it had before?

You are very correct. This app "Shareit" is simply the best.

It so happened that, I wanted to send some files from my Tecno H6 to infinix hot 2, using flashshare. I tried to pair both phones, it just wouldn't work. And then, I decided to send the shareit, in the infinix to my H6, through Bluetooth.

After installing on my phone, I paired both devices, and voila, files about 1.5GB transferred in about 25 seconds. Mehn, I was surprised, I never knew there was another app better than flashshare.
I recommend it to everyone, it's simply the best.

To the OP, I thought it was only me, going through this deduction from mtn.

I have called customer care so many a time, but they can't just fix it. Funny and annoying at the same time, I am not subscribed to any services, hidden or known by me or the customer care guys.

I have allowed them eat the little balance I had, but no more recharging my line, till they sort this out.
