COVID-19: Umahi Bans Okada Operations In Ebonyi

Abakaliki- To check unguided entrance into Ebony state, Governor David Umahi yesterday, banned use of motorcycles, popularly known as ‘okada’ in the state.

He said Okada riders were smuggling people into Ebonyi thereby flouting government’s order on border closure.

Umahi made the announcement during a live broadcast on Saturday, April 11, 2020.

He noted that the ban is statewide, even as he frowned at the flagrant disregard for the closure of the state borders by commercial motorcyclists who smuggle returnees through track roads.

He explained that despite state government’s order closing down Ebonyi borders to protect the people from coronavirus disease, commercial motorcyclists and vehicle operators have continued to bring people into the state.

Umahi further warned that any vehicle caught flouting the lockdown by bringing people into the state will be impounded and auctioned off.

Meanwhile, in a statement by the SA to the Governor on Media, Mr. Francis Nweze explained that the ban takes effect immediately.

“The Governor of Ebonyi State, Engr. David Nweze Umahi, has noted with dismay how misguided elements hire motorcyclists popularly called Okada to enter Ebonyi State through track roads which contravenes the COVID-19 Law 2020 and as a result, has directed immediate ban of the use of Motorcycles (Okada) in Ebonyi State”.

“This directive is without exception and the ban is an all-time ban across the state. It is imperative to note that our dear Governor is working tirelessly to ensure that this deadly Coronavirus does not enter our dear State and will not relent in his efforts to ensure that the COVID-19 Pandemic does not enter Ebonyi”, it stated.

Health / *$20 Trillion Lawsuit Against China For Releasing A Biological Weapon Of Mass D by Jimalicoco(m): 11:39am On Mar 29, 2020
*BREAKING NEWS AND RIGHT STEP IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION BY THE AMERICAN LAWYERS*

*This is groundbreaking news! It will confirm the truth or falsehood of claims that COVID-19 is a biological weapon.*

*$20 TRILLION LAWSUIT AGAINST CHINA FOR RELEASING A BIOLOGICAL WEAPON OF MASS DESTRUCTION CALLED COVID 19*

*US group says coronavirus is bioweapon*

A $20 trillion lawsuit has been filed against Chinese authorities in the US over coronavirus outbreak. American lawyer Larry Klayman and his advocacy group Freedom Watch along with Texas company Buzz Photos have filed the lawsuit against the Chinese government, Chinese army, the Wuhan Institute of Virology, Director of Wuhan Institute of Virology Shi Zhengli and Chinese army's Major General Chen Wei.

The plaintiffs have sought $20 trillion, which is a bigger amount than China's GDP, claiming coronavirus is the result of a biological weapon prepared by the Chinese authorities.

They have accused China of aiding and abetting death, provision of material support to terrorists, conspiracy to cause injury and death of US citizens, negligence, wrongful death, and assault and battery.

They allege the virus had released from the Wuhan Virology Institute. The plaintiffs stated that the COVID-19 virus was "designed" by China to kill mass populations. Biological weapons were outlawed in 1925 and hence such a biological weapon is a terrorist-related weapon of mass destruction, the lawsuit mentioned.

The American group cites multiple media reports that said that there was only one microbiology lab in China that handled advanced viruses like the novel coronavirus -- in Wuhan. To cover up, the plaintiffs alleged, China linked statements on coronavirus with national security protocols.

Klayman and the plaintiffs also alleged that Chinese doctors and researchers who spoke out about coronavirus and "raised the alarm to the outside world internationally" have been "silenced". They added that such was the desperation of Major General Chen to save herself from the virus that she injected herself and six members of her team with a potential vaccine that was yet to be tested.

They also alleged that all the defendants were working together to perpetuate "international terrorism".

The lawsuit stated that while coronavirus is slow-acting and slow-spreading to be used against a country's military, "it was designed to be used against the general population of one or more of China's perceived enemy nations, such as the United States."

The American plaintiffs also asked for a jury trial against the Chinese defendants.

School closure is not enough...

Markets, malls, churches, even public transport that move people need to pause.
We still dey play..Italy is in crisis now because they treated this case lightly and it grew in geometric progression.

Two weeks shut down with stringent measures is what we need now
