Yesterday being 8th August the year 2020,it's not just a normal day but a special day to Moraa. She is celebrating 28 years of living with HIV since her birth in the year 1992. In her family,it's only her and her mother suffering from the virus while her dad is negative and her other siblings. She has always involved herself in so many HIV campaigns, fighting stigma, encouraging those affected to continue taking drugs and never to give up on life. About a year ago,she started her YouTube channel where she teaches mostly on how to live Positive. Mothers who are HIV positive and wants to have kids always look forward to her advice. She keeps telling people that HIV is a tiny virus that she will one day beat. Her viral load is at now very low because she has been taking her drugs correctly and living safe. She can give birth to a child who is negative and can also not infect anyone with the virus. Moraa believes that she is better than HIV and her life story is beautiful because it reminds her of how tough she has been. She started taking her drugs at the age of eight years. To her,every birthday is a very special day because no one knew that she was going to make it. Here she us now ashaming the virus on how strong and a good fighter she is against it. Even her doctors told her parents that she won't make it to a teenage age. She has suffered alot of rejection and stigma while in the public but decided to overcome all these through ignoring that they exist. A 27-year man, identified as Friday Asuquo, on Friday shot at his friend, Kingsley Araino, with a pump-action gun, intending to kill him, over a disagreement that ensued between them as a result of N1,000 owed him. . . The incident happened at Amawbia, Anambra State. The Nigerian man held in the United States for alleged multi-million dollar fraud has hired the services of a top rated #Chicago lawyer, #MichaelNash, to defend him in court .~. Olalekan Ponle, popularly known as #Woodberry, alongside Ramoni Igbalode, also known as #Hushpuppi, was arrested in the United Arab Emirate on June 10 for multiple fraud charges after a raid by operatives of the Dubai crime unit .~. The duo were then extradited to the United States on July 2 .~. Mr Ponle, 29, is currently facing charges bordering on wire fraud Conspiracy at a United States District Court sitting in Illinois. Until today, we'd all assumed the election in November would be between Kanye's pal President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden, but perhaps this Saturday night surprise will change the game — for better or worse. More likely, though, this is just Kanye West trying to promote his new album (which is called God's Country, making it even more notable that he dropped God's name in his tweet) and possibly some of his overpriced clothes. To make the evening's announcement even weirder, billionaire and notorious Twitter troll Elon Musk decided to immediately "endorse" Kanye on Twitter. The United Nations on Saturday said two civilians including a five-year-old child were killed and an aid helicopter damaged in a Boko Haram attack in northeast Nigeria. Boko Haram fighters launched the attack in the town of Damasak on Thursday. UN humanitarian coordinator in Nigeria Edward Kallon said both the fatalities and several others who were injured in the attack were on the ground. “A UN Humanitarian Air Service helicopter was hit by bullets during the attack. No aid workers were on board at the time and crew members are all safe,” Kallon said in a statement. A UN communication seen by AFP said the aircraft was shot as it approached Damasak and the pilots managed to fly back to regional capital Maiduguri 150 kilometres (90 miles) away. The memo said the UN was suspending rotational flights for one week “to engage with government partners and conduct new risk assessments”. Helicopters provide a vital link carrying humanitarian personnel and delivering aid to an estimated 7.8 million people in urgent need of assistance across northeast Nigeria. The UN has complained of an uptick in attacks targeting aid workers in the northeast region. Dr Osagie Ehanire, Nigeria's Minister of Health has disclosed that Nigeria already has a plantation of herbs used to produce Madagascar’s ‘COVID Organics’. Speaking during a Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 briefing, Ehanire said an analysis of Madagascar’s ‘COVID Organics’ shows that the mixture contains largely anti-malarial constituents. The Minister added that relevant agencies will further evaluate the herb to determine its effectiveness in treating COVID-19. According to a report by CNN, the children matched the streets chanting the phrase that has now become famous, Black Lives Matter . "We are the children, the mighty mighty children. Here to tell you, Black lives matter!" chanted the children as they matched down in Kirkwood . The children marched down the sidewalks in the company of their parents on Saturday, June 27. Police in Meru County, #Kenya are pursuing a suspect who chopped off both arms of his brother-in-law for blocking him from a land inheritance entitlement from the marriage with the victim’s sister . The victim, 22-year-old Earnest Kobia is recuperating at Kenyatta National Hospital . According to the victim’s father Charles Kiraithe, the suspect Jothum Mwenda attacked his paternal son Kobia for opposing Mwenda’s marriage to her daughter . From the marriage, Mwenda was entitled to a piece of land; an inheritance which Kobia was opposed to . “They have been having quarrels for along time threatening each other after my young boy expressed the discontent