I wish it was a zip file, which can be flashed through recovery. Unfortunately, you need sp flashtool, which requires a PC.

Well, just like you, I had the 2GB version. When I searched online and discovered that, there was a 5GB version, I had to update it, so that I could have more space.

So, as it stands now, the best bet, is for you to upgrade. I wouldn't suggest you try and flash the zip file with the 2GB version because, should it not work, it becomes a big issue.

I hope you know how to backup your current rom, before flashing a new one?

However, just google how to flash new rom.
After flashing the AICP, immediately flash the gapps too, then boot it.

So, how do we sort it out? Do I upload the one I ported, to a sharing site or give you the link of the raw rom and then, you port it yourself?

And if the former is the case, which site will I use? because I don't normally do uploads.

Instead of download this, download that, why not use ucbrowser not ucmini?
In ucbrowser, you just click on the picture, you will see save image (save directly) or view image (to view in another tab), click it and then, it opens the picture for you boldly.

Check the bottom left of the opened picture, you will see an arrow facing downwards, click it and you are done.

And if there are more pictures on that page, click the three vertical dots at the bottom right of the opened picture. When clicked, you will now see save all, meaning save all the pictures on that very page.

NB: Downloading the pictures, doesn't need data, as long as, the particular page is fully loaded on the screen.

I have been using H6 for almost two years now (bought it November 2014).

I must confess, it's one of the best devices, Tecno made that year. My device is still working perfectly and no damages on it.....nothing at all.

Currently rocking AICP 11 (marshmallow custom rom).

For starters, my phone's kernel is 3.4.67 with mt6582 chipset. When it comes to custom roms based on those two features, I can help out. But, if otherwise, I've got no ideas.

However, other things being equal, I guess the best is for you to search Google and XDA forums, for custom roms for your phone.

The advantage you have is that, your phone brand is internationally recognised. So, finding a cyanogen based rom, might not be that hard (my opinion though).

For you to use Cyanogenmod theme, you need to be on any rom based on CM12/13.
Examples of the roms are; CM13, Resurrection Remix, AICP, Temasek, just to mention a few.

While the themes I use are; Galaxy S7, Iron man, Flux, Deep darkness and Amaranth.

All these themes can be gotten from playstore.
Those are the ones I always interchange on my phone.

There's no root without superuser Bros what you have on your phone is a custom ROM with the superuser icon hidden.

To confirm go to playstore and search superuser or supersu it will surely show you have it installed if you can't find it you are not rooted yet. Download root checker app to verify

After following all you wrote, it's seems there is nothing like supersu on my phone.

And to add to it, to instal a custom rom, you need full root access. Attached are screenies of my phone, without superuser.

There's nothing like factory rooted. If your phone don't have superuser you are not rooted.

Not having superuser displayed on a rooted device, doesn't necessarily mean, the phone is not rooted.

My phone for example. I am using a Tecno H6, running AICP Marshmallow cm13 rom, and no superuser on it. It's baked directly into the custom rom, so it's not visible.

Although, I could flash the superuser, if I wanted to. But for now, it's not needed.

You are absolutely correct. Most times we tend not to read the permission of most apps, myself included.

However, fortunately, I have never experienced such malware issues before, maybe because, I use different custom roms.

Just like swisscarter said, you can get it on the playstore. But, please be careful when trying that theme, it tends to brick some phones.

I used it with Validus custom rom, based on CM13,but it bricked my phone. Fortunately, I always have backups, should any mishap occur.

Also, the creator of the theme have a detailed guide on how to fix any issue, which might arise.

I have really enjoyed this phone, currently running AICP Marshmallow custom rom, after using cyanogen 13 and Tipsy marshmallow.

Welcome to the thread.

About the USB mass storage you wrote about, I for one, missed it also. Before the coming of lollipop and marshmallow, I usually play my music, from my phone connected to my radio, via the USB method.

But, unfortunately, Google did away with it. So you have to make do with MTP.
Search more on google to understand, why it was dropped.

I, like you, port roms for Tecno H6. It uses mt6582 chipset.
Currently, I am using TipsyOS, an AOSP custom MM rom.

I would like to ask, how can I get that HIOS manager and port, that's, if it's possible with my chipset?

To the OP, are you using a custom rom? If yes, that could be the problem. I had the same issue when I was using a particular custom rom.
I resolved it, by trying another rom.

But, if it's stock rom, I think clearing your playstore cache and data might help.

Truth be told, I am more familiar with Mt6582 with kernel 3.4.67, since that's the one on my phone.

So, the best one can do is search for it on google, maybe something might pop up. And believe you me, I am even searching for it as I type this. Let's just keep our fingers crossed.

Ok to your request, I did some research for your kernel version, but I haven't come up with anything concrete.

As you must have known, the kernel version I have and maybe some of the guys here, is the one of 3.4.67 while, yours is 3.4.5.
So, just be patient until some of the gurus here, find something for you. On my part, I am still searching for you. I hope you are also searching frantically?