of the suspect Jothum Mwenda to marry his sister and inheriting the piece of land I gave them(sic),” Kiraithe told #PeopleDaily . Kiraithe also said the suspect had been threatening his son but he(Kiraithe) did not take the threats seriously because Mwenda always looked calm . “I did not take his threats so serious because he was such a humble man but I remember him telling my son that if he continues standing between their marriage he will eliminate him,” he added . Since 2015, Mwenda and his suitor (Kobia’s sister) had been living at the girl’s home which made the girl’s father (Kiraithe) allocate them a piece of land . Confirming the incident, Igembe South police boss Henry Onyango said they are following up on the matter and waiting for the victim to get out of the hospital and record a statement to help the police arrest Mwenda . Suspected Nigerian fraudsters, Ramon Igbalode Abbas a.k.a Hushpuppi and Olalekan Jacon Ponle a.k.a Mr Woodberry have been extradited to the United States. This was confirmed in a post shared on the official page of the Dubai Police. FBI's Director, Christopher Wray thanked the Dubai Police for their cooperation in extraditing the Nigerian suspects who were accused of committing multiple money-laundering and cyber crimes. The Instagram post read; The Director of the Federatal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Christopher Wray has praised the exceptional efforts exerted by the United Arab Emirate, represented bu the Dubai Police General HQ, in combating transnational organised cybercrime including the rrecent arrest of Raymod Igbalode Abbas, known as "Hushpuppi" and Olalekan Jacon Ponle aka "Woodberry" who were taken down in opetation "Fox Hunt 2". Police in Kakamega have launched a hunt for a 40-year-old man accused of killing his friend-cum-colleague after allegedly catching him (friend) engaging in sexual intercourse with his (suspect’s) wife. The incident happened at the home of the suspect, Edmond Inzai, a resident of Kona Mbaya Village in Lugari Constituency in Kakamega County on Sunday night (June 28). The deceased, 32-year-old Fred Khamasi, a youth leader at African Divine Church (ADC), left his home at around 9pm Sunday without disclosing where he was going, his wife, Ann Alusa, told K24 Digital. “Later, at around 11pm, he returned home with deep panga cuts inflicted to his head, arms and different parts of his body. Blood was gushing from the cut parts,” said Alusa. The distressed wife took her spouse to Lumakanda Sub-County Hospital, where he died while receiving treatment. Authorities have since established that Khamasi was attacked by Inzai; a love rival, the husband of a woman he (Khamasi) was allegedly caught having sexual intercourse with on Sunday night. |

Mr Kueng, who faces charges of aiding and abetting in Mr Floyd’s death, is out on bail, hounded at the supermarket by strangers and denounced by some family members. Access Bank on Sunday said it will refund its stamp duty deductions made from the account of its customers after a social media outcry on Saturday. Stamp duty deductions apply to all credit received into current and savings accounts in respect to electronic transfer and teller deposits of N10, 000 and above. The money is remitted to the Central Bank of Nigeria. The collection of the fee took effect in February but the bank delayed inadvertently its implementation until this week. Access Bank said in an email it sent to customers on June 23 that it “will be required to process the accumulated charges” incurred between February 1, 2020 and April 30, 2020. But many customers said they did not see the bank’s message and huge social media backlash ensued when Access Bank began making the deductions incurred since February. Shock hit Naivasha town in Kenya after a woman poisoned her four children to death on Saturday afternoon. Beatrice Mwende Kimotho, 42, is alleged to have locked her children in the house before giving them poison at Kabait Estate. The children were aged between two years and eight years old. According to the police, they received a distress call from Jackson Kimani Kimotho, the woman’s brother saying that she had asked him to check on the children whom she had killed at her house. The police officers gained entry into the two-bedroom house and found the bodies of the four children, three girls and a boy, on their beds with traces of vomit and blood on their mouths. He said that the sister posts pictures of the children in a family WhatsApp group, urging them to pray for the children as she killed them. The man identified as Femi Alli who resided at Victory Park Estate in Lekki, Lagos killed himself after stabbing his wife, Olamide, to death on Sunday, June 21 . . The man reportedly began to question the paternity of their second child after a mandatory DNA test they took for their Canadian visa showed that he was not the father of one of their children. He then questioned his wife, which led to him stabbing her to death, and then taking his own life. Femi allegedly tied her hands and taped her mouth, then began to uproot her braids with pliers. He then allegedly stabbed her viciously in the eyes, then about 11 times all over her body. Following the horrendous murder, he is said to have drank sniper in an act of suicide. WWE legend The Undertaker seemingly announces his retirement from the wrestling ring in the final episode of The Last Ride. The Undertaker (Mark Calaway) has been a feature attraction for Vince McMahon’s World Wrestling Entertainment for almost thirty years, making his debut at one of WWE’s signature pay-per-view’s Survivor Series in November 1990. The Undertaker’s mythical ‘Deadman’ persona has long been praised for its longevity, and in more recent years, he’s taken a part-time role, wrestling on a few occasions in big matches against John Cena and even Goldberg at WWE’s Super ShowDown last June. Today, WWE released the final episode of The Undertaker’s The Last Ride series, and the Deadman himself shared a video from the episode on his Twitter. Along with the video he writes, “You can never appreciate how long the road was until you’ve driven to the end.” Seemingly confirming his retirement from the ring, and the tweet goes hand-in-hand with a quote from the episode itself where The Undertaker says: “This time the cowboy really rides away.” Meaning, his Boneyard match with AJ Styles may have been the final match of his long and storied career. Twitter is on another canceling spree and this time they’re going after JUSTIN BEIBER . Following the Friday report that actor #AnselElgort was being accused of sexual assault, two women have decided to come forward with similar stories against Bieber, according to #Vulture . Danielle posted on Twitter and detailed how she met Bieber at an Austin music event back in March 2014. “My friends and I were enjoying ourselves the entire night,” Danielle wrote. “A man then approached me and my friends and asked us if we wanted to meet Justin. Of course, we said yes.” Bieber hung out with the group for a bit and invited them all back to his room at the Four Seasons. “Justin had made me agree to not say anything to anyone, or I can get in serious legal trouble,” Danielle, who was 21 at the time, explained. “He then asked me to join him in bed. That’s when I asked myself, How in the world is this normal?” . From there, Danielle claims that Bieber sexually assaulted her after they consensually made-out, even though she objected to going further with him. “My body felt unconscious,” she said. “I don’t want to go into detail about what happened next” but said he “forced himself inside” of her . A woman named Kadi claims that Bieber’s bodyguard invited her up to his hotel room after a meet-and-greet in New York City back in May 2015, where several people, including Disney Channel star Kyle Massey, were present. She claims her and the Biebs made-out on a couch, but things took a turn when he locked them in a bathroom and began touching her body . She allegedly told Bieber that she couldn’t have sex because she was waiting for marriage. Bieber allegedly sexually assaulted her on his bed, but Kadi was able to push and kick him “between his legs and run out to the living room,” so she claims. Kandi explained that because of the traumatic incident, she had to seek mental treatment and attend rehab after the assault . Now, since Kadi shared her story, fans quickly came to Bieber’s defense and even pointed out several contradicting tweets from her Twitter account . A #Colorado child died after his parents forced him to drink 96 ounces of water in just four hours . The parents of 11-year-old Zachary Sabin turned themselves into police on Tuesday after an autopsy found that their son died of forced #intoxication on March 11, according to the Colorado Springs Gazette . #ComplexMedia reports that the boy’s father, Ryan, and stepmother Tara forced him to drink 24-ounce bottles of water within four hours without eating . According to Zachary’s parents, the child had a hereditary urological disorder that caused him to wet the bed . The parents say they made him drink two 32-ounce bottles of water every day after seeing that his urine was dark. The night before Zachary died, Ryan said that the boy was drinking water and throwing up, and as the family continued to eat dinner, he told Zachary to chug the water like he would do when he was in the Army . #Complex reports that the boy started to throw a fit on the kitchen floor, crying out to his father that there was a pain in his legs. Trying to get him off the floor, Ryan kicked him but then picked him up and dropped him back on the ground. His head ended up hitting the ground hard . Ryan then took his son outside in hopes that the cold air would “snap Zachary out of his tantrum.” Throughout the night, Zachary paced around the kitchen, making strange noises, which seemed to be due to pain. One of the other five children said they saw Zachary throw up at least 10 times before he went to sleep at around 11:15 p.m . When the morning came, Ryan called 911 after seeing Zachary foaming from his mouth with blood on his bed. A coroner also found blood on the child’s forehead and left eyebrow as well as a bruise on his head, arm, rear end, and shin. The affidavit also reported that the other children were subjected to abuse, as well . Both parents were charged with first-degree murder, child abuse resulting in death, and six counts of misdemeanor child abuse. A care home for elderly people in #southernBrazil has come up with a creative way to bring some love to its residents amid the coronavirus pandemic, by creating a "hug tunnel" that allows relatives to safely embrace them . The idea emerged last month, shortly after Mother's Day, when a staff noticed some residents were feeling down . Brito told CNN the idea for the "hug tunnel" came from a viral video, where a woman in the United States created a plastic curtain in order to hug her mother . The tunnel consists of a large plastic sheet with four arm holes in it, which is attached to one of the facility's entrances. The arm holes are also covered in plastic and allow visitors to hold their loved ones without coming in direct contact with them .
